What we've needed for a long time - a striker who is quality back up, can make a genuine difference off the bench, who can come in for cup games and not only push the no.9 to keep him honest, but potentially take the starting spot from him and hold on to it.
100% yes.
Absolutely! I would love to see him added to the squad. Especially for that price.
He sounds like a good squad player so buy him if he's only £12m
Great prospect still, plenty of Europe experience at 21 AND worked for Alonso. Great young back up for £12m
I've always like Hložek. I think he has a ton of potential and could be very successful with West Ham if given the chance. Give me more U23 wonderkids!
Go after the Canadian striker, anybody faster than Ings 😀
For reference that’s more or less the same amount of minutes Benrahma had before he left on loan…and 10x the output
Love him. Sign him op!
nooooo
12m could be a bargain. Got some very good players ahead of him at Leverkusen.
5:01: all the above should be Antonio's role next season..
I say that, i think were still 2 players away from replacing Antonio. Even if we signed a CF, i'd still play him LW.
Yes, not as main striker
At 21 he should be entering his peak level. I also belive he can further improve a bit but to improve dramatically (as his expected potential was much higher that his actual performance) he needs a proper coach, not just a manager. Xavi sells him as he does not see future in him. He needs a coach who can see that future in him otherwise he will not show much more than he already has. That´s a question for his agent. For West Ham...absolutely ok player. A fighter. Physically and mentally stable. And whoever will utilize that dynamite the kid has in his legs he can have a gem of a player... ruclips.net/video/MMJbS1OQqMg/видео.html
21 is not peak for a striker in the slightest
@@jayhag5481 By peak I mean a longer phase. Some 10 yrs maybe. He is entering his top potential phase, if he is to fulfill the above average expectations from him (top europian player) this is the time for him to start showing top performances or stay just average. Still a solid player. Can be better a lot (goalscorer) but will not underperform in terms of work at the pitch. Good deal for West Ham if they strike the deal, my opinion.
Put that money towards AWB.
IMO he’s a back-up.
Great return for minutes played
People said that about Ings. Carried in a 2 man partnership. Average as f**k.
@@damiandamico4715 this guy's literally getting a goal involvement every 90 mins that's really good. Plus he is young. He scored against us in the quarter finals so he can do it on a big night. He seems good but can see why he's behind Victor Boniface
@@scottbarnard4659 Easy to break it down into those kind of statistics when he barely plays. He's brought on in a 2 man partnership, late in games. I'd only be interested if we got Ings off the books. Otherwise, go and spend the money on players who are going to impact the starting 11. He's not the level required. He's Leverkusen's 3rd choice striker.
@@damiandamico4715 He's still young I would prefer Boniface but I'm sure whoever is on Tim list will be a top player. I'm really not feeling this Max Kilman deal. It seems so much for a average CB.
Hlozek & En Nesyri for less than £30m would be give us solid options up front. Think Hlozek will develop into a very useful striker but needs minutes if he’s to develop.
I'd rather one top player than 2 average ones.
Or you could just buy one proper CF rather than 2 average ones.
@@damiandamico4715neither of them are average. What I assume you mean is you want an expensive “name” like we’ve tried several times over the last 7/8yrs rather than buying someone who fits the system (like En Nesyri or Hlozek).
@@damiandamico4715
@@davidclerihew3539 No, I mean both of them are average and only one of them can play. El Nesyri is better than Hlozek; Hlozek is literally Bayern Leverkusen's 3rd choice striker. I've expressed this on numerous platforms, you get what you pay for when it comes to CFs. Why would you split the budget across two players when only one can play? There is nothing more infuriating than watching us when the person leading the line isn't pressing/ leading the line effectively. ie. Ings, Haller, Scamacca. The first thing I need a new CF to do when they arrive at this club is relentlessly press. They need to be able to both hold the ball up and offer runs in behind. That's why Moyes never rushed a CF signing and had windows where he opted to just save the dough until more came in. There is no point in bringing in average strikers to the club, I'm telling you. There are bargains on the market this summer due to sell-on clauses/people being in the last year of their contract, but if we cant manage a proper quality CF this window, we may aswell just wait until we can afford one and go with Bowen and Antonio as the options, rather than just picking up bang average players along the way. I will take an average full back, I will take an average right sided CB, but I will not accept an average CF. That's not the area of the pitch you cut corners on.
He's been to a few different leagues now and has not made any impact so far. I doubt he is premier league level
He scored against us in the quarter finals
@@scottbarnard4659 so many players scored goals against us it's hard to remember who.
And it's not exactly an achievement to score against us either mate
@@willdoyle6952 he's average for minutes played are really good. He's literally a goal involvement every game he plays
@scottbarnard4659 why is he always on the bench then?
Why hasn't a big club come and snapped him up?
@@willdoyle6952 Because he's bang average, that's why.
1:09: Jack of all trades, master on NONE.
I didn't see Drogba get pushed around to CAM, LW etc. LOL. Because he made that spot his OWN. Please don't bother flooding the squad with average players. If the rumors of price regarding the Luton lad are true, he is a MUCCCCCHHHH better option. Frankie, back me up, bro. I can hear that your also unconvinced.
Adebayo would be a much better signing.
No from me for Hložek
Antonio needs to be moved on, so, yes.
Hlozek (or whatever his name) is not fit to carry Antonio's jock strap, son.
21 v 34 says he is!
@@PaulLucas-iv3oe 3rd choice striker vs the best player in the Leverkusen home tie, says it.
@damiandamico4715 He's 34 and injury prone. Got to go!
@@PaulLucas-iv3oe I suppose Alvarez needs to go then?
Meh. I'm sorry, but Meh.
