I’ve done heavy equipment work for years. I’d get the dozer to grub all those trees off the pond dam. Use the excavator for processing the trees, stumps into burn pile/saw log/firewood/chipper or whatever. The dozer is the proper machine for clearing away trees and can run circles around an excavator speed wise.

Have you tried Roots & Refuge? Jess is my favorite Female youtuber ( this week) lol She can milk a cow faster than anyone I've watched. She teaches how to make butter, cheese, sourdough bread etc. She teaches how to grow & preserve food from planting to composting. Her flowers are lovely & interesting. Jess & Miah have 4 sons. They are people of faith.

That shed looks like it was made out of SIP panels (structural insulated panels) These consist of two outer layers, held together by the adhesive strength of the inner insulation. The outer layers are usually plywood, but I guess they chose something like aluminum sheets for this application. The good thing is, these don't rust or rot, Don't know if these are structurally sound enough to do a major remodeling of the inside.

Just an old man's thoughts here, but if it were me doing that pond job, when it came time to dig out the silt from the bottom, I would save it for a rock free garden!

That shed appears to be made from the same material that a company called Incredible Tiny Homes uses for their ESP homes. The panels are the cutouts from metal doors that have glass inserts, Such as French Doors and Full View Doors.
I really look forward to how you finish out the cabin. I had so much fun planning and seeing my idea come to life. It might have taken a year but I think it was worth the wait. I think you'll be glad for all that foam insulation for keeping it cool on those hot summer days and nights. I took your idea when you insulated your shop and did my own research and had my pressure treated floor underneath the shed insulated and then set it on a concrete slab. That way the foam insulation forms a 100% moisture barrier from underneath the building. Then I had the interior walls and ceiling spray foam insulation. This made my whole building safe from any shingle leaks over time. Water can never get through the moisture barrier to my interior walls and ceiling.😃🐴

Your cabin is looking so much better! Any thought to putting in a patio door to a deck? It would be so nice to have that view all the time and to sit outside on the deck in evenings. It would give you a lot of natural light too. Maybe a sky light?
Lots of places build sheds out of the same material that metal doors are made of. Two pieces of metal with 1-2” of high density foam sandwiched in between. Looks like that is what your shed is made from.

Love your new property! I think your cabin is a Davis Building. They are built out of thermatrue panels. We bought one last year for a she-shed in Stigler, Ok. We had windows put in on every wall. Looks like lots of memories will be made at the new place! God bless yall.

That little wet spot in your pond you might have a natural spring down there, possibly if you drove a pipe down in there, you might break it free again and it would start feeling back up. ! Get someone with a divining rod and have them check it out. ! Just a Thought !

Freebie is growing, filling out nicely. Fallon is healing nicely. Every animal is growing up, which is what y’all want… healthy group. The new property is looking great now with some clearing done and now making improvements on the cabin. It’s a busy time now n thru the summer months.
Hope all those trees on the dam don't create leaks from the roots of those trees. It could get expensive to seal it. May have to core the dam and seal with good clay or they make some sealer for pond dams that you broadcast over the pond dam area and it expands and seals all the cracks and crevices. I seen Hometown Acres use it on his big pond dam and it worked for him.

The dirt on the dam is good to spread on area of hard ground and low productivity .

These are the same kind of panels walk-in coolers and freezers are made of.

You can reduce duck water mess by cutting a hole in a 5 gal bucket. Big enough for heads at a level ducks can reach
