I don't know....?? Mad Max, Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunder dome...... the trilogy, was a complete story........ I remember reading they were doing a fourth Mad Max....in the early 2000's . was waiting for the promo, never saw it.... maybe they scrapped it! Then of course,Mel Gibson's , DUI arrest and the outburst he had..... the trilogy is still the best, and it was reflected of the times we lived in....
I like seeing a release every 20 years, don't milk the shit out of it like marvel, otherwise we'll be getting a furiosa prequel, a feral kid series and a Gyro man origin story all on the Disney channel. The best parts of Mad Max were left unexplained.
Don't get me wrong, i DID enjoy Tom Hardy as Max Rockatanski & i genuinely loved Fury Road but Mel Gibson will always be the OG. I love that they are all filmed in my country & some locations from the original are not far from me. Mad Max 2 will always be my personal favourite.
Yes, Road Warrior is the best one because it is actually about Max and gives us more Interceptor time. Fury Road is a great movie but Max is basically a side character in it. Now they are making a Furiosa prequel which I’m not excited about at all since we already know how it ends and what happens in it.
Aye, enjoyed Fury Road for what it was, but it lacked the same feeling of the first three movies, they felt more grounded and gritty. I remember watching the Road Warrior when I was about 7 years old, the whole movie just stuck with me, loved everything about it, the characters, the setting, the awesome cars, I remember my dad had a ton of movies taped from the tv on VHS, and he had a book that listed what was on what tape, and I just went through the lot, all the classics, Alien, Terminator, Mad Max etc nothing beats the old movies, practical stunts and clever camera tricks etc, long before cgi. 38 now and the Road Warrior is still my go to movie!
