i think i figured something out while rereading the reverie arc in the manga, chapter 907, page 6, hina says "Garp, speaking of big mom and kaido (they were having a discussion about the 2 emperors meeting up) isnt the reason youre considered a marine hero_" shes then cut off by garp who says "Oh you mean rox? I'd have figured you were too young to know about that hina" my point here is, how the hell did garp know what hina was going to say, and theres only one answer, future sight, like sure you could just say he predicted what she was going to say, but he rlly did imply he heard what hina was about to say with "Oh you mean" it makes perfect sense for a legend with no devil fruit to be skilled enough in haki to have future sight

So we already know what would happen if "Garp Fought Akainu At Marineford" from Oda himself. A speculation video is kind of weird when the answer was already provided to us.

I don't think Old Whitebeard could have taken Akainu, it would probably come down to stamina and Akainu would outlast him, I think the same is true for Garp, but there's no way Akainu is beating Garp after all the damage he took from Whitebeard.

They might lose in a 1v1 but we can't even be sure of that, considering Roger for sure had a far superior crew to any marines that might be following Sengoku or Garp. I don't know if we can say the same about Whitebeard's crew. Either way Roger had all the advantage in every encounter and Garp is still giving him a run for his money so having him in a tier below Roger is straight up unfaithful to Oda's writing.

The explanation considers than manga events of Marineford only: Akainu got cheapshotted by WB, to which he stood up later and blew half of his head off. WB then disregarded that fatal damage, and immediately quakes Akainu's ribcage, after which Akainu ends up coughing blood and slipping into the crack in the ground to fall down. I think the anime adaptation undermines both Akainu and WB. Akainu wasn't going to lose to Garp in Marineford. In fact, Akainu would have probably roasted him. It won't be an easy fight, but Akainu isn't losing to old Garp. Prime Garp and WB are a different story though. Both of those would body Marineford Akainu.
I’m not sold that even current akinu could match up, garp is the dude that was there fighting the strongest. I’m betting when we see garp now we will see some crazy haki feats like shanks. Shanks and garp will be the new haki power level that the new generation have to measure up to.
If Garp wanted to fight, Akainu would have sensed the most powerful haki he's ever seen behind him and before he could comprehend what was going on, he would find himself flying circles around the world as if Kuma hit him with a hole in his chest or missing head. After seeing how Shanks one-shot Kid with Roger's attack, I'm sure Garp has some very powerful moves that can easily end pre-timeskip Akainu. Not sure how strong past-timeskip Akainu is, but even now Garp would put up a good fight or probably even win depends.

Relating to garp’s bounty, I’d actually put it at a similar level to roger. Roger and garp were rivals and on similar power levels, so it’d make sense. But I’d put garp a bit lower than roger, so about 5.4 billion berries. Roger’s was 5,564,800,000 berries. I’d put garp’s at 5,468,500,000 berries.

He did. He also answered a fan on this very question. He said if Garp fought Akainu, he'd also have to fight Sengoku. Garp would beat them both but would die of his wounds soon after. So we already know what would happen if "Garp Fought Akainu At Marineford" from Oda himself. A speculation video is kind of weird when the answer was already provided to us.

I don't think Old Whitebeard could have taken Akainu, it would probably come down to stamina and Akainu would outlast him, I think the same is true for Garp, but there's no way Akainu is beating Garp after all the damage he took from Whitebeard.

@@BDDterror He's implied to be somewhere in that tier. There's statements from Roger saying he only has fun fighting Garp and Sengoku. Garp is portrayed as a rival to Roger, we've seen Roger and Whitebeard clash, we know they're pretty much equal. For Roger to have fun Garp and Sengoku must be in the same league. They might lose in a 1v1 but we can't even be sure of that, considering Roger for sure had a far superior crew to any marines that might be following Sengoku or Garp. I don't know if we can say the same about Whitebeard's crew. Either way Roger had all the advantage in every encounter and Garp is still giving him a run for his money so having him in a tier below Roger is straight up unfaithful to Oda's writing.

He was equal to Roger at god valley plus they had a history already. This 10 year's before Rogers prime and WB prime so we think they remained the same lvl for like 12-15 years after god valley? but some how WB and shiki got all the way up to them after a like 7v2 loss. Or is it they was both prime at god valley but in 12 plus year's they got no stronger and WB shiki was able to grow. And all the way throughout the story we see characters get stronger at different speeds. Sentomaru was stronger than luffy 3 year's ago so he must still be? No he gets washed by sanji nowadays but as soon as u say garp or mihawk no logic

The explanation considers than manga events of Marineford only:
Akainu got cheapshotted by WB, to which he stood up later and blew half of his head off. WB then disregarded that fatal damage, and immediately quakes Akainu's ribcage, after which Akainu ends up coughing blood and slipping into the crack in the ground to fall down. I think the anime adaptation undermines both Akainu and WB.
Akainu wasn't going to lose to Garp in Marineford. In fact, Akainu would have probably roasted him. It won't be an easy fight, but Akainu isn't losing to old Garp.
Prime Garp and WB are a different story though. Both of those would body Marineford Akainu.
I’m not sold that even current akinu could match up, garp is the dude that was there fighting the strongest. I’m betting when we see garp now we will see some crazy haki feats like shanks. Shanks and garp will be the new haki power level that the new generation have to measure up to.

After seeing how Shanks one-shot Kid with Roger's attack, I'm sure Garp has some very powerful moves that can easily end pre-timeskip Akainu. Not sure how strong past-timeskip Akainu is, but even now Garp would put up a good fight or probably even win depends.

Relating to garp’s bounty, I’d actually put it at a similar level to roger. Roger and garp were rivals and on similar power levels, so it’d make sense. But I’d put garp a bit lower than roger, so about 5.4 billion berries. Roger’s was 5,564,800,000 berries. I’d put garp’s at 5,468,500,000 berries.

There was no debate on that from the start, even roger said that they almost kill each other, only stupid would think that roger could kill by someone, he is a monster, when he said that, it means garp did injured him in battle. But people wont accept that lol, they always think about smoker which always chasing luffy. Even on flash backs, garp surrounding was totally destroyed, thats forshadowing that garp did that.
