From first moment i saw the percs from this armor i knew this is the best armor so i got it very early. CRIT based Build is absolutely insane.
Add this runes to the armor and your weapons and wow.
CRIT Chance + CRIT Damage + Attack + Melee Damage + Light Damage + Speed + Weight decrease + Armor.
I love one thing about this channel and that is that it is going straight to the point and not trying to reach 10 minutes by just adding useless info so keep it up man you help a lot with this type of content
It's why I chucked in a sub.... Half of these RUclipsrs are pissing about pushing patreon, sponsors and everything else for 5 mins plus before even starting what ta came for.. I'm far more likely to part with some cash on channels like this one.
I’ve read the armor stuff but never REALLY read the weapons stuff. Just looked at highest stats and used it. Pretty neat! Thanks for the tip
At the moment and mid and end game I’ve mostly used Raven Clan Armor and when I reached the point of the inbetween of mid and end I fully upgraded it to mythical. For my weapons I use Mjolnir and the Blacksmiths Hammer (which I recently began doing)

I would also reccomend the Galloglach set,it's very tanky and also gives you a little bit of damage.In general i use 3 sets for all 3 of the classes,hiiden one's set for assassin,Thor's for bear and melee and galloglach.

I run thegns with lots of health and the best bonuses for health and resists I can find, with dual spears with increased DMG, heal on Crit amongst other things and the Spartan bow for more crit after dodge.
Even though it's a store set, but I'm liking the Nifleheim armor! I bought it a few months ago, but I've been rocking it, ever since! I have it saved in the armory!

i am using a poison/critical set using the draugr set and thegn set and love it
another very nice set especially for raids and simply eradicating camps and locations is brigadine set for its bonus of increased armor (and at 5/5 melee damage as well) when surrounded by 2 or more enemies,logically this set is great to be used with lagertha´s (dane) axe and/or fafnir´s fang spear for having effects triggering when surrounded by 3 and more enemies,namely critical damage when we speak of axe and critical chance in case of the spear.

I got the Raven Clan set pretty early on and it worked OK. The game isn't that hard so I never felt like I had to seek out any other armor sets. Now I'm level 400 and I'm collecting everything and it feels a little pointless but it's kind of fun.

Raven Clan armor actually has really good stats on it. Did half my playthrough with it and switched to Mentor's. Now that I've finished it I'm running Thor's but not sure if I like it all that well.
@@Southernboy302 See this is the thing i dislike about the Thor armour. It takes ages to get it and then after you get it, i was like well where can i fight lots of enemies to test it out? I wish raids could be re done or something just to fight hoards of enemies

I have the stuff from my Twitch account they gave for free and I've been using that and just upgrading that. Tired of the looks so I actually spent money on the gear with the big horns in the flames on the head but I've been using my spear the whole game pretty much.

I got the thegn’a armour early in the game ( at power 90 ish) and now I’m power level 185 and I’m still using it and I really like it because it’s looks amazing ( honestly the cloak is so cool , you look like a jarl when you put it on ) and it is so good
I got it at 50, I really love rushing for the best armors
Berserker Armor is good, I recommend it.

What pieces of the mentor set did you use?
Have you made a current video for the DLC Ragnarök? With all those new pieces being added in-game and also the Helix Store? I need help deciding and building my set before I use all my resources on other sets. Personally, I like to go in guns blazing. Hardly ever go for defense (mostly forget I can parry) and just go Berserk. Gives me that authentic vikingr vibe.
For boss killing it's hard to beat the Mentor's armor. Use viper bow with the Focus of Nornir abilty to build up critical chance to %30, and that's when the Mentor armor shines, giving you plus %20 attack on those crits, (the speed bonus is also key) then slot as many crit runes and you can fit into your weapons/armor and it just destroys. I'm 130 hrs in, tried every armor set and many builds and it's the best overall imo. And if you really want overkill use dual spears with that setup.

I played my first play through of the game with the full thegn set I easily beat anyone I came across and I knew spending those hours getting all the parts was 100% worth the struggle

If you’re playing after the druids dlc. I like the Iberian set that increases attack after dodge, melee damage & evasion

Duel spears is better. Just as fast with hast runes and better reach and aoe
Chad Hadley I got bored with Spears. I have healing dagger and the same healing rune on my claw dagger. Stacked with 2 chain attack runes and two +2 crit chance runes on dodge. I melt zealets and bosses

Chad Hadley Kopis dagger, Suttungrs Claw I have the matching rune of the kopis dagger on my Claw. I have a heal hitting weak points on my bow. I heal no matter how I attack. Also with brush with death skill slow motion bow ability still heals you on hitting weak points. I tap my dodge right at enemies to set off the armor and claw dagger I just go ham melts in minutes. Faster you attack more heals happen
I have it at level 130. It was a bit difficult to get it. After that things really changed. Armor is really good
I got thegns armor as soon as I arrived in england. It was a challenge but fun
If you’re not a parrying player would Niflheim and mentors armor combo be good when paired with Excalibur?
I used the set with dual dagger hit and run. Critical damage and stun help.
I finished the game with brigandine armour i found it good

I find that 2 pieces of mentor armour and 3 pieces of thegn works best, especially with excalibur and gungnir
I found 3 pieces of the thegns set so I had to get the rest which took so long to find for me
Currently use the raven clan set and mix it with pieces of the thor or mentor sets

Took many hours to get and its good
My go to is 2 pc of berserker, 2 pc Brigandine, and one from the Thor set for that hefty amount of armor, slotted with evasion and weight reduction runes. I leave the dmg for my weapons and playstyle

I got the poison set from the Ubisoft first week and haven’t used anything else. Poison build slaps😂😂 and you get the build up runes,damage sweet build
I've been rocking the fallen hero set from the second I got it. It took me to and through the endgame with varin's axe and the blacksmiths hammer I am a God.
looking for consistent armor bonus ? St. George armor set. plus 30 attk plus 10 speed for 30' secs just with a spear off hand attack or a heavy sword finisher.
You gotta use the lightest armor for maximum stamina
I'm lucky to 4 dodges in the thegns armor vs 6 or 7 from the assassin's armor

So I have the Mõdraniht set for now which I am working on upgrading. I have no idea what kind of runes I ought to be using though. I just have additional health runes for now as I am stuck for choice
I just started playing and I'm level 37 would I get destroyed if I go pick up these armors or are they in a low level areas?

Plus Briton's Shield in the other hand to get a free 30% health for every parry 👌
i tend to pair the armor set with weapons having effects happening on parries and crits like kopis+briton shield,sepulcher axe+bloodwolf/sarcophagus shield,draugr set´s hammer+morrigan guard/medusa shield (and speaking of a poison build i actually mixed thegn´s with 2/3 pieces of draugr´s to have better damage against poisoned targets).and for bow i go with viper light bow.
@@r3l1csvk That looks fun.. You sure are creative with your armor and weapon combinations. But for me, Thegns and Excalibur combination are one of the awesome one.. Thegn's set compliment Excalibur really well, since Thegn's effect is to increase critical chance when parrying, and Excalibur's effect is to blind enemy with critical hit.
@@Ash20597 you do you,i just realized i can put runes into weapons and armor,lol,checked what runes i got and going to experiment with these weapons especially with sepulcher axe as i have a rune for poison cloud on parry,fire ring of parry and healing on parry runes as well (thiking that my first testing will be sepulchur weapons to rune cxombo like "sepulchur own igniting on crit+poison cloud on parry"),also the healing when hitting weak points rune i am going to experiment on a bow,combining it with using of Nornir ability.
EDITED:funny,it seems storing Healing On Parry rune on a bow does the healing as well,nice then.
@@Ash20597 and yeah that excalibur is of those "feeding on criticals" weapons he spoke when mentioning the hammer.

I was going for mentors armor but got thegns before it and since I use thegns
I got the thegns Armour when I was around power lvl 70 and its carried me all the way through the story, combo that with the Briton shield and you can take on all of the games bosses
When I get further into the story ima get Excalibur use the skill to dual wield two handed weapons and dual wield it with Odin’s spear

I prefer the menthors robe, it is very light and you can dogde alot and the stamina bar depletes slowly!

Looks alright, but Thor's armor set with Mjolnir and Gungnir is excellent as well. Takedowns in three hits or less. Gungnir in left hand and using special attack LB first, and if that doesn't kill them right off the bat, follow up with a Mjolnir heavy attack RT.
But what’s the point of that? You get Thor’s hammer at the end of the game
This was my only real complaint. Thor’s hammer and this set would have been SWEET in the mid-game.
Mentors set with dual spears is OP. Although i just paired thors armor along with mjolnir front hand n gungnir back n its unstoppable

Thegn plus mentor is really, but I use Blacksmith hammer and suttungr claw.
The Thegn armor has good stats & perks but it physically looks like a Knight's armor to me. Eivor is a Viking so it didn't make sense to rock it. Raven Clan worked fine for 2/3 of the story & then I used Brigandine for raids or group battles & Mentor for stealth missions & zealot fights to be quick. Something interesting is there's 2 bear (heavy), 2 wolf (medium) & 4 raven (light) base armors. Thor's armor is a side quest. Does anyone else think that maybe Ubisoft was giving us a hint? 🤔
I like gold mentor hands, mask, theign armor, legs and raven cloak for looks.
the hammer doesnt work with the set right it knocks guys on the floor negating the effect from the theigns set or am I mistaken? Love the vid btw
not quite,as he mentions the hammer feeds on those crits the armor produces aka you do parry,increasing crit chance because of armor´s 2/5 perk and with the hammer when you do actually crit hit with it you trigger its effect.building up and dishing out.to same category count those three weapons i mentioned in one of the comments above,kopis dagger,sepulcher axe and draugr set hammer
Personally I like the Brigandine armor set the most but theign armor set looks pretty awesome too

I got Prime so once I opened up England I got The Carolingian mythical outfit and spear
Oh and what are those rune cool-downs just above the adrenaline bars telling me?
I would wear this set even though I'm not a parry fighter... I wish there was a combat practice mode apart from the main game so you could practice parry and all your abilities etc
You can always go to Ledecestre and practice there. It's a power 20 area and there are enough combatants. I've been practicing my perfect parries and when everyone's dead, I just go to another place like Tamworth Fortress to the west and rotate between them.
Hidden ones armour is the best if you want something to be helpful in higher end areas , hidden ones armour and advanced assassination can see you killing everybody damn easy
Any of the armor sets are good / decent if you upgrade them and get good runes in them.
To make this game a better challenge, go no higher than flawless and only use 2 pieces / set max.
So what is the mix between armours?
I used the elf set till i got to 177 then started using the magistrate armor. The difference is not noticed.
The weapons ate noticed though.
Thane is badass.
I find it to be kind of meh personally. Its decent but because I dislike the look and I have a thing for spears and daggers its not for me. If I was going ro use it I would have to say Id need the Royal Guard anf the Carolingian Longsword for fashion statement. Add in three runes for Stalwart Protection Rune, Fire Guard Rune, and Spark Guard Rune and Id be setup nicely. Kind of a psuedo Fire build.
Is the Thor armor better ?
