I've been feeling uninspired as of late. Since I love to draw and read, I looked at your Vlog. When I saw you holding "The Full Moon Coffee Shop", I could not resist checking it out on Amazon. I'll be reading it this weekend. Thank you! 💜💜💜
I loved your video, I work very close to Covent Garden, and often frequent all the stores you featured here. As an artist myself, I’m always inspired whether I’m browsing or going to make a purchase. I love the water boat book shop, certainly will visit at some point. Thank you for sharing. 😊
Thank you for the kind words! Oh, that's interesting, it must be really exciting to have such gems so close to your workspace, you can get inspiration for future projects any time! ☺️Definetely check it out, it is so cosy and inspiring this bookshop!
Wow, that first art store is huge! I'd spend so much time there and I'd be tempted to spend too much money XD . The second one feels more like the art stores near me (well, the independent ones anyway. I see what you mean how it kind of transports you back in time. Ooo the stationary shop does look neat. I can see freelancers using their supplies. The Phantom of the Opera! Never saw the musical, but love the main theme! I highly suggest the Nightwish and Lindsey Stirling versions of the song (Medley version for Lindsey), along with the original version with Sarah Brightman & Steve Harley. The bookstore on a boat is a very unique idea. I definitely like the Malcolm X quote which is very true. I like the sketches in between, it's a nice transition :) . Lol, How to train your Human XD. . Nice art and book supplies. I especially like the sketchbook, folding cup, and portrait book. Yes! Please do some water color portraits based off people in that book, I'd love to see it :D ! I only have 1 independent art store near me, but it has decent amount of supplies. Wish I had the time and money to go there more often ^^; . Thanks for sharing :D !
Oh, yes, it was so well packed too 😄! Trust me, it was so hard not to spend all my money there! That's interesting, I really like the vibe of the old looking ones! About the Phantom, I have watched the 2004 film version and I liked it but seeing it on stage was really magical! Now I will search for these versions definetely! I've listened to Sarah Brightman's version! I did my research for quirky bookshops before visiting London :D Challenge accepted, I will definetely make some portraits from the book! I will test my theory about avoiding the screen having actual physical copy of the reference :D As always, THANK YOU for the support, it really means a lot to me! :)
@@CatwellArt I've also seen the 2004 film, but still would like to see the stage version one day. I hope you enjoy them :) . Classic :D ! Lol your videos will basically be the basis of a list of places to go for art and relaxation :) . Yay, I can't wait to see :D !!! You are most welcome and you will continue to have it ^_^.
Thank you for sharing with others the insight of London art and books scene Last, I would like to say your artwork is beautiful! What type of watercolors and pastel do you use?
I am happy that you enjoyed the video! 😊Thank you so much! 🙏 The watercolours are Windsor and Newton professional and the pastels that I bought - Conte a Paris carres. I haven't tried them properly yet😅

I really enjoyed this vlog. And enjoyed your paintings! Is there anything better than books and art? I enjoy buying children’s books for their beautiful illustrations.

Thank you so much for doing this tour, and finding these amazing places! Can I ask, what brand and size paint brushes are the first two you use for your pigeon study?
For me it was really wonderful, emotional experience!!! Yes, of course, these are round Princeton Neptune brushes, size 4 and 12. They were advertised as "really thirsty brushes" 😄 and I have to say they fit the description! Thank you for the support! :)
Last time I went to London I discovered a large bookshop which also had its own art supplies store but I can't remember what it was called or where it was.
