I'm so happy you did this spoiler video. It's nice to see all the inks you will get before buying it. Thanks for sharing! (P.S. Your nail color is awesome!)
These videos are so helpful! I usually dont buy the full inkvent, and instead just pick a few colors i like and try to buy them secondhand or on pen_swap. This year I'll definitely be after salted caramel, that one is very pretty!
I do, I do! Want spoilers. I did not buy it this year, so thanks! Audrey. I agree with all the colors as you described them. Some of those sheening, wow!! And you are right on the last day, My 2023 Raise A Glass did not describe what it is. The last one looks like an Olive color to me. All of them are not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but Diamine tries, I like that.
I know some people dont like Inkvent bc of the shimmers and this year ppl wont like it bc of the sheen. I think it caters more to adventurous ink users and it makes sense for Diamine to share the variety it has to offer. That being said i havent gotten one. Maybe I'm not that adventurous 😅
Thanks for this. I seem to remember swatching a number of these in previous years. I too am new along the journey, so I am still preferring standards. Truphae is a great store!
I saw this video come up earlier and had to wait until I could pay close attention and make my list of want-to-try inks as Audrey shows off the swatches. And here we go! That Baltic Breeze looks a lot like Coloverse Mystic Mountain, I think. It’s very pretty. I guess Marley goes with (last year’s?) Scrooge ink. Perhaps 2025 will bring a Bob Cratchit or Tiny Tim. If the Grotto sticks to the A-B Letter Opener, I wonder if it will be hard to get flowing in a pen. I hope Mike will try inking something with it. There are fewer inks that tempt me this year than in previous years; most of the ones I find appealing are very similar to inks I have already. But I do enjoy seeing all the inks and listening to you, Audrey, and I don’t find the video feels long at all. The categories at the end are really interesting. That ink log thing-y that Mike uses should have a way to chart and compare the various Inkvent combinations. Inkvent spoilers is a great tradition and I like seeing the comparisons between your swatches and Mike’s. I know this video is a lot of work and I appreciate your time, your narration, your charm, and your warmth. Thank you, Audrey! P.S. How hard was it to get each bottle back in its proper place?
I have done the inkvents in the same Oversize Col-o-ring, but I've never really kept stats on how many of each type there are. I could definitely go back and do that, though...
The Potpourri might be my favorite. I love that type of color. Also Lullaby. I'm not super into sheen but i do like when they do more original things than the blue/red sheens
Audrey, gateau is a rich, buttery cake. Remember the character Carmelita Spats in "A Series of Unfortunate Events?" She called others "cake sniffers". Note that lots of initials in the series were CS. Thanks for the spoilers.
Thanks so much for the spoiler Audrey. You’ve saved me $120! Too many inks seem to be too light for fountain pens and 1/3 of the colors are uninspiring. I enjoyed your video and commentary. Your hands are much prettier than Mikes! 😊 No offense Mike I adore your style
Thanks, Audrey! It's always fun to see these, although I don't prefer shinmer inks s🎉o it's not a worthwhile purchase for me. Vanness did a limited run of an ink called Cranberry Sauce a year or two ago that was spot on..I was excited about the Inkvent cranberry color but I'm not sure it's quite what I envision.
I don't get it, no one seems to know about forest gateau? Maybe it's a European cake only, to me it's a clear reference to Black Forest cake, which is a tiered chocolate cake with whipped cream, soaked in cherry alcohol and with preserved cherries in between layers. It is absolutely delicious, definitely a Christmas treat and obviously smells of cherries.
Thank you! Just wish the swatches would be done with a regular fountain pen - the dip pen/glass pen swatches are always quite misleading because they are so much more saturated rendering this a bit useless. Do you think you'd plan to do fountain pen swatches in a broader nib than this (maybe M nib) later?
These glass dip pens are actually pretty darn fountain pen like. I'll often do reviews for some of the inks later on, but I don't see myself filling and cleaning 25 more pens right now. 😬😵💫 In any case, that would only give you an idea what the ink looks like from that one nib. The swatches give a good idea of what the ink can look like at different densities, so if you have finer/drier nibs then look to the lighter areas of the swatch. If you have wetter/broader nibs, then look to the denser areas to get an idea how the inks will look.
Yeah, there’s no way I was gonna ink 25 pens for this (and I seriously doubt you will find another creator doing that). To say it “rendered this a bit useless” is a bit of a slap in the face, honestly. I used different dip nib types depending on what was needed to show the ink properly.
Marley was Scrooge's ex business partner that came to him as a ghost. Played by Statler and Waldorf in the Muppets Christmas Carol

Love that Grotto Color ❤
Oh I didn't expect that black with green sheen for the last ink! That's gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰
Marley is the ghost from "A Christmas Carol" 😀
Marley is the name of Scrooge’s business partner who comes to warn him about his ways and the ghosts who will visit him
@Quinkerbell_3604 yup...and he had died before the story begins, so he's visiting as a ghost, himself. ☺️
Thank you, Audrey. I always enjoy the sneak peek of the Diamine Calendar. Lovely colours this year. Looking forward to Mike's opinion on it.

Thanks so much Audrey! You did such a great job! (plus! Those beautiful hands, those gorgeous nails!)
I love to be spoiled! Thanks Aud, you did a great job and the “Aud-io” was excellent quality.

@ Because you have nothing else to do …
Maybe a summer project?
Thank you!! 🎉 Will be curious to see if you’ll do the Colorvent too. :3
I'm editing that one right now!
@@inkdependence ommmgg!! 😭
Thank you!! 🎉

No offense taken!

Good Tidings for the win!
Cute thumbnail!
Thanks! We worked on that one together. :-D

Hey they look like colorverse inks and FWP shimmers all at the cheaper Diamine price
Girl, you know it's called the Black Edition for a reason right ? That's because the last ink is black.

Lord, please deliver us from shimmer, but if not forthcoming, at least banish silver particles of annoyance. 😎😁
