Lol, I have yet to see one Hornet on the street. So I think this is a really bad idea. I don't think the Chinese are the only ones that Dodge want sell Alfa Romeos to.
They did not NEED the hornet…they could’ve remodeled the Journey which is slightly larger and not have a damn jeep compass which cost less with comparable tech to the hornet…when you go to dodge dealers you will see a expensive as fuck Alfa Romeo hornet and a more price friendly jeep compass with damn near the same tech…the hornet WILL be discontinued in less than a few years..no one is paying scatpack numbers on that shit
Stellantis can't get Alfas or Fiats to sell in the US because nobody wants their garbage, so the only way they can is by rebadging them. They've been doing this for years with the Renegade, which is a rebadged Fiat 500. This is also true for the Compass, and they did it with the Journey and Dart. Dodge could have rebadged the Jeep Cherokee as the Hornet, which would have been great since it would have had been American built (the plant that built them had to go idle when it was dropped and is now building batteries for vehicles that aren't going to sell, absolute smack in the face to the workers) and still had a regular V6 option for people who don't want to deal with turbos. It could have been adapted to the Tonale's hybrid drivetrain to give it as an option too. That doesn't make Alfa money, though, and since they care way more about them and Fiat than they do the US companies, they decided to go this route instead. Ironically the Cherokee absolutely destroyed the Hornet in sales, so going the cheap route kinda blew up in their faces which gives me a bit of glee to watch.
tbh, as the other guy mentioned...the dodge hornet has a baby powerplant with a turbo 2.0 as the highest trim and a 1.3 engine which seems like something that'll fit in an atv. and the title alone will be marked out through the roof...the journey did offer a v6 and could at least get you through traffic, was pretty affordable and while compact, alot more spacious than the journey..the hornet basically is a waste of money with no pros at all and the rear space is horrid..
Ever since they stopped the hellcats the company went downhill quick
You heard it here FIRST….Tim K. is going to GM to head PONTIAC!!! Going to keep, the V8’s going! Get ready for a new Trans-Am with Hellcat power.
Yup, we know. I was hoping it would’ve been Maseratis rebadged but, unfortunately, not the case.
Tim go to Ford by bringing back a Coyote based Cougar from SVT
Stellantis can do anything they want. That doesn't mean customers will buy the product. Just like the Hornet...
Nobody buys the STELVIO now. Who's buying the Dodge version 🤔
Where's the Dodge avenger versions of the stelvio and guilia?
Lil flip???

Who told you this... The Hornet was needed because Dodge needed a small vehicle. Otherwise I see no evidence of what you're saying
