- Anytime your grill shuts off with an error or loses power and is not able to shut down properly check the burn pot before restarting. The errors are there for a reason.
When you try to restart your grill with a pot that has residual fuel the air flow is restricted therefore it can’t breathe properly, it's like throwing a huge pile of leaves on fire. It will smoke like crazy. Smoke has gases in it. Once the pellets do ignite all these gas will ignite. Just like leaving the gas on your grill too long with the lid shut as your trying to get the igniter to ignite. As the gas builds when the electronic igniter does ignite you can get a small explosion. Opening a lid on any grill propane, pellet or otherwise during startup is a good and safe practice.
Thanks you may just be a life saver. I did not know why the lid needed to be open at startup. I just did it because it said to do it. Sometimes I need to shut it off if I am in a hurry. From now on I will check the pot before using the grill. Thanks again.
Great video. I heard about this and people talking crap about Traeger. Great to know exactly what happened.
Traeger manual specifically says to start the grill in the "Smoke" position with the lid open until the grill is lit then close the lid and set your temp as needed.
@@davehart7943 ours backdrafted when we bumped it from smoke to cook and kept the lid open
It also says if you get the LEr ‘Low Error’ to turn off and unplug the grill until you clean out the burn pot and get it ready for initial startup again.
Treager can flame out and leave a very small amount of pellets barely smoldering. It will try to keep adding pellets to burn to raise the temp to the current setting. But sometimes that doesn’t happen. You get a burn pot that is spilling over with fresh pellets.
This will give the LEr error.
Absolute worst thing to do at this point is to simply go through normal startup. This will heat up the hot rod underneath an overfull burn pot. The pellets will start to smolder, as usual, but when they flame over, there is that huge excess of pellets that lights and the convection fan works like a blast furnace on this pellet pile. You will get a huge amount of dirty gray smoke just before they flame over.
When the full burn pot lights, the fumes that have built up under the cover will flash over and cause an explosion that will ‘at least’ bang the cover open an slam shut. The grill will also reach temps over 750F. Not built for that.
Any time a pellet grill gets a Low Error, first thing to do is turn it off and unplug it so the hot rod and fan absolutely can not come on.
The burn pot must then be cleared.
Most people dont sit down and read their manual first to last page. I know mine did emphasize that, but maybe there should be a fail-safe? Because theres many people who dont have much common sense.
@@thatjokerperson7062 you are full of it, or really am dumb.
@@BOBcrazyguitarguy BS ! You didn’t read the manual. It was provided to you and saying people don’t read manuals is the stupidest excuse ever!!!
Treager says leave the lid open till grill egnites, one’d one for 7 yrs. over smoked several times... lid open
What's the link I can buy this exact style grill at?
sdwarrenwarren the one in the video is from Grilla Grills. It’s the Silverbac. No issues with the two I have.
Clean your smoker after 2-3 times its easy an its safe to use
no thats not gunna help, these digital pellet smokers are dumb and can be easily fooled. u need to add a pressure release valve which is few bucks and will avoid this explosion.
Bull I cleaned mine out next use it caught fire 🔥..
Clean mine after every use. Never had any issue at all.
0:22 "The grill shut off and then he______________" What, "tharted" the grill? Sounds like a bad edit to where you cut part of what you were saying off. Very important information that you completely cut out.
My grill is cleaned Everytime I use it with new foil trays
When I bought my Traeger I told the guy the way I thought it was to be ran and he told me " thats how you blow up" lol
Wood gas is pretty amazing stuff and is released during the charcoal process so i can see how you could have a dangerous built up that would cause an explosive situation. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and insight.
This is why I always make sure to complete the shut down cycle and I ALWAYS clean out my burn pot after every cook. With a shop vac and a brush. Not only does it help avoid explosions but it keeps the grill running clean and smoothly.
My camp chef says to leave the lid open during start up
Thanks for sharing John. I avoided the same situation with my Silverback when I had a flame out. I cleared out the excess pellets... and began startup again. Take the time to read the manual... never assume there’s nothing wrong 👏🏼👏🏼🤙🏼
That just happened to me and I don't know what the hell I was thiking. It over flowed with pellets. 🤦♂️
The camp chef grills have a special restart mode just in case you lose power or had a flame out.
That seems like a common-sense feature it'd be nice for more of them to have.
How evenly do those Camp Chef Pellet Grills cook? I love all their features including the big square back section. My Pit Boss Classic 700 is (Noticibly) hotter in the LR and cooler in the RF sections. It’s still way better than any gas grill, is that normal?
@@catlady8324 it's about the same. When I smoke meat I always put it the furthest away from the fire pot. Mine has 2 heat zones. One for grilling and one for low and slow.
Traeger instructions says to turn the grill on with lid open until you see the temperature is above 125 degrees before you close the lid. After you get the grill up to 125 degrees then you can close the lid and then raise the temperature up to the desired cooking temperature. There is reasons why the unit comes with instructions.
Low oxygen, incomplete combustion, creates wood gas.... hydrogen and methane amongst other gases. Reintroduce oxygen and boom! Can and has happened in vertical propane smokers too!
Ok thank you bill nye
Backdraft
I was thinking powder combustion...like a grain bin in the Midwest...I hope they figure it out. I just clean mine every other use & nothing goes boom👍
Thats what I was thinking too.. wood doesn't explode, wood gas.. Yup! now you've got something!
I’ve been using charcoal for 50 years, never had an explosion, I’ve had plenty of time to drink cold beer while grilling though….
Well every time mine fails to fully ignite or I lose power, I immediately restart it without doing anything...so I guess I am fucked sooner or later. I wonder what exploded chicken tastes like.
Well basically it gets blasted with fire at high temp. I had a less dramatic version of this happen but the food was OK.
Traeger should install a delay feature that delays the auger from turning for a full minute while the fan ventilates the bbq.
They can't try to design around every stupid thing a person could do.
no thats not gunna help, these digital pellet smokers are dumb and can be easily fooled. they need to add a pressure release valve which is few bucks and will avoid this explosion.
@@ShopperPlug pressure wasn’t the cause here. I’m retired career fireman. You’ve heard of backdraft from the movie? Well, this isn’t a backdraft. What it is is another dangerous phenomenon that firefighters face on most every structure fire.
It’s called flashover. Smoke, although it’s the byproduct of fire consuming something that will burn, is full of combustible gasses that can still ignite.
If you contain all that superheated smoke in a box, like a room or in this case a bbq, and then you get it hot enough it will ignite rapidly mimicking a small explosion.
That traeger flashed over and it had nowhere to go when it lit off.
For it to have been a backdraft, which is an oxygen starved environment, it would have exploded like this when he opened the door. This exploded when all that trapped smoke was heated again from the pile of pellets igniting.
Your pop off pressure release idea sounds good in theory but it blew the lid completely off. That would have to be one hell of a pop off valve to relive that much pressure in a flash.
If he turned it back on, and the traeger had a simple delay added into the circuit to run the convection fan for a minute or so before it began to heat the pot and start the auger, that smoke could have been ventilated-no explosion.
Firefighters ventilate every structure fire to get rid of heat and smoke, preventing flashover.
@@herbiesnerd You're right, I actually never knew the exact science of wood smoke being flammable which can ignite and explode. It is somewhat a user error and a pop out safety release value doesn't seem it can help. I think the best thing that could be done is that the company adds a metallic lid attached to a solenoid which can cover the fire pit depriving it from oxygen due to electronic error or power outage. This will stop more smoke to be produced and will require user to investigate and reset the smoker. On top of that the company should also add a mini powerful fan blower which can exhaust out all the smoke in the chamber within 10 - 20 seconds which is connected to a sperate battery. There can be sensors implemented inside the chamber to see the levels of carbon monoxide too.
@@ShopperPlug I'm thinking the best thing the company should add is a set of instructions (in multiple languages) explaining how to use the appliance properly...
If I stopped to clean out my traeger every time it malfunctions, it would take a week to smoke a butt. And four bags of pellets. My traeger is now a dust collector in the garage.
Poor engineering design. It should not explode just because the user does not follow correct error recovery procedure.
Happened to me. Luckily didn’t damage the grill but did scare the crap out of me. Learned quickly of what to do the next time that happens. Great breakdown
Gas grills suck. Man up. Charcoal the mans way
Wood is the way to go! LOL!
except that its not a gas grill, it's a wood pellet grill
I know. Jus saying. Use the real stuff
@@stevefahrmann9991 yeah but it is real.
@@stevefahrmann9991 lol, well in that case the real stuff would be wood. which I use.
Im here cause I blew my smoker up. I literally did exactly what he said not to do. Great video. Now I know
@Schmelly G. I have a real smoker as well. But i have 4 toddlers and this is safer to use when they are home and i dont have to take my attention off them to man the smoker.
I LOVE my Traeger, however this happened to my nephew, I learned the warning signs and when I have to restart it, I watch for excessive smoke and open the lid until the heavy smoke dissipates. Knowledge is king. Great video!
This shit is going to happen. I'm probably drunk 80% of the time when I'm grilling
This guy probably would've been ok if he had just opened the lid before starting it up and left it open until it started burning.... my pit boss pro series is plugged into a switched plug and of course ive accidentally hit the switch and shut it off mid burn so before turning it on i just checked the amount of pellets in the fire pot and left the lid open on start up like usual and back in business... idk about trager but pit boss specifically instructs u to keep the lid open during the start up process
Love my Camp Chef, all I have to do is pull a knob to empty the unburned pellets or ash into the dump cup and empty it!
All grill should have that option. Maybe I'll try to find a way to modify mine.
Brand new to pellet grills, and just got my first one this weekend, a camp chef woodwind. I was really struggling with learning how to get the thing turned on properly (turn the dial, click the dial, it's not super intuitive, at least not for me.) I really wish they'd had better instructions in the manual. It was all an explanation of what each setting does, but not "Step 1: set the temp." I feel like an idiot, but if you've never used one... But anyway, after several youtube videos, which also don't really clearly explain step by step, I finally had it going through the startup. The problem was, all my failed attempts had a bunch built up in there and I wish I had a video of myself ducking and covering when I heard the BANG. I got super lucky that it was very minor. No grill damage or people damage. Sure was a learning experience though! I wish I'd seen this video yesterday. I understand personal responsibility, and this was totally on me, but Camp Chef needs to do better with their instruction manual, too. But, here I still am, and excited to keep learning!
Sorry but Camp Chef puts very concise directions in the manual . And the customer service is top notch. If for any reason you are not able to use the smoker properly is YOUR fault not Camp Chefs. You’d have to have a pretty low IQ to not understand the directions.
Thanks John... Great informative video! All should take a look see at this video. Very interesting and always safety first!
I'm a purest, my BBQ smoker doesn't need electricity... just wood, meat, time, patience and ice cold beer..
Call u crazy
I spent 50+ years using a stick burner, but now I live in a condo complex that prohibits gas, charcoal or wood burning grills due to the fire hazard. So having a Traeger allows me to still grill and smoke meat and other things. I'm a purest, too, but circumstances made me have to change....
Jeanette Armstrong do they not realize that pellets are made of wood? Dancing through a loophole of ignorance eh haha
Do u still have a horse drawn carriage and use a buggy whip?
8 and Sk8 it the buggy and whip worked better, I would use it. Pellet grills aren’t better, fact.
This video saved me! Thanks so much. I have a grilla grill and it's exploded no less than 4 times. I never thought to take it apart and look inside. My fire pot was FILLED with old soot and pellets. Thanks again
Had this exact thing happen on my Rec Tec. The only difference was mine had a flame out, I noticed the temp dropped while swimming in the pool. It was bellowing out yellow smoke so I opened the lid and BOOM! Pissed me right off
Never allow your Rec Tec to swim in your pool, ever.
I like that you took the time to edit this and keep it flowing with examples. I made this same mistake when I first got my grill. Had it go out during a long cook and I tried to restart without checking it. My grill was full of pellets so of course I got a big fire and a lot of smoke. Thankfully I was able to get it shut off and extinguished before it got out of hand, but I learned my lesson to always check after an error or unclean shutdown.
Mark Phippard thanks. Making videos is a lot harder than I thought it would be. Going to keep working on it.
Had that happen too during burn I ....I pooped a little .
Any grill that needs a power cord needs soy milk in the fridge next to it........
You must never have had food cooked on one
Ha ha! I've grilled religiously on charcoal for 25 years and bought a Traeger last summer so I could use it as a smoker. Within a few days I was using it for EVERYTHING I could and my charcoal grille hasn't been used since! I grill bacon on mine all the time! These things are awesome!
charcoal is good for steaks. thats it
Best comment ever. I keep telling my buddy this because I'm an offset guy and he uses a Treager. I just bought a Rectec and love it so I have eat crow now. Still a hilarious comment
@Shaun Torpey beta comment
99.9 pellet smoker problems are caused by the user and lack of maintenance.
You must work for a pellet smoker company
WRONG.
Thank God. You have all these mouth breathing, brain dead idiots on here acting like its the grills fault. It is actually incredible.
I have not seen any of these with a multispeed auger. The augers run on timed intervals via the temp and logic in the board.
When you buy a grill w a cord make sure it matches your purse
I just use mesquite wood for fajitas or oak for brisket. My grill was given to me by my moms husband, its very durable, heavy duty, and easy use. Anyways, i wrote that, just to say Treviño all day bby
I have operated boilers for over 40 years. If there is a chance of this happening the control logic should include a pre purge sequence just as essential as a post purge sequence. Yes the user should and could be better informed. It would not take much at all to program a pre purge in these units.
All I got from this video was a pellet grill is convenient but dangerous.
Then you didn't watch the video. Lol. Pellet grills aren't dangerous if you don't do dumbass shit like ignore error messages, or don't keep it cleaned out properly. Everything in this world is dangerous for the proverbial dumbass.
I was kidding I heard where the guy made mistakes. I'm working with an electric smoker I purchased a long time ago. It is not as convenient as a pellet grill but it gets the job done.
Interesting this just happened to come up this morning after I had a fire yesterday. This is the third time my Traeger has caught fire. It was due to trying to run it on high, without having changed my foil, and having a decent collection of grease and gunk. So user error on my part too.
This just happened with my GM grill. Thank you for this video. I will always check the pot before restarting from now on. The grill had shut down for some reason, I was not sure why. So I restarted. Won't do that again.
Backdraft!!!!!
Glad I use a weber and offset to smoke
You are glad, clearly you don't know how well pellet units work. I'm not a fad type person, and I've always used coal. I'm not fond of gas grills. There isn't enough flavor for me.... Anyhow, I used a buddy's pellet cook some burgers on, and was hooked. They are more consistent and better tasting then coal on everything I've cooked. Not sure why anyone was start a wood fire (of any type) with a closed lid, not allowing as much air as possible.
Happened to me once with 20lbs of pork on the grill. ( i knew about the possibility) I really like the camp chef idea of auto re-light if you get a flame out during cooking. At least the videos i've seen they seem to have it.
That traeger looked like it had never been cleaned either. It was caked with grease. No wonder it lit up
Avoid this from ever happening, just use a charcoal grill.
I concur!
People can be stupid with charcoal too. It's not the grill.
@@wash-and-go true statement, but my Weber Kettle has never thrown error codes
I'll pass on an 18 hour brisket smoke on your Weber kettle.
Did you ever consider some people own both.
America! You're free to choose all grills!!!
I had my Z grill running over temp and throwing error codes. Took it apart and cleaned everything. Put it back together it wouldn't come up to temp at all and kept shutting down. I just tried to use the grill and for about 10 minutes my back yard looked like a 4 alarm fire with so much smoke and eventually got the flame up blowning lid up. I let it die down took it apart and the auger had pushed enough pellets in there to fill 3 pots. I'm curious why it did this.
Additionally, my Zgrills interior looks 100% like yours did. Are the parts all made by one company?
It's not traegers fault? Lol. If the grill design needs special shutdown procedures and precautions for restart then the grill needs to be taken off the market and recalled
I've had a Traeger for years with no issues. There are special shutdowns when you build a fire during camping to make sure your fire is dead before you leave the campsite. If you don't you can cause a major forest fire. Should we stop doing those procedures because some idiot didn't or should we just sick Smokey the Bear on them? No need to remove the Traeger grills off the market because a few idiots don't follow the procedure? 95% of us do it right and have enjoyed years of use.
@@porsche944mt you're comparing apples to oranges.. We're not talking about camp fires. We're talking about gasses building up in a grill when it malfunctions. It needs a vent or something. It's a dangerous design.
Traeger's manual clearly states to drink full 6-pack during the startup. What you should always do though, is have one left in case of flameout. There. Case solved.
Tried to replicate the issue on my stick burner, couldn’t do it.
Jason Beatty actually it can happen on a stick burner or charcoal grill. Anytime your burning any fuel it can happen doesn’t matter the type of fuel.
Well...my stick burner got a stuck stanky stick stuck in int. Not only that, but the stupid stuck stanky stick also stunted my steak and that just stinks. So, to summarize, stop sticking stupid stanky sticks in your stick burner to avoid stunted stinky steaks.
Just sayin'.
This is excellent! Thank you. We just had a fire yesterday!
Another thing......wood gas is flammable. You will get a build up of smoke and wood gas, like the dude in the video had, and if it can't escape fast enough, it could ignite. I just experienced this phenomenon a couple of weeks ago. I have just a plain Jane Masterbuilt electric smoker, and when I got the initial smoke rolling, I had a REAL GOOD "pfoomph!" (I spell it like it sounds). I didn't have my top damper open enough, and the heater element was enough to ignite the trapped wood gas. Just food for thought (no pun intended).
So would he have lit his propane grill with the lid closed too. Lol
So should you clean the pellets out before restarting? I'm in the process of maybe buying one.
Yes. If it fails to ignite or flames out, turn off the smoker and clean the pellets out before restarting. And never close the lid during start up.
that's a lot of hassle for something supposed to be easy to use?
P JB not really. If you start and shut down correctly each time without just unplugging the grill than it’s fine. I’ve never had an issue and I have 4 pellet grills for 3 years.
John Bazyk understood 👍🏿
Treager has instructions under the lid of the pellet hopper, or at least mine does, that basically tells you not to do that.
That being said I'm forced by marital obligation to keep and use mine in a wind tunnel, so flame outs are not uncommon. But because of anger issues and hungry children, i have done that exact thing mysel. I have had had the door blow open with a fireball and a sound like a cohern mortar going off. However in not a COMPLETE dumbass so I didn't call the authorities and get the news involved to show off my lack of intelligence. Which is really what the video should be about.
100% MY FAULT WHEN IT HAPPENED TO ME. LUCKY MY LID DID NOT BLOW OFF AN NO ONE WAS AROUND THE GRILL WHEN SHE BLEW... BUT I HEARD IT BLOW FROM INDA HOUSE. 🤣🤣🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Weber charcaol 😆 will never happen
I just bought a Traeger Bronson 20. I did some research after I got it and became nervous hearing about all these issues. My understanding is this could happen with any smoker and a lot of the times it's user error. I also found that a lot of people want to pile on to the issue because they NEED to share their story. Even if they did the same thing the others have done. This compounds the problem, and makes it seem like the smoker itself is the issue, but it isn't. It's people doing the same things without following instructions and running into similar issues. Thank you for the clarification.
Exactly. People who aren't capable of understanding that THEY did something wrong are the bane of my existence. So many people mentally peak at an early age because they aren't able to look in the mirror and realize how to get better at things. It is always somebody or something elses fault. Never theirs.
I did the same mistake with a Pitt boss. Smoked like crazy, then exploded and scared the heck out of me. Lid flew open... put it in the shed and never used it again. I guess now that i know what happened, I have to get it out, clean it, and try it out!
You clearly show why it happened. But not how to restart it.. Am I to assume that once you have a flame out the grill is unusable ? First you remove all your half cooked food. Then let the grill cool down what for an hour or so you can shop vac out the pellets? I am looking into getting one. That seems like a deal breaker.
WHY DOES THE AUGER CONTINUE TO FEED during a shutdown??
My traeger exploded open 3 times while smoking ribs-sounded like gun shots. What would cause that? I didn't restart. Just kept going outside and finding lid open, thought there were hunters near shooting, and thought my sons, who were coming and going were leaving the lid open. Then it exploded open when someone was outside.
Knowledge is power. Clean your smoke box out and leave the lid open when you start it up. Basically, read the dam manual people. 🤦♂️
Although you are spot on saying it’s user error, look up “wood gasification “. Short story is smoldering wood with no flame produces a flammable or explosive gas. You can literally run an engine on it.
Great answer this would explain my situation because I did everything by the book watch the shutdown procedure but still got a fire in my pellet box
My Traeger began to drop in temp yesterday. Then it only put out smoke and not enough heat. I moved the ribs into the house oven. I took it apart and the fire pot was full of pellets and smoldering. The induction fan had died. I'm glad I shut it down. I'm replacing the fan, the auger motor and the firepot and fire rod. Should be much safer and a better smoker soon.
Never had that problem with charcoal
You are wrong . It happened because he had the lid closed . stoichiometric mixture was reached with wood gas . Wouldn't have happened if the lid was opened
Traeger grills have been manufactured in China since late 2008 and have lots of issues. If you’re looking to purchase a pellet grill, buy one that’s Made In the USA!
My just cleaned treager just burst into flames. No power outage or anything. Third use.
This video just came up while scrolling, I was not looking for it. Why not just use a regular smoker and wood? I never owned one , nor do I want one. I use wood and wood only.
Are they ok after small explosion. If you clean it out will they start working again????
You touched on the true point at the end. It’s not so much the extra pellets getting pushed in as it is all the smoke building from the previously burning pellets and more being added to it. When the smoker is filled with smoke and the pellets finally ignite, it’s actually the smoke that then explodes. That’s why it clears up instantly. Good video though
It's almost like you should read the manual. It flat out says start in on smoke with the lid open. Do better folks
The guy also may not have cleaned his ash tray. Ash smokes when heat applied. Treager makes good grills. Just clean your ash tray every 10 or so cooks
This could be easily prevented by the designers
Proper usage by following instructions already prevents it
@@mitchjones2821 couldn't have said it better
I will just use my webber..
Yeah stay scared 😱
Great video explaining it. My question is what do you do when you have a flame out? Just wait for those pellets to burn? Or clean the unburned pellets out?
I'll stick with charcoal with socked wood chips for smoking. BBQing should be simple, don't have time looking for error messages.
Michael L / #sobrave
I have used the charcoal loaded with chips and I gotta be honest. It's not the same
These grills are very simple. Put in pellets, select temperature, go mow the lawn. Your not going to get a flame out or error unless you run out of pellets or close the chimney off.
My buddy Chuck drives a Cummins
CG261 86 Right on. Im more of a Chevy guy. I have a 6.2L half ton and a 6L 2500.
Drives me batty that the burn pot doesn't screw out from underneath like an oil filter or just have a cleanout door.
I agree with you there are also other problems with treager being temperamental. I have experience a few hopper fires and a massive grease fire. You have to make sure the unit is level, clean and clear of debris. I for one would never leave it unattended like so many people do because when things go wrong they go really wrong fast. So have your fireproof gloves and your baking soda ready and fire up those pellets!
You put the blame on user error when in reality it's a design flaw. In case you don't know what design flaw means, it's: A design flaw is a design that fails to meet requirements or to serve customer needs. A flawed design can result in unstable and unusable products, services and environments. In many cases, they introduce unnecessary risk, damage brand reputation or result in poor product ratings and sales.
Exactly, How hard would it be during on power up, sense pot temperature. If > 150 don't add more pellets during initial startup. 20 cent microprocessor could hand that.
I have a Traeger grill I always start it with lid open and when I put in cool down mod I open the lid up to
It’s called the Chernobyl effect 💥
Excellent video and excellent explanation. People need to understand how their pellet grill works, to avoid such "high drama" events. Thanks.
Common sense is your friend.
Excellent advise, very articulate presentation. Yes follow instructions, never has happened to me and I have 4 grills. Be safe
This happened to me last year with a pitboss that I had...
So what do you do when power goes out? Clean the fire pot out before re-starting it up?
Great video. I just got my 1st pellet grill and watched alot of videos on it. The biggest complaint i have seen is the mound of pellets in the burn pot. I vacuum mine out aftet every use and put just a small amount of pellets back in as a primer.
You shouldn't add more pellets as a primer... These grills automatically feed pellets in to start it adding more could cause excess smoke and this situation could happen
Don't need a primer ever.
I had that happen to me but not as bad. it was due to a mas amount of ash build up in the burn pot.
Solution...get a low-tech R2D2 Brinkman
Great video another thing I can add is never start the grill with the lid closed once your fire pot is burning then close your lid I have had one since the first traeger never had an explosion thanks again
All the more reason to get a pellet grill with an easy ash pot cleanout.
I had the same thing happen with my Camp Chef. I had no damage and it still works fine after I cleaned things up.
That grill looks so clean!! Is it new? If not, can you make a video on the cleaning maintenance.
There is a little bit of a learning curve with pellet grills. I didn't realize it until after I purchased one. I had two days to watch videos of success and a lot of mishaps before mine arrived. I'm prepared. Nice video.
