9:25 - that TV-am joke was spot on, as TV-am knew 1992 would be their last year as the ITV breakfast franchise and so cut back on news reporting, and they did indeed fill many hours with cartoons.

This was Rory's first programme for Channel 4 - earlier in 1992 he left the BBC where he had been since 1987. Channel 4 really helped him and up until 2010 he was at his best - going more political
