It originated from the idea of returning to a "natural" nature and not trying to control it like the landscape architects of the baroque era did. Since then it has always been a back and forth between landscape gardening trends. After some time the grass on the other side always looks greener i guess.

@@GuyWets-zy5yt 🙂 if I had such a beautiful garden, then at the very beginning, along with the hanging plants, I would have planted some large hanging fern on the walls on the left or right sides 🙄, or if there is a constant shadow, then you can put for example some Asplenium nidus in a pot on the ground or Asplenium wiminii, as they grow on trees and do not like too much watering and direct sunlight 🤔, and than on the opposite wall attach slightly smaller plants to create the illusion of depth and volume🙃, as on the paintings and there will be a beautiful Zen garden😇💫🧘♀️

Korea is the same. Moss lives only in the mountains. So I have to water it every day. Tap water often contains lime.
There is nothing compared to the wilderness that nature offers. ❤️
