- Beechcraft V35B Bonanza C-GTVB is seen taxiing and taking off from CZNL in Nelson, British Columbia. This is my first catch of a V-Tail Bonanza, what an awesome general aviation aircraft!
the v-tail is a classic.. was one of the 1st higher-performance fixed wing we all wanted to fly.... great catch!!
I love these things, the tail looks great. Was happy to finally get one on video!
As far as I'm concerned the V tail ids the only true Bonanza. The A33 and A36 should have been given a different name.
I've always loved the V-Tail Bonanza's, I've had the privilege of flying in one several times with my Father-In-Law in his 1955 Beech F35 Bonanza. Great Catch :)
I love the look of the V-Tail as well, such a classic design. I'd love to get up in one some day.
Very nice model of the 73, V35b, beautiful. Nice video 👍👍
Loved my V35B! Wonderful airplanes!
I have checked this film out because I am mourning my friend who has passed away yesterday. He owned a 1972 V35B throughout the 1990ies before he switched to vintage biplanes. He held a CPL instructor rating and had also been my flying instructor some 30 years ago, and we did the occassional hour in the Beech. What a change that was from the C-150, and what a treat! I always thought that by showing me the ropes on the Beech, he had handed me over a part of the sky. May he rest in peace in the heavens above.
I'm getting to this video a little late but definitely has my vote for BestInClass 2020 Av (single engine) video of the year!! 🛫
Thanks for the long hold-I hoped for a come-back and bam 💥 super added value! Shadow and everything. 🤤
Stunning Bonanza....A real classic...Engine sounds awesome....Well filmed my Friend...Cheers....Steve.
Thanks very much Steve!
Gotta love the unique V-design!😍
I agree, love the V-tail Bonanza. Always a fun aircraft to see.
That tail looks so epic :)
I love the V-Tail :-)
Wonderful Bonanza catch! That V tail makes the model look 20 years younger :D! Some sort of hippie from the 90s :D! Liked for sure and have a nice week pal
Thanks so much, I love the look of the V-Tail.
Lovely catch!!
Thanks!
Wow, I never seen this tail before. Interesting.
This was my first time getting a shot of one, I love the look of it.
Preston Snowbird been around since I think 1947.
Stunning catch again man! I loved the sound of the spool up! Very nice view on that and great camerawork again! :)
Thanks again my friend!
That's a great catch! Superb video of the departure!
Thanks a lot!
What a cool aircraft! I love seeing those! Awesome catch :)
Thanks very much!
V-Tail with tip tanks...nice!!! I love the location from this end of the runway too as most are from RW 22, plus the sound of the water while the plane is on climb out, great vid!
Thanks very much! It's one of my favourite location to spot from, you get a great close-up view and it's really easy too :-)
Awesome video mate! It's nice to see a plane with a V-tail!
Thanks very much!
Superb video of this nice Bonanza! Huge like!
Thanks a lot!
tornado alley turbonormalized v35. beautiful!
Great looking airplane!
I love this little aircraft :-)
Amazing as usual, love the departure there
Thanks!
Beautiful video!
Thanks!
love the tail!
Same here!
Great video, that's an interesting tail design!
Thanks very much!
IDK if anyone else noticed, but check out the shadow at 2:40.
That's pretty neat, looks like they were quite close to the mountain!
There is not much better looking out there.
Also the sound of the 520 is amazing!
They do look great indeed, one awesome little aircraft.
I like saying the word "ruddervator".
Awesome takeoff! Liked! :)
Thanks a lot!
This V tail makes the Bonanza very unique.
I love the look of the tail, was happy to see this one!
A2A the best and most realistic airplanes to simulation. Please going to x-plane! I love the constellation is my favorite plane and most simulated plane i ever see on simulador. Resume that plane in one word: AMAZIN! Sorry about english i'm brazilian and don't speak very well
Ham fisted throttle jock. Need to treat that beautiful Bonanza better. "Mike" Kelly "Old School" Aviator and high time Beech Bonanza pilot and CFI
Very nice airplane. And it looked quite heavy with the rather sluggish climb rate.
I was happy to see this one, first V-Tail I've been able to film. It did look like a pretty slow climb out.
Dang! No room for error.
From what I understand from a "V" tail owner, the tail tends to drift and needs constant correction. That a conventional tail doesn't have that problem.
How do rudder inputs work on these? Is fixing for yaw easier, harder, or about the same in a v-tail compared to a regular plane?
Seen those a few times ;)

a unique little plane and these bonanzas have been around for awhile. is this a relatively new model? classic little prop! rob
These ones are pretty cool, I've always liked the look of the V-Tail. This one was manufactured back in 1973.
Looks like a bit of trouble getting off the ground
Does it fishtail? I saw, some old V-bananzas have a stab fins under the body, like a fish
Thanks for the video! Awesome machine
The 35 Bonanza models are just downright sexy! Use to fly this model back in my 20s. I see this was shot in Canada; what airstrip, does anyone know?
I agree, love the v-tail! This was shot at CZNL in Nelson, British Columbia.
Isn't that the same plane that crashed in 1959 with Buddy Holly on board? I remember there were several theories. Overloaded, pilot not instrument certified, cold weather, spatial disorientation due to some unfamiliar gyroscope that was installed. Take your pick.
Thank you, Sir. Of all the comments on this Video you are the only one that mentioned this "Star Killer." It is a beautiful Plane. But, if you look at the record for these there have been a lot of crashes.
Bonne prise de spotting
Merci!
Looks like it was hot that day.
And /or heavy.
It was pretty hot out indeed.
Turbo normalized aircraft perform well on high alltitude and hot days. I think it's just climbing out at 130+ knots to keep chts down that's why it doesn't look like it's climbing fast.
That’s a TN nice
Creo que estaba apurado.
Which airport is this? Looks like BC.
Never mind, I watched a few more of your vids. Nelson, very nice.

O dia que á musica morreu.
Same kind of plane buddy holly died in
Yes, very similar to this aircraft.
Beautiful plane, a pity it is too noisy 😖
