- While stopping in Revelstoke, BC I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out the Pipe Coaster at the Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
Good times and a good fast ride worth checking out.

Good Video. Not every video needs a soundtrack though. Sounded like a Rave party in the mountains. Would have been nice to just hear the sound of the coaster.
Yep...so many videos needlessly ruined by crap music.
Agreed. As soon as the bad music came on, I just turned it off. Far better experience.
The "mute button" shall be your salvation. But you are spot-on! I start every video (like this) with mute-ON. I ain't taking no chances :O)
Agree
Yeah, the music completely ruined it. 😔☹
Now this looks like a ride that's actually well worth your time. Unlike those other ones that lasts only like 30 seconds and it's already over.
I did it when I was 67 yrs old. I was told it could be done without using the brake...so I didn't. Pretty wild ride but you don't need the brake. Worth the money
Exactly. I didn't use the brake either and since it wasn't busy, the staff was nice enough to clear the track for me so that nobody slowed me down.
Same for me on Copper Mountain's coaster. By the time you're in the sections where slower speed might be advisable, braking doesn't seem like the best idea.
It would have to be rideable at full unbraked speed or would be a liability disaster.
ya? well I'm 65 and I would be on that brake most of the time til my knuckles were white
@@gertnood safe without braking? This kind of thing would never have flown at tr-Action Park...
Bravo to the operator of this ride
A big hell yah! On my bucket list for sure
Looks fun and scary!
Nice. I’ll have to check it out. Liked the Music too!
That looked like soooo much fun 😄
Yes, it really was and worth the one hour wait.
Pretty fast for a Mountain Coaster, thrill of a ride.
Oh gosh, looks like great fun!
It sure was!
That "death grip" he has on that stick... says everything! Talk about "over driving" your headlights. I doubt that thing could stop fast enough when Yogi bear is on the track. But, that's the whole FUN of it, right? :O)
New meaning of full throttle!
Rode something like this up in New Hampshire in the late seventy's . totally loved it lol to bad i live in Texas now cause i would go again in a second .
Kudos for not braking through the entire course.
Oh, yes please!
That's the first coaster ive seen like that and one that id most likely ride.
Looks like it would be a fun night ride if it was limited to one person going down at a time.
If it's not to busy, you can ask them to clear the track for you.
I want to try this, but I don't want slow drivers stopping me halfway down, as I've seen in a few videos.
Before you start, ask them to clear the track. I didn't know that was an option but the attendant took one look at me and just knew that I wanted a speed run so he offered to clear the track for me and I replied "Oh hell yes. Thanks!" It wasn't busy that day so it was an option.
I was on a coaster when the person in front stopped so I had to stop. I yelled at the guy in front but he ignored me. I was terrified that the next person coming round the corner at speed would crash into me!
@@janettesinclair6279 ugh, same thing happened to me. The people in front were on a sightseeing tour rather than a ride. I was screaming at them to move. I was fuming at the end of the ride. The attendant who helps you jump off at the end knew what happened and gave me a free ride. Said it happens often that people ruin the ride for others.
Be an early riser and be the first to ride in the morning.
But be prepared that if you need the brake, the track might still be damp from dew and it doesn't work as well as you'd expect...
Cool
I would love to.
IM GAME! PWG
What's to prevent colliding with someone riding their brake ahead of you?
Good question...I have no idea.
Cool video. Next time no music please!
Grizzly bear sat waiting for dinner.
My question is how do they get the carts back up to the top?
They get loaded into the condola used for skiers in the winter time. That's how people get up also.
I bet it sucks walking all the way back up to the top. LOL
They have ski lift gondolas to get to the top. Thats how they get the sleds back up also.
Anyone know where this is ☺️☺️
Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada
Great stuff thank you 😊
Seems slower compared to the one in Austria
Yiu have to be brave to sit through this really annoying music.
Actually looks kinda scary.
Anybody ever hit a deer or other wildlife?
Americans we would die. You hold onto this braking device the whole time.
Depends on what kind of American you are talking about. This looks a lot safer than half the stuff I did as a kid. Ever use cardboard to slide down a hill
not fast enough
Silly music
I got better things top do lol
not impressed, not even slightly.
Music sucks.
Looks wild and fun If i was Lot younger Yeah I would try it
I'm game.
So slowwwwww
