Oh, they are buddy and you gotta remember that’s where a lot of good members that were in the original lineup got poached and the other bands never forget that!!
They should’ve been invited to the big four because they were doing it way before metallica Megadeth, any of those bands other than iron maiden, which is a completely different kind of music!!!
***** Right on brother, I'll be 47 this summer and my first show was Kiss in 1977. Still own the Tour program and I had Paul sign it last year when he was here in town on his book tour. Rock on brother!
+ZBlacktt I AM 47 and still like good thrashing (not some moaning and whining shit), but I like punk, post-punk and hard core as well. Also like other genres like classical, jazz, even goa and some electronic subgenres... There's a lot of good music and good stuff can be found across almost all spectrum of music. But to find something good in soul and rap is entirely impossible. That shit should have been forbidden by the law.And yes, Exodus is THE trash as it should be. Turn the volume to the max and bang your head.
slam dancing,Crowd killing(was called opening up a fucking pit in my day)finger pointing, piling on the singer..hardcore and Crossover Thrash metal brings back those days
Del had the same one back in the late 80's, 88 or 89 I forget.. had the toxic avenger moshing on the front and green silhouettes of shoes doing a dance move on the back. great shirt.
I am a relative geezer now but grew up in the 80s. Metal always seemed pretty much underground and was basically Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, Dio, Accept and Scorpions. When it started to get popular, bands like Warrant, White Snake, Winger, White Lion, Poison, Motley Crap and Dokken came onto the scene. Bands like Metallica, Exodus, Overkill, Motorhead, Testament and Slayer took the chops of metal and combined it with the aggression of punk to make thrash. Metal really never reigned but always had a loyal fan base compared to those who follow pop and go with the flavor of the week. Sorry to geeze but that is my two cents.
the holt / hunolt duo with their exchange of guitar solos surpasses any group but the powerful voice of Zetro and the forcefulness of the drummer. Exodus is in fact among the greats. live Exodus.
Here's a new dance craze that's sweeping the nation It's called the toxic waltz and it's causing devastation You're jumping up and down like a psycho circus clown Slamming with waltzers all the way around You get caught up in the whip, you thrown into a flip You aim for someone's head to stain the floor red Give someone a kick to prove you're truly sick Bounce back from some blows and blood runs out your nose Flailing round and round and you're injury bound Waltz it up! The pit is it! You can take your chance on this rough new dance If you dare! To dive in! There are some that try, but they won't survive They don't hit! 'Cause they're wimps! And this exercise helps you brutalize With us! Exodus! Everybody's doing the toxic waltz Kick your friend in the head and have a ball Come on and do the toxic waltz And slam your partner against the wall Everybody's doing the toxic waltz Good friendly violent fun in store for all Get up off your ass and toxic waltz If you hit the floor, you can always crawl! Used to do the monkey, but now it's not cool The twist and mashed potato are no exception to the rule So don't be a dunce and dance like a runt Just throw your elbows with good friendly violent fun Don't start to cry if you get a black eye Just dive back in and give another try But too much action may leave you in traction So you better get insurance, no matter your endurance Flailing round and round and you're injury bound Waltz it up! The pit is it! You can take your chance on the rough new dance If you dare! To dive in! And there are some that try, but they wont survive They dont hit! 'Cause they're wimps! Do the toxic waltz! Do the toxic waltz!
This brings me back when i was 15 now I'm 50 i still love this heavy metal group i still listen to heavy metal it makes me feel young again this was alway played on the headbangers ball on MTV then VHI stared play stuff like this then both music channels went down
If only someone could invent a time machine I'd happily travel back to the 80's and early 90's to see all these bands. Don't get me wrong, I was a teenager back in those times and did manage to see some of the bands like Exodus but not that many. It was just a different time as well with almost all albums being on tape or vinyl. CD's started getting more popular in the early 90's. Anyway, I have fond memories of the times I did get to see bands like this but I would have liked more.
+Jeremy Gillihan I would like to round it up to eight adding Forced Entry. Their second record "as above, so below" still kicks ass to this day. Please give it a listen.
I still remember jumping in and moshing to this and looking forward to Slayer being the next act on stage. Damn what a brutal event! Would do it a thousand times over! Mossssshhhh!!!
If i had to explain to someone what thrash metal is I would just put on this video and explain as it goes, it really captures the entire genre and culture in one video.
Aaron Mester People who say they don't like megadeth has never heard Rust in Peace. I will admit they haven't been good since endgame, but Rust in Peace is a masterpiece.
Wish more guys dressed like them, this is how I dress, non less I'm not going to mosh then I wear a dress haha, I seriously was born in the wrong era.. But hey, that's what music is for and what little bands that are still together and go see. Long live Thrash!
Ariel Foxx there out there. you just gotta find one. i love thrash. i love metal. i just gotta build up my metal tee collection. life happened. and i had to throw them out. slowly building it back up. the best decade for metal is the 80s. then the 90s. after that its all core. good luck.
This is a top 5 of all time. No debating. I was listening to the local college station last night (WSOU) and the girl was playing a buncha alternative grungey stuff. She goes "were giving away smashing pumpkins tickets.. All the ppl calling in to tell me to play EXODUS, I see you... We're not doing that right now OK?" Which is what I was in the mood for too. Go figure.
Some of us are Dads and we need to turn this over to our sons/daughters so they can keep it true. My kids love when "dad" listens to his music. God Bless Metal.
The Toxic Waltz = OH YEAH! The "pit" back in the day was insane! Chains, studded belts, Steel toe Boots etc. Blood flow onto the floor. Oooooh the memories :P
All you guys who grew up listening to this are fuckin lucky !! I have been told by numerous people I belong to the old school metal crowd !!!!!!! What I wouldn't give for a time machine to go back and grow up in this era
My tuppence worth. Can totally confirm this is fair representation of an Exodus show. Good friendly violent fun. My best ever gig, ever was Exodus Bristol Bierkeller Fabulous Disaster tour so 89? Top guys as well, actually just hung out with fans, had a beer and chatted. Then mayhem. Big shout to Acid Reign as support as well.
This is what mosh pits and pit scars are all about!!! I remember the first time I seen this video on headbanger ball and I was hooked!!! SLAYER pit was the most brutal I've ever had the pleasure to be in!!! FKN LOVED IT!!!
I haven't heard this song since 1990 when I was 12 and it was free on Sam Goody's new 'Personics' system, which was a À la carte cassette-based system for creating your own mix. Usually songs were $1. But many were free. And this was free. I liked it. And I still like it 27 years later.
I have listened to hundreds, upon hundreds, of metal bands, an i am convinced that EXODUS is the most UNDERRATED metal band of ALL TIME.
YESSS I TOTALLY AGREE
YES!!!
AGREED
Oh, they are buddy and you gotta remember that’s where a lot of good members that were in the original lineup got poached and the other bands never forget that!!

Zetro's back mother fuckers .

This band kicks ass. I am new to Exodus.
Same
Same, this song is so fucking good. But i wish they made another album with baloff
You had to have lived it,good times and much respect to you.
at least you found them early on in life so you have many years to enjoy them
who cares... you are never too late to listen them🤘🤘🤘
When people ask me if I like to dance. I say "Yes!, Mosh pitting is the way I dance. My favorite dance move is the Toxic Waltz".
"Mosh pitting" dude I'm so triggered
I was in a mosh pit thrashing to this song and album in 89. Good times.
+Lenny Webb Don't worry, he's not wrong, he just transforms into 10 people and makes his own mosh pit.
As long as it doesn't include karate... THERE'S NO KARATE IN THE PIT.
slam dancing,Crowd killing(was called opening up a fucking pit in my day)finger pointing, piling on the singer..hardcore and Crossover Thrash metal brings back those days
I think people underestimate Gary. He has Dimewhammy balls out going on!
me too ^^ btw, thanks for your lessons bro, helped me a lot in the begining :D
***** Piss off, Dukes is the best thing that happened to Exodus since Bonded By Blood
***** Rob dukes isn't uuter shit. he is doing a great job.
Never anything but good stuff . Dude kicks ass
talk about Gary when Rick is still there.... i kinda feel sad for Rick nowadays
This song is a hell of an experience live, let me tell you that.
+ChernovFan100 Fuck yea BEEN THERE Done
that got the black eye to prove it LOL
+ChernovFan100 It's on my bucket list. It's the last of the "great thrash metal band+mosh anthem=unreal pit" experiences that I have yet to try.
If "Raining Blood" by Slayer is on that list, I've done it.
It was a party !!!!
ChernovFan100 holy fuck it is. seeing them for the second time in july, survived the waltz the first time, not sure about the second haha
fabulous disaster is a hell of a album
Is a fabulous disaster
My old roommate introduced me to Exodus and I LOVED them from that moment on. So sad these guys didn't get as big as Metallica and Anthrax
Oh shit it's Metal Jesus! I was gonna say something like "wow you listen to good music" but I mean, no duh lol
anthrax and exodus rule they are primal back then and they still are
Who cares? They tour more than Metallica and Anthrax and their shows don't cost hundreds of dollars lol
+MetalJesusRocks
Exodus has a more successful discography than anthrax in terms of sales.
+IIIRattleHeadIII and quality xD
I have a pic of myself wearing this album tee back in 1989.
LOL! KRATO!
Del had the same one back in the late 80's, 88 or 89 I forget.. had the toxic avenger moshing on the front and green silhouettes of shoes doing a dance move on the back. great shirt.
Hahaha xD I've had Pestilence with ants xD U remind me that hahah xD
And WHITE with Slayer band.
Gammacide & Atrophy... Whos that lol?
Rebel Wolkan Sorry, I didn't order the word salad.
My dad showed me this when I was 8 ...and I loved it ever since

If you hit the floor, you can always crawl...Yup...those were the days!
That description says everything
This song takes me back when Thrash Metal was so popular and great. I miss those days of thrashing. We need to make it popular again.

Yesiwaltzedinstloyisin89
Damn, I'm a black metal type, but I can't resist some good old thrash.
Know any good black metal bands you could recommend?
josh Abar darkthrone, Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Immortal, emperor and maybe Burzum
Dissection, behemoth, mgla, emperor
Exodus deserved more a place in the Big 4 of Thrash than Anthrax
Agree
miss the days of when metal reigned
they still to me
in blood?
me too there Mr. dandy just seen Megadeath, Metal Church, live for moments like that. Metal to the end
All right
All right

one of the best thrash tunes- EVER
Kreator slayer exodus testament... The ones that keep me looking back. Havok has a future kids are doing good these days.
The Man I’m 12, Havok is (one of) my favorite band(s).
I know this comment is old, but warbringer, vektor, witchery, lazarus a.d, evile, violator, suicidal angels are great new wave thrash bands also
No f*cking comparison with exodus, kreator, slayer & testament.
the holt / hunolt duo with their exchange of guitar solos surpasses any group but the powerful voice of Zetro and the forcefulness of the drummer.
Exodus is in fact among the greats.
live Exodus.
thrash will never be as good as it used to be this kicks ass
El Thrash en todo su esplendor...Absolute Masterpiece!
piece of time is even better
shutup

Sionoooo lml
3:48 uno de los mejores riffs de la historia del thrash
AGREEED HAHAHAHA
Here's a new dance craze that's sweeping the nation
It's called the toxic waltz and it's causing devastation
You're jumping up and down like a psycho circus clown
Slamming with waltzers all the way around
You get caught up in the whip, you thrown into a flip
You aim for someone's head to stain the floor red
Give someone a kick to prove you're truly sick
Bounce back from some blows and blood runs out your nose
Flailing round and round and you're injury bound
Waltz it up!
The pit is it!
You can take your chance on this rough new dance
If you dare!
To dive in!
There are some that try, but they won't survive
They don't hit!
'Cause they're wimps!
And this exercise helps you brutalize
With us!
Exodus!
Everybody's doing the toxic waltz
Kick your friend in the head and have a ball
Come on and do the toxic waltz
And slam your partner against the wall
Everybody's doing the toxic waltz
Good friendly violent fun in store for all
Get up off your ass and toxic waltz
If you hit the floor, you can always crawl!
Used to do the monkey, but now it's not cool
The twist and mashed potato are no exception to the rule
So don't be a dunce and dance like a runt
Just throw your elbows with good friendly violent fun
Don't start to cry if you get a black eye
Just dive back in and give another try
But too much action may leave you in traction
So you better get insurance, no matter your endurance
Flailing round and round and you're injury bound
Waltz it up!
The pit is it!
You can take your chance on the rough new dance
If you dare!
To dive in!
And there are some that try, but they wont survive
They dont hit!
'Cause they're wimps!
And this exercise helps you brutalize
With us!
Exodus!
Everybody's doing the toxic waltz
Kick your friend in the head and have a ball
Come on and do the toxic waltz
And slam your partner against the wall
Everybody's doing the toxic waltz
Good friendly violent fun in store for all
Get up off your ass and toxic waltz
If you hit the floor you can always crawl!
Get up on your feet
Don't look so obsolete
And thrash like an athlete!
Don't sit there on your ass
Don't look like you got too much class
You'll be harassed!
You know we guarantee this is the key
So rage or get the third degree!
You begin frontal assaults and start your somersaults
And do the toxic waltz!
Do the toxic waltz!
Do the toxic waltz!
Do the toxic waltz!
Do the toxic waltz!
Take me back to those days
This brings me back when i was 15 now I'm 50 i still love this heavy metal group i still listen to heavy metal it makes me feel young again this was alway played on the headbangers ball on MTV then VHI stared play stuff like this then both music channels went down

I wish I had someone to mosh to this with...
It’s 2024 and I still say Exodus should’ve been invited to the big four because they were doing it way before anybody else !!!
It should've been the big seven with these guys, testament, and overkill.
+Jeremy Gillihan
THANK YOU!! \M/
what about nuclear assault?
+Jeremy Gillihan
I would like to round it up to eight adding Forced Entry. Their second record "as above, so below" still kicks ass to this day. Please give it a listen.
+carlo formosa ditto NA were definitely pioneers
Add death angel, flotsam and jetsam and metal church you get the big 10
Holt gets all the love deservingly, guys a beast, but Rick Hunolt was a monster too, perfect duo! H-team baby! Two awesome shredders \M/
I still remember jumping in and moshing to this and looking forward to Slayer being the next act on stage. Damn what a brutal event! Would do it a thousand times over! Mossssshhhh!!!
these damn scene kids need to watch this and see how to mosh instead of playing rig around the Rosie and running in circles.
+Timothy Quinn Lol every metal show I went to had real metal heads circle pitting.
those only are fun when you got people running both ways.
Rico Pacheco for real, metal bands call for circle pits all the time, I don't know what this guys going on about.
Timothy Quinn that's why you run against it man hit it head on
Or that dumbass "shadow punching" shit.
If i had to explain to someone what thrash metal is I would just put on this video and explain as it goes, it really captures the entire genre and culture in one video.
ONE OF THE GREATEST DUEL LIVE SOLOS
Everyone's talking about the Big Four, but everyone forgets Megadeth? My list?

Megadeth
Testament
Slayer
kreator

Aaron Mester People who say they don't like megadeth has never heard Rust in Peace. I will admit they haven't been good since endgame, but Rust in Peace is a masterpiece.
+Aaron Mester
Anvil,
Exodus,
Overkill,

Forgotten big 4: testament, exodus, overkill and death angel. I'd even add flotsam and jetsam as well for an honorable mention

Mechacelzi Only found this a couple of days ago and it blew me away immediately.
Ian McLastname its ill though
Mechacelzi Yes men , this thrash song is so special , fucking intense , this Exodus era was to brutal !
Yoann Landherr i haven't heard good thrash metal like this in a long time
Mechacelzi There's a new band from Italy called "National Suicide" that sounds like a mix of Exodus and Overkill. I fucking love them, personally.
Thrash like an athlete!!! that sums up old gigs as far as crowd reaction goes.
Wish more guys dressed like them, this is how I dress, non less I'm not going to mosh then I wear a dress haha, I seriously was born in the wrong era.. But hey, that's what music is for and what little bands that are still together and go see. Long live Thrash!
Ariel Foxx there out there. you just gotta find one. i love thrash. i love metal. i just gotta build up my metal tee collection. life happened. and i had to throw them out. slowly building it back up. the best decade for metal is the 80s. then the 90s. after that its all core. good luck.

que riffs y solos...
Some of us are Dads and we need to turn this over to our sons/daughters so they can keep it true.
My kids love when "dad" listens to his music.
God Bless Metal.
I consider Slayer to be the definitive extreme metal band while exodus is one of the definitive thrash bands.
Sound Studio They've been very extreme lately
The Toxic Waltz = OH YEAH! The "pit" back in the day was insane! Chains, studded belts, Steel toe Boots etc. Blood flow onto the floor. Oooooh the memories :P
Fabulous Disaster was a wickedly good album \m/ Paul sounds sooo fucking pissed in every song on it :)
When I went to watch Exodus in 2014ish and they blew my socks off.
sure you can do the toxic waltz..but
CAN YOU DO THE MILANO MOSH?
All you guys who grew up listening to this are fuckin lucky !! I have been told by numerous people I belong to the old school metal crowd !!!!!!! What I wouldn't give for a time machine to go back and grow up in this era
Thrash Metal or Metal doesn't mean only black...Take example from these guys
Such a metal anthem! How can you not headbang to this?!
Big shout to Acid Reign as support as well.
always good to hear fuckin Exodus
Just dive back in and give it another try
Now that "Mashed Potato" commercial is running, reminded of how what "Dance" is the coolest!
My big three:
Testament
Exodus
Kreator
This song motivated the Punk Rockers to move over to the METAL side :D... The evolution of "THE PIT" started here!
This fucking song is what got me initiated into the Pit! I always ended up in the front row before the song was over!! I miss Exodus
DUDE EXODUS ARE STILL AROUND AND ARE HEAVIER THEN EVER!!!!!!!
Look up Metal in the Dictionary...You know the rest.
I used to worship thrash- this song is one of the last I`m still listening to and adore
This tune still sounds fresh after all these years.
118 pansies hit the floor and forgot to crawl !!!
No wait, entering 2019 and 677 weak-tittied wussies hit the floor and forgot to crawl !!!
They don't know how to do the toxic waltz
I love these guys but it should be illegal for 2 guys in a metal band to sing into the same mic!
This is what mosh pits and pit scars are all about!!! I remember the first time I seen this video on headbanger ball and I was hooked!!! SLAYER pit was the most brutal I've ever had the pleasure to be in!!! FKN LOVED IT!!!
Best music video of it's time. Still awesome 10 years later \m/ metal for life!!!!!!
You mean 30 years.
STEVE SOUZA****GARY HOLT******
Best live metal band! Exodus can rival any other thrash metal band at a gig, no matter where I've seen them, they have always been so fucking awesome!
Fuck yeah! THE official Thrash Anthem!! Fabulous Disaster has always remained my favorite time in Exodus.
The undisputed champions of thrash metal
Exodus was always the second band. Seen them often enough, and they rule and all, but I never went to see just them.
Ibanez vs Jackson
If ya hit the floor ya can always crawl..Freakin best thrash line!
This video needs to be shown to billie ellish fans who “mosh” like fucking pussies at her shows! I’m only 17 and love this fucking band \m/
Pinches thrahsers de los 80s

Ive been a fan since the 80s and they have paved my way for playing guitar since and i love it they kick so much ass:-)
I haven't heard this song since 1990 when I was 12 and it was free on Sam Goody's new 'Personics' system, which was a À la carte cassette-based system for creating your own mix. Usually songs were $1. But many were free. And this was free. I liked it. And I still like it 27 years later.
Exodus, Testament, Overkill and Nuclear Assault were MY Big 4.
damn i sure do miss going to shows that ENCOURAGED stage diving.
