Not saying it matters what I was expecting was to see a real Roller Coaster through the mountains imagine that. I have always wanted to see one that would be the ultimate thrill one that goes out on the edge of the mountain and down imagine that. Not that I would go on it. Just always had this idea since I was a kid to build one on a mountain and through a mountain.

However, I REALLY loved the views and atmosphere in the Scottish highlands and have found nothing which compares. Have you driven up - or down - the Cattle Pass and also to Kinlochewe? Stunning views, as are those in Norway, especially around Geirangerfjord.

Absolutely breathtaking! That lake is incredibly beautiful, I never saw anything like it! I myself couldn’t ride the tram as I’m terrified of heights. When I was little the Ferris wheel I was riding stopped and I was at the top. It began falling apart and fireman had to carry us down. Thank you for sharing this wonderful video with us! ❤️
I was expecting an actual roller coaster. That is more like a tram. Just hate to see what happens if the brakes gave out on that. But the view is awesome and the lake is really nice too.

Absolutely fantastic! This is an inclined railway, or funicular, built in 1926 to facilitate transporting building materials to & from the construction of the Gelmersee Reservoir. It uses a cable to ascend and descend, run by an electric motor. Opened to the public in 2001. The oldest, The Reisszug at Hohensalzburg Castle at Salzburg, Austria, still operates & dates from 1495 or 1504! Accurate date unknown. To end the tired argument below, from a wooden roller coaster hobbyist & historian (me); Inclined Railways, or Funiculars, do not coast, therefore they are not roller coasters by technical definition.
So beautiful. It’s hard to believe all this came from earth quakes and the lakes from melted snow on glaciers. Too beautiful to image of not seen with my own eyes.
This video is simply spectacular. Such magnificent scenery that only Switzerland can provide. In addition the entire railway is an engineering marvel. But there again, it is Switzerland after all. Great effort. Thank you.

I think they misunderstood the concept of what a rollercoaster is actually supposed to do. That is just a little tourist train. Taking people up-and-down a mountain, not a roller coaster. Very, very beautiful scenery, thank you.

When I was just 5yrs old, I fell off a 18-20 ft cliff. Suffered a mild concussion and that was it. But needless to say I developed an intense fear of heigth8. Even though while sitting in bed and feeling like I'm falling off the bed,dizzy, whole 9yards...IT'S BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful. My favourite Swiss funicular is the Neisenbahn which takes you to the top of Mt Neisen in the Bernese Oberland. The view from the top, well it’s the most amazing view I’ve ever seen. I didn’t want to come down. Any plans to do that one with your camera?

THere can not be a more scenic location of any coaster in the world. Just, "WOW!" Well, definitely not a "Coaster", but a full-on E-Ticket ride in any case.
The “scenic railway” in the Blue Mountains 100kms west of Sydney, Australia is even steeper I believe. It is well worth checking out on you tube. Cheers from Oz

I have ridden a funicular at the Blue Mountains in Australia. I also rode the cog railway to see the Matterhorn in Switzerland. It is a very clean country and in the Autumn, the sun sets early!
You can call it a roller coaster all you want, but it’s not, it’s a tram. You’ll have to go to the United States to find real roller coasters. Aside from that, what a view!

@@j.jmcquade5278 It's not a roller coaster anyway, and even though I've ridden a big amount of coasters in my life I can't really think of one being worse then this thing right away, I prefer the views in the neighberhood but that doesn't say this gives a good ride experience
I have ridden a funicular at the Blue Mountains in Australia. I also rode the cog railway to see the Matterhorn in Switzerland. It is a very clean country and in the Autumn, the sun sets early!
