Someone in the comments mentioned that the twist is that Pip was being bullied, and that bully tossed her sketchbook into a muddy puddle. With the Meta humor that it has it could be possible. Especially when Pip said that her characters are her only friends. Sure liking anime is OK now but in the 90s and early 2000s you were possibly going to be made fun of.
The Art of Murder is just another milestone for showing what Indie Animation is capable of. I love how all the characters have distinct art styles of different media and bring together all kinds of genres. You have cartoon, Naruto, Disney Princess and a OC sketch. I love that so much!
3:29 That line resonated with me hard since so many fictional characters tend to be just as great friends as the already great friends you have in real life. I held onto that since my elementary school years (i.e. the beginning of my academic dark ages). I have a whole collage of characters from cartoons through my childhood to now
I think the show has a lot of heart and hope it does well. Indie animation helps push the media forward. Without them, corp won’t ever see that there is a market for them
I honestly think this show was made for you. I'm so glad you got all the jokes and references since you're such a fangirl yourself! A lot of people missed that comcap joke. Glad you figured out the Joeys!
I would be interested to know sometime in the future, the characters refer to a character they themselves saw that "died" cause Pip stopped drawing them. Would make the stakes a lot higher knowing that they'd cease to exist if Pip loses her passions for a character
3:22 Hands are everyone's weakness, but I agree with feet, underrated challenge. But my personal biggest hurdle is ears. I always draw my characters with long or bushy hair as a way to avoid anything but the lower lobes. >.
They said that when the clock hits midnight they wake up but they don’t wake up until like 7 minutes after midnight or something so someone must have woke up early got rid of OC and gone back to the sketchbook and pretended to go sleep until everyone else woke up like how the detective was last to wake up sure he get his beauty rest but maybe this time he woke up before the others on purpose and went back to sleep so no one will get suspicious (p.s if you have an argument that I can’t defend for my fact I’m deleting this comment)
2:08 I don't know about fanfiction, but I know all of my OCs are going to die... with me. Because the way my life is going, I'm going to write JACK before I meet my ancestors. Ah thanks now I'm bummed out
Okay I’m all honesty I think the dog got pips sketch book and tore out oc by accident and got mud on sousukes page and saliva on Winn and pip got the book away from him and put it back on her desk
I've been more excited about this production than I have about any indie animation in a long time. There's so much potential here in terms of references and adventures, and of course there's the mystery itself. (Frankly, I'm inclined to take the Bully Route over the Weeaboo Route, the latter being too obvious and lacking in drama.) I know original, crowdfunded animations take time, but I hope we don't have to wait on the sequel too long. (You may have heard that "Welcome to Hell" finally produced a Part II, _ten years_ after the original dropped.)
If your character you draw gets damaged or lose wouldn't you just draw the character again or get pumped up to draw the character more then give up 😅😂.
So you would rather have Teen Titans Go? Stripperella? Total DramaRama? Planet Sheen? You act like regular big corp shows don’t produce utter trash. Judging by your profile picture, you expect every indie animation to have a budget of $250 million for 2 seasons and hire 1000’s of people.
@@marcywugothat and I bet they don’t even watch some indie animations. When we have some that have grown really popular and well liked by many people who hope it can keep going for a full on series
@@marcywugo i'm not saying that people can't like indie animation, i'm saying that since they're indie, people tend to glorify them and treat them like if they're indie then they're automatically better than... idk.. anything that isn't indie. also me liking arcane has nothing to do with this, i watch both vivziepop shows, murder drones and the amazing digital circus.
@@arcticace9295 no? just because i don't like how indie animations are being glorified doesn't mean i don't watch any indie animation. every new indie project that sees the light is the "is this the new big indie animation?" and then people forget all about it in like a month lol.
I get where you're coming from, I really do, but putting down one medium of animation in favor of the other would just repeat the cycle. There are many good indie animation created with love and passion as well as so much more great and stylized shows and movies treated the same way. I guess you could say that people want a breath of fresh air, and remember: Indie animation doesnt have the luxury of pumping out episode after episode without people glorifying it. No media support, no project. Whereas multimillion dollar companies can choose when and where to create those shows, whether or not they choose quality over quantity is their choice.

Poor Pip's gonna be sad when she reaches the PowerPoint arc of Promised Foreverland :(

The dog ate my homework!

Thanks for reacting to this! I discovered it yesterday and I'm in LOVE
I love sousuke being able to understand english but not speak it, so he's just forced to listen to everyone constantly. ❤😍❤
Bro what is this ai re-posting comments from the original video😭

As a fan of Team Starkid, I'm pretty ecstatic for Joey and Lauren to be in more projects, especially in animation.
I was waiting for you to react to this! I'm so excited to see this series to come out
I love how quick you are to click with the popular theory that Pip might have done it, and highlighting specific little details:D
Fun fact! Sousuke is voiced by The Anime Man himself, Joey. :)
This is basically a more wholesome version of Drawn Together.
2:08 I don't know about fanfiction, but I know all of my OCs are going to die... with me. Because the way my life is going, I'm going to write JACK before I meet my ancestors.
Ah thanks now I'm bummed out
From one wannabe creator to another: wishing you all the time and inspiration you need to bring your creative dreams alive.
@vladimirenlow4388 bless you, mate. That's always appreciated.
3:39 :D Show. Your. Sketchbook!
I hope the film gets popular it’s amazing
Winn was wet for some reason. I wonder if that could be dog drool.
Okay I’m all honesty I think the dog got pips sketch book and tore out oc by accident and got mud on sousukes page and saliva on Winn and pip got the book away from him and put it back on her desk

A nice project.

Giorgio reminds me of Tamaki so much and i love him
I dont play Dating Sims, so i thought Georgo was a Referenz to Tamaki from Ouran High School Host Club.😅
I can safely say that I’m a target audience for this show, anyone else?

Don’t trust Winn, all my chips are on her
Can you please watch a another indie animation called "The Earth Guy"?
🤩🤩🤩
How did imiss this reaction
Zamber, you should also watch shows like Adventure time, Gumball, or Monster High G3 series.
Hi! :D
HELLOOO
im so tired of indie animations they're always so bad but people put them on a pedestal
