  • EDIT: the music and narration fights each other at different points of the video. I apologize my mic wasn't working. I am editing the video and just lowering the background music, then it will be more tolerable. I will delete this one and upload the new one at some point in the near future.

    This is the first full service for the 2015 Bad Boy Elite with the 54" mower deck. I strip the deck down and replace spindle bearing and mower blades.

    Just opened mine and the pulley bolt with washer was LOOOSE! Thank God I opened it up. Lame boy mowers. Hence the name "boy"

    they did a test with the cutlass blades on a great Dane stander to a steel rod in the ground and it didn't even screw the mower up at all a real money saver can't wait till mine get here but here in good old buffalo ny snow will be here before we know it also if you want something else that will blow your mind on RUclips type in blizzard of 77

    "A lot of people put grease zerks in the housing..." Smart people put zerks in the housing; unless you like changing bearings every 2 years. Blue loctite on the collar screw threads too.

    No, you dont want a press fit. Thats the whole point of how those spindles work. Theyre user serviceable.

    the cutlass blade tips come in a box not Shure how many are in the box I believe enough for 3 full blade changes so you never have any don't time only takes seconds to change them there awesome by the way love the lift in your garage think I'm going to look into a neumatic lift table along with the 750 lb mower jack from harbor frieght

    Is this the same process for doing a rogue to? Mine has vibration and is tearing up belts and found out the collar was eating into the pulley

      I think all the spindle assemblies are the same.

    Do you have to remove the housing to replace the spindle bearings?

    • @whatsnextgarage
      @whatsnextgarage  3 года назад

      No, just have to remove the mower blade bolt from underneath, then the rest comes out the top, pulley side. I removed the entire housing because I was servicing the entire deck.

    Please don't play music while you are narrating. At that point it's just noise and makes hearing your explanation difficult. Good stuff otherwise.

      yes i agree 100% typically i have my wireless mic but it is out of service. i tried to blend the narration but there are highs and lows which are frustrating when i am trying to put out a good product. makes me want to pull the vid down and reedit until i am happy with it. I appreciate your input!!! thanks!

    Bad Boy quality control is terrible. So is their engineering Very sloppy workmanship on their part.

      I noticed that from the deck bearings. However everything else has been operating good and my Wife cuts the grass and she is not gentle on it. I’ve had to pull her out of the swamp a few times because she wanted to cut a path😂

    Bearings wore out at 200 hours? what a piece of junk

    • @whatsnextgarage
      @whatsnextgarage  3 года назад

      The bearings could have been a bit better quality, but my wife cuts our grass and she doesn't get off the mower to move stuff. I have heard plenty of times when it wasn't grass the blades were hitting. I still believe this mower is a dang good buy for the price point and am super happy so far.
