The thing that worries me about this truck is it seems like a big 1/6th truck made with smaller 1/8th spare parts. 🤔

OG lasernut was basically 8th scale size and weight on 10th scale parts, this follows suit.

This is a great looking scale version (I have the 1/10 and love it) but so far the consensus is it's not for even mild bashing without stoppages. Both reviews I've watched have had dog bone issues. One simple fix was placing an O ring in the drive cup to cushion the gap movement. If you want to do huge air with an RC stick to the Traxxas, Arrma or Redcat style bashers. If you love scale, Losi still rocks, specially filming in slow mo.

@@Casitascrawlers He's driving around a gravel lot. Tiny rocks enter the car and get stuck between fast moving metal parts with extreme levels of torque going through them. Rocks will beat metal every time. I've had center driveshafts get chewed up from a rock smaller than a fingernail. These things happen. Just because something costs a lot of money doesn't mean it's impossible for it to break, particularly when running it in a high-risk environment comprised solely of things that can get into one of the dozens of spaces where metal interfaces with more metal.
He even says so in the video that it causes problems with all the cars he runs there. Look at all those rocks surrounding fast moving parts. If the full scale version of this vehicle had rocks the size of your fist filling up the engine, you betcha it's going to have problems.
But sure, it must be garbage, then.

Such a cool looking truck. Def want to get on of these!! It does seem to “land hard” in the front, sort of like a Max Slash… unexpected… and interesting failure too! 👀
This doesn’t seem like a car to do backflips and crazy bashing with either… more like a purpose built racer with what looks like a lot of realism (which is awesome IMO) but it sure didn’t look like you were beating on it too hard either 🤔
Look forward to any follow up 🔧👍🏼

I want to see this side by side size compared to a Fireteam. While not exactly alike they seem to have a few similar features. If it's as much an animal as the Fireteam it'll be a great rig. I think the breakage was a rock related fluke.
I'd love to support my local shop, just need someone to build one first. Closest one is 1.5 hours away versus free delivery ordering online. It's just not a practical option for some of us

@@Casitascrawlers * size comparison* don't just read, comprehend. They have similar body panels, cage structure, same motor, esc, transmitter, and receiver. Those are the similar features.
From the tires alone I wouldn't expect similar handling or driving experience. I just wanna know if this is closer in size to my Fireteam. I'd expect it to drive closer to my Mojave if anything.

Not falling for it this time I spent over $500 on the first one & it’s the worst RC I’ve ever had I love the look of it & when it ran it wa awesome but mine would break after 2 runs or so over & over & became a money pit. Last time out which was over a year ago I just replaced the entire center diff & first time out after the rear went out. I have a total of under 20 runs on it. Now it just sits looking pretty on the shelf. Now maybe I got a bad one I don’t know but Losi lost my business right outta the gate I’ve wanted to but Losi’s but I do not trust the quality. The runs I did have on it where not even bashing just running it. Such a disappointment. 🤨

Nice looking car and sweet run, bummer about the breakage though! That front outdrive looks crazy scraped up, you think a tiny pebble could have gotten in there and jammed it, breaking off the pin? Seems like a weird thing to break without something else interfering with it, you weren't even running it hard.

I wonder if the 1/6 Lasernut cage could be fitted to an Arrma XLWB 6s chassis? That would make the Lasernut bashable, otherwise it's just another Losi money pit. It's really cool, just not very durable, just like the 1/10 version that preceded it.

I don't mind paying a little more for a robust model, but the Lasernut is not that. This is the second one I have seen that broke a dog bone.. and this vid was mild bashing. I don't think I am buying one of these. For $200 more you can get an 8S Kraton and have a lot more RC.

    That's a bad spot for a power button/switch
I have the losi super baja/rock rey 2.0
    Love them both
They don't break easy they are pretty damn durable
But I really like how on my 2 losi trucks that the batteries go in the bottom and you don't have to remove the body at all to do that
    On the flip side
It does make it a challenge to do some work on them
When that time does come to do repairs or maintenance
The rear diff is real easy to get to the front and center not as easy
I wasn't a fan of the small laser nut
It's appearance isn't isn't appealing in my opinion
This looks cool but what are the issues that comes with it
    We shall see
I am into large scale rc cars I have a few
I will see what happens with this rig over time and see if I even want to get one
    Good content
