Kid do what I do for the kraft shield holder down to tescos or any other big store and get a load big boxes for nowt of them and carve them up using one of the trimaco cardboards as a template.
Hi cam just a quick question, what tip do you use to cut your ceilings and walls in? Also what pressure? Could you do a speed test on cutting rooms in for us?
no probs , I actually spray my walls and ceilings to a finish but I can do a speed test on just cutting in . I would be using a graco Ltx 517 spray tip and the pressure will be around 2200 psi. I'll do a vid this week
cam decorations thanks mate, I have learnt a lot from your videos I currently use a Graco ultra but you have convinced me to buy something bigger Iv gone for the q tech qp019 to see how I get on. A cutting in video would help a lot, could you show us how you would do the kitchens an bathrooms??
Hi colin can i ask with the reveals that weren't mist coated i notice you gave them a light spray was that paint watered down or is it the same consistency that you use for finish coat?. Thanks so much love the videos
Hi Colin do you ever run oil base through your sprayer if so what do you then clean it with, secondly do you always use pump armour or is there a cheaper alternative. Thanks buddy
Yes there is a cheaper version I use , it's called q tector it's about £14 a litre and that litre should last you about a year you can buy that from www.airlesspro.com. I don't run oilbase through my sprayer but if your going to do that you just use white spirit to clean everything up with unless your using some kind of shellac paint or cellulose paint then you would use the correct thinners to clean it down with
Down to the local deals or poundshop and buy a bottle of premixed anti freeze it's 70% glycol it's what Gracos pump armour is basically made up from. Being using it for years works like a dream.
@@camdecorations9779 I found with meths, white spirit you want to be careful with it evaporating I went to use some of my machines and when flushed fuck all of it was left.
You could spay it again with in an hour if you've got the heating on. Me personally I would give it a day because you've still got to do your prep work on walls and ceilings.
Yeah there really handy things to have I'm always trying to find things that will increase my speed or better protection or improving my technique , you never stop learning in this game
@@chadpayne2472 your new in the uk to spraying, we had shields 15 years ago no one uses them now, you to will learn why... its the owner that's paying for materials anyway...
I just watched your video. Thank you very much it was very helpful. thank you for taking the time to help.
Thanks terry
Hi mate, where do you get the trim coat shield from?
Kid do what I do for the kraft shield holder down to tescos or any other big store and get a load big boxes for nowt of them and carve them up using one of the trimaco cardboards as a template.
6 inch wienie roller to roll off excess paint and use it also to cut in window to keep from over loading shield with paint.
Use 1 shield per reveal , stay at the right distance and angle you won't need to use a roller for excessive paint
Used the Trimaco ones, there not bad , got an old metal one as well

@@johnmcmorrow1104 snap I’ve been using antifreeze in my GRACO 390 for years, Cheaper and works great 👍

Why are you mist coating. There's no reason for it ...
Can I use this to cut lines on my wall/ ceiling
No you have to do it the old fashion way by brush , there's nothing out there that can beat the accuracy of a brush for cutting in
Marvellous x
