Amy Lee’s voice is only gotten better since 2000, more emotion, more passion, more depth. Evanescence and Linkin Park kept me going through all the bad time in high school
I couldn't agree more even if I wanted to. And this song is one of the living proofs of it. I feel this is an underrated anthem for us the left out, the voiceless, the ones being bullied, the ones being killed, the ones being molested… such a powerful message! 💗💗💗💗💗

Auto tune doesn't make a voice better it doesn't mean they don't have talent. It's a program that allows you to rearrange snipbits of audio to correct it's pitch, and it's not called autotune it's called Pitch Correction. Nothing is wrong with using it, because almost every artist has used it at some point in their career to help with recording. Why re-record an entire song when you can just adjust a singular flat note? Though I will say this performance doesn't have any pitch correction.

I became a fan of Evanescence when I was 9 years old. That was 18 years ago. My music tastes have evolved a lot since then but this still gives me goosebumps. Amy Lee's voice is a gift to us all ❤️

After Watching This , I now realize that Jen is gone. It wasn't her choice rather I think it was the band's choice. I respect Evenscence's decision but in a way I am heart broken that they let go of someone talented with back up vocals and guitarist, and bass skills. Thank you Jen for your hard work and dedication. We will miss you and please know that you've made an impact on the Evanscence community.
Apparently rumour has it she released private info about the band on the internet. She gave away who got infected with covid back in December which forced the band to postpone the end leg of their tour. Also, she gave away the whereabouts of the band, which put them in danger. The fanbase shared screenshots of an Instagram chat group proving it, but it’s yet to be confirmed by the band. The band itself have stated they won’t speak of it to protect every party’s intimacy. Maybe we’ll never know the truth of it, and I wish Jen the best, but this feels shady. Amy felt so in sync with Jen, so something must have happened for the to lose trust in Jen. Anyhow, I must say Emma s vocals fit Amy way better if I’m being honest.
I think Jen’s backing vocals add a layer of depth and compliment Amy’s voice in such a perfect way. This band has really found its stride and has never sounded better.

I'm so proud of how far Evanescence have come. It must have been a tough journey on more than one occassion (both business and privacy-wise), but Amy pulled through and not only has she found a perfect squad (I think this might be my favorite squad, evanescence now genuinely feels like a BAND), but she's basically living a second youth, successful and using her voice for the greater good. And her voice ages like fine wine, it just gets better. Loving this performance!!

When I first read that this song was going to (also) have a political meaning, I was worried I would hate it. But it's actually terrific, the lyrics are very empowering and I really love the message! The vocals are also among Amy's best. When she sings "Don't you speak for me!", WOW! Totally kicks my ass. I prefer this version to the recording on the album, sounds much better. And it's always nice to see musicians play their instruments.

I'm so proud of how far Evanescence have come. It must have been a tough journey on more than one occassion (both business and privacy-wise), but Amy pulled through and not only has she found a perfect squad (I think this might be my favorite squad, evanescence now genuinely feels like a BAND), but she's basically living a second youth, successful and using her voice for the greater good. And her voice ages like fine wine, it just gets better. Loving this performance!!

When I first read that this song was going to (also) have a political meaning, I was worried I would hate it. But it's actually terrific, the lyrics are very empowering and I really love the message! The vocals are also among Amy's best. When she sings "Don't you speak for me!", WOW! Totally kicks my ass. I prefer this version to the recording on the album, sounds much better. And it's always nice to see musicians play their instruments.
