The ore dock you said doesn’t look like it’s in use but still is, looks that way because it is in fact not in use. An easy way to tell is the fact the there are no train tracks that go to the top. The ore dock that’s still in use is by Presque Isle Park.
This is, simply stated...the BEST damn video on You Tube~ WOWOWOW...in case you can't tell, I'm a Yooper...born and raised right here in Houghton County. I learned stuff today, I did not know, and this is going to baby bro, who will, I'm sure...share it with the Detroit RedWings! This is sooooooooo phenomenal. Now, when you come back U.P., you HAVE to hit Copper Harbor...Where Michigan STARTS! Come back. I cannot wait. Climate Change is doing things tho...last year, people were skating in the ore dock in MQT....Please, please, please come back. I need more phenomenal~!
Nice video, but a clarification. You show the "lower harbor ore dock," as you make reference to the Presque Isle (upper harbor) ore dock. The upper harbor dock is still in use, but the lower harbor dock has not been used for decades.
During the mining days, Calumet ALMOST became the State Capitol. (Thank God it didn't).....I love seeing those dogs run...every single one of them is smiling! GREAT interview on the Dee~ This is really well done! Thanks for the share!~
Very cool to see the U.P in the winter time. What a place to visit!! I want to try it in the Summer time myself. Also, not sure if anyone here watches a very successful group of DnD players called Critical Role? But this shows host Matthew, looks almost identical to Travis Willingham, a voice actor.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video. Thank you for making it. In your travels, are you going to make a winter video of Sault Ste. Marie, MI? I think that be a good one to.
The lower harbor ore dock is not in use. You can tell this because there is no longer a train trestle connected to it. any more. The Presque Isle ore dock is still used but not in winter.
Hello all, hoping a few people that wander through might chime in on my question of if you could live in Marquette or Duluth what would you take and why? Thank so much
should check your facts before you put out a video. that bore dock in Marquette hasn't been used for years and years. there in a ore dock in the upper harbor that is used today. Eagle harbor is not at the tip of the Keweenaw it's Copper Harbor.

Thanks for the winter tour. I'll be going up in the summer - maybe I'll see some of the same sights.
