It always sounds so odd when someone refers to their live animals as "a collection" but I don't think I'd have any better word for a house full of spiders. :D
You just answered yourself and don't realize it. Dogs, cats, horses, ect, ect. Probably will never hear them called a collection. They have the capability form a actual bond with their owners. Spiders cannot. It's hard to explain and even though the ones of us that are serious about keeping spider's and love everything about them we can't form the same type of connection as other types of animals. Like I said it's hard to explain and something else to add as to why some of us use our collection as a way to describe our load of spiders,is some of us do keep as pets a bunch of spiders but also breeding projects to stop the poaching of rare spiders and illegal importing of WC spiders and spiders that are endangered. Come on with the comments from all the folks that hold their spider because it loves it and they know who their owners are and happy to see them all the cuddles for days and whatever. Let me know when your goldfish acts the same way......❤
If my bf wouldn’t stop me, I‘d have a collection of doggos and ponies, too 🤣 I‘d have a book, ticking off pictures of every breed I like and bring home 🤣 LOL I know what you mean. I’m a native German speaker and I don’t even know if we‘ve got a better word. I can’t use the 1:1 translation of collection to describe my collection of tarantulas 🙈 I always tell people that I‘ve got some kind of a zoo with terrariums at home 😂 Because if I use „Sammlung“ (= collection), it sounds like I got my home stuffed up to the roof with tarantulas, it has kind of a little negative undertone.
It just goes to show when they call it a collection its more for the content and not the animals themselves. I have over three hundred invertebrates called them a collection. They are all my babies. Even when why i buy slings in bulk to grow out to sale later, its still even hard to let go when its time to sell them.
This video is sad to me not just because one of your pets passed away but your rehousing video of Clover a while ago was the first video I watched of yours and it’s what inspired me to get my own tarantula so thank you and thank you clover :)
so sorry to hear about clover, she was a beauty. i lost a jumper in a similar way, it was so sad. petal is gorgeous! sometimes maintaining contact (like with the paintbrush) is slower but they're less kicky bolty about it than doing the taps. she was so good for you tho!
I don't know about Amy but I'm sure itching!!!!!! :-) I re-homed my N. Tripepii and she (hope) kicked hair all over the place. I itched for two weeks and broke out. Brother called me "spot", guess it's my new name now!! I got mine last year and she was barely half an inch. Now, about 4, grows like a little weed!!!! I'm hoping to make the St. Louis show in November and if I do, I will see you and Amy there. God bless! 😊
I found that covering the mesh top with saran wrap, it held in moisture and humidity from occasional misting. I did leave a 1 inch gap open down the long side of the enclosure and my rose hair always molted well
RIP Clover 🍀 and welcome home Petal 🌸!! So wish I still lived in Illinois😟 Mississippi is just to long a drive to go to an expo, but I really would have loved to go and meet you! Hope you have fun and bring home many goodies!!
Congratulations on new T. Sorry for your loss of the other. I've been hesitating getting this species because of their tendency to be hair kickers. I have a Tliltocotl albiceps that kicks hairs. I wasn't near when it kicked but got an awful rash on my hand, so I must be sensitive. I think I fear the hairs more than I do the fangs. Thanks again Tarantula Kat for inspiring me to start keeping these amazing animals. I get such enjoyment from this hobby. I've not really enjoyed much of anything since 2016. I lost my nephew to suicide, then 8 months later my mother passed suddenly. Keeping these amazing creatures have given me such joy that I haven't had for so long. I started watching your Jumping Spider videos thinking I'd never want a Tarantula, but you just made it seem so cool and I love being creative making up their enclosures that I couldn't resist. I don't know if you realize what an amazing affect your videos have, but they do! Thank you so much and keep creating amazing content. You're greatly appreciated!
Im so sorry about the loss of your T. I've only owned one T so far, and it was a sling that unfortunately mismolted. It was really hard because it was my first T, and I loved it so much. I'm going to be getting another one in a few weeks, and I'm so excited.
I'm so sorry for you loss...😢 Hey, if you want to use more snake plants without them getting taller in the enclosure try the " hahnii " variety! They stay smaller in hight. It can be really beautiful in your enclosures!
How special to have such a thoughtful friend! I’ve got a girl, a curly hair, I’ve had for about 14 years. She had a successful molt about a month ago. I was afraid to look the next morning. But, she’s fine. Won’t eat, but, it’s always something. Right?
I had wild caught (on mybalconykhm) jumper in small enclosure, for about 3 days, then i let her on my plants to feel free to go, and she is staying on my dracena for more than a week now. ❤ She accepts every bug i give her. But now im really considering to buy a tarantula or eresus 🤭 thanks to you, im kinda obsessed with spiders all of a sudden. I was never afraid of them, but also never considered them more..
I'm so sorry about Clover. She was a beautiful spider. Now she is catching horned worms in the spider afterlife. Sometimes these things happen and we don't really have an answer as to why. Unfortunately it's a part of keeping a large number of animals. Something eventually goes wrong with an animal despite best intentions and efforts. I finally got a sexable molt from my 3" N. tripepii Sandman, (its name was going to be Tumbleweed if female.) and sadly he is a boy, so I won't have nearly as much time with him. It's always disappointing to find out you have males that you don't have a female to pair with. Especially if it is a species that it is hard to find a mature female of. Like my gorgeous male Tliltocatl epicureanum is going to mature in the near future and it's a pretty rare species in my country (rarest of the Tliltocatl genus.) and I'm very unsure I will be able to find a mate for him. Especially through breeders I know and trust not to screw me lol. I would hate to let a rare male go to waste. My 1.5" Kochiana brunnipes had a bad molt her last molt. Her abdomen didn't fully form on both sides before she molted. I've been closely monitoring her humidity levels and feeding her the bare minimum to avoid her abdomen popping because the exoskeleton is sooooo thin on the abdomen sides. I think she is going into premolt again. I'm so worried about her next molt but I really hope that with the extra TLC I've given her that her new exoskeleton has fully formed. I don't know what could have caused this which is so frustrating cause I don't know how to prevent it from happening again. :( Good luck with your new N. tripepii!!!
I am So happy for you. I am happy as well. You know it's Tarantula migrating season, and I have Always wanted to see one in the wild. Today, my dream came true Y'all! Here in Colorado, on Phantom Cañon Road, in Penrose, I saw a male crossing the road. Me and my husband hurried out of the car, and he helped it cross to the other side, where the male Tarantula was going. We stopped traffic, which wasn't many cars. They knew what we were doing. So yes, I am So happy. If anyone would like to see the pictures and a couple of short videos, I will be posting them on my RUclips page just for Y'all. Can't wait to see more here in Colorado...Have a Wonderful evening everyone ♥️🕷🕸😊😃😊🕸🕷♥️
Love Petal and her enclosure. I have two female Tripepii. They are such a pretty species and spicy. Can be quick to throw threat postures and love to kick hairs as you already know. Amy seems like an amazing person. Don’t know her personally, but I’ve ordered from her and Quentin before. Have a great day 💜🕷️🕸️
I am really sorry about Clover Kat😢. I have a couple I would grieve over God forbid something happened to one of them. Petal is a cutie pie with her bald butted self😊😅. Tyfs God bless you
love the enclosure setup, I'm looking forward to my tlitocatl kahlenbergi's rehousing. I'm going to be shooting for a similar "raised roots" or "rubble" hide
My female G. pulchripes went downhill and passed despite having access to sufficient water and food. She was older in age and larger in size and even fed a couple of months prior to that end. I know how you feel. :[
I have a question my juvenile curly hair is not eating, she has a tiny white bald spot , she just stays in her den she isjt in premolt chs she molted in march and then again in july and her abdomen isnt black its like a white color . So any ideas why she could be not eating snd has a white bald spot

My nandu tripepii needs to Go, AS im stopping my tarantula hobby. Shes in her 3rd year, healthy and an aggressive b!tch. Shes the Last that i kept due to pur Special Moment when sehr kinda asked for Help after a mold and her Leg was Stuck. Shes been aggressive ever before and after, but for that Moment she would let me Help her with her legs.

The collective noun for a group of spiders is called a cluster or clutter
I agree. I always feel a bit weird calling my spiders a 'collection', but it's the easiest way to describe them, I guess.
If my bf wouldn’t stop me, I‘d have a collection of doggos and ponies, too 🤣 I‘d have a book, ticking off pictures of every breed I like and bring home 🤣 LOL

No matter how small, the souls we choose to spend our lives with are important. I’m so sorry for your loss.
This video is sad to me not just because one of your pets passed away but your rehousing video of Clover a while ago was the first video I watched of yours and it’s what inspired me to get my own tarantula so thank you and thank you clover :)
That enclosure really came together well! It looks like a little hollow at the base of a mossy tree.
Congratulations! She’s a cutie. Sorry for your loss. I know how you feel 💔 had my first T loss recently with my blue fang sling.
oh no! sorry 😞
So sorry to hear clover passed she was one of my favorite. She had such a personality her.

I’m sorry I commented on the humidity thing again,I deleted it, I’m not a perfect keeper by any means, your videos are 25% how I pass the day
wow i knew they were fluffy but this one also has such a beautiful rose-ish color
I am really sorry about Clover Kat😢. I have a couple I would grieve over God forbid something happened to one of them. Petal is a cutie pie with her bald butted self😊😅. Tyfs God bless you
The snake plant is epic
AND SAND FOR TEXTURE!!!! *SPRINKLES MAGIC SAND*
love the enclosure setup, I'm looking forward to my tlitocatl kahlenbergi's rehousing. I'm going to be shooting for a similar "raised roots" or "rubble" hide
Wow! What a blessing she was able to be to you by gifting you a 🆕 tarantula!! 🙌🥰❤️😁😍😎 God is good! HALLELUJAH! RIP CLOVER.⚰️🕯️☘️🍀 💔🥺🌈🕷️♥️

Love your videos and the cute little spiders
Awesome video thanks for sharing
My female G. pulchripes went downhill and passed despite having access to sufficient water and food. She was older in age and larger in size and even fed a couple of months prior to that end. I know how you feel. :[
i love your content, keep it up ❤
Sorry about your tarantula lost

Slowly wanting to get a spider as a pet.
Petal is such a good name!
I love her name and enclosure ❤❤❤
When are we ever gonna get another gummy worm feeding video? WE ARE WAY WELL OVER DUE FOR ONE OR TWO OR THREE OR FOUR. 😂
Hi Kat! Did the hairs will grow back on your tarantula? I don't know much about spiders and tarantulas...
yes they will :)
@@tarantulakat thank you for ansewering! 😁
I was really a afraid of Tarantulas but I think there gowning on me
I have a question my juvenile curly hair is not eating, she has a tiny white bald spot , she just stays in her den she isjt in premolt chs she molted in march and then again in july and her abdomen isnt black its like a white color . So any ideas why she could be not eating snd has a white bald spot
Hi, Tarantula Kat! I love all of your videos! However, I want to inform you that I am Deaf. Lol that’s on my bday! So cool
Great video
Where is ur intro song from? I know i know it. But i can't place it and its driving me crazy
Petal is beautiful! Even with her bald spot… I have an Arizona Blonde with a bald spot. Look at the spot as unique 😊
She loves it ❤
Beautiful tarantula.
wow! A real beauty-I’d definitely send Amy some $$$$ anyways!! 😁😁
of course
Question - how long will it take her to grow back all the hairs she kicked off her abdomen?
Hello, I am writing to you from Turkey, what exactly is it that you poured into the video at 8:16 seconds in the video, you said that you enagelled the formation of mould and fungus, does it not disturb the tarantula, well, can you inform me, I have a regalis tarantula, I wrote from the translation because I do not know your language, thanks in advance.🕷
merhaba size türkiyeden yazıyorum videoda 8:16 saniyesinde içerisine döktüğünüz tam olarak nedir küf ve mantar oluşumunu enagellediğini söylediniz tarantulayı rahatsız etmiyor mu peki beni bilgilendirir misiniz benim de regalis tarantula var dilinizi bilmediğim için çeviriden yazdım şimdiden teşekkürler.
🕷
She’s beautiful!
22 comment awesome video today kat you are the best and the greatest ever and happy Sunday 💪👍💯💯💪👍💯💯👍👍
Can you do a video of all of your current pets?
Are you going to Denver oct14-15
No sand for the texture
Can't wait to see you there! Have a gift I've been looking forward to handing to you in person if you'll accept 😊 🕷 🕸 little piece of Wisconsin love ❤️
These grow very fast. Have 3 of them. They hate bright light. They skittish. Kick hairs like I see in video. But they real awesome. Ours are like 10 dollars for 1. Like 200 rand or so. The hobby not so big here. So the tarantulas are cheaper. Your cage looks good. Why do you use crikets? I like dubias and redrunners. Any food is good I ques. Saw the nematode videos. Damn thats crazy.
Ello i hope its enough substrate. Cuz I have 3 of the nhandus. The chromatus, trippepii and a coloratovillosus. All are adults female and they live all in a borrow. I gave them more than 20cm of substrate and they are all 3 touching the bottom of the enclosure. So they are under 20cm of substrate. Yours is little so I hope it's enough but adult size put them 20cm of substrate they gonna thanks you
Will her bottom grow the hair back? X
I 💛 my snake plant
20 t's is still a decent collection
Don’t you have a helper with your animals?
And watch her web up everything.
I love feeding videos wouldn't mind. Seeing petal try a gummy worm bet she likes it.
🕷💙💙💙🕷
It’s never easy to lose a pet. But I’d like to think Clover is going after the ghosts of the roaches she ate in life lol.
Has Oscar kicked the bucket yet? I know mature males don’t live as long but he was always my favorite. He had quite the story.
Hi
Finger food 😃
First!❤❤❤
Hi tarantula kat, I am from Manchester England, I have been watching some of you videos aswell as liking videos I like, but I really am unable to subscribe to your channel, the reason for this, is am shit scared of spiders as a 39yr old English man, I literally panick and scream at the site of the Autumn aka fall season or spiders, nowadays they are absolutely debo of a house spider, literally this may not be good to hear, but I had to splatter a big boy in my bedroom, when I say big boy this was a house spider on steroids, it's petty palps was that obvious you could assume it was a heavy weight boxer of the spider kind, the reason I can't subscribe, is due to I will only have 1 spiderman/ spiderwoman within my subscriptions and I truly have to stay loyal to The Dark Den aka Petko, he is my 1st and only spider man to truly like and follow, I think that's due to my arachnophobia and me panic of spiders, Petko's Linda when lunging for prey makes me jump and panic, I truly have to apologise for not being a subscriber, but I really can't subscribe to a 2nd spider channel, Truly keep up the great work for your channel but I had to be honest as a uk Mancunian
😂🤭 Love this, crazy story
My nandu tripepii needs to Go, AS im stopping my tarantula hobby. Shes in her 3rd year, healthy and an aggressive b!tch. Shes the Last that i kept due to pur Special Moment when sehr kinda asked for Help after a mold and her Leg was Stuck. Shes been aggressive ever before and after, but for that Moment she would let me Help her with her legs.
Love her. I was so pleased to se her eat!!!! I hope she give you many years of pleasure.
Well if ya didn't give her much damp substrate to burrow in, the same thing will probably happen to this one 🤷♂️
4th lol jk jk
I'm sorry to be a buzz bummer. But I can help but think the way she was transferred. I've seen being rough with all packages.
