Jeremy Soule WON a BAFTA for this game’s soundtrack. It’s that fucking good.
Wait, the soundrack is by Soule? That explains why Micky likes it!
Yep! It's great!
He also won a BAFTA for the Prisoner Of Azkaban, so he has to play that as well
That’s cool he got a BAFTA
@@nofun.8376 I love his work on Prisoner of Azkaban.
Fun Fact: The soundtrack for the Harry Potter games are by Jeremy Soule, best known for The Elder Scrolls.
It's like poetry, we've gone full circle
The Basilisk Fight theme has no reason to be so awesome.
Voldemort: I killed your parents
Harry: You n'wah..!
KOTOR as well!!
No wayyy that's awesome!
If you miss your school train because you talked to your new teacher too long, you
[ ] ask him to give you a lift
[X] steal your friend's dad's car with him and crash it into a tree
I was thinking the exact same thing while editing. He was probably on his way to the school anyway
honestly i'd take the second option than hear Gildaroy stroke his ego non stop
Totally forgot that Harry was Irish and had depression
At least he's a basement loser
Those things usually go together.
Most homes here in Ireland don't have basements.
@@johnnypatterson7512 Santa isn't real
@@MickyD wait…. What the hell?! What kind of witchcraft is this?! Your mom isn’t real. Unlike your mother though, Santa is real
I always remember the stealth sections scaring the heck out of me because out of nowhere, after so many seconds of pure focus on not being caught, you just hear 70 trumpets all in your ears all at once. It wasn't even that big of a deal to get caught, but this game sure made you feel like it was.
“Hey you wanna throw gnomes together in the bathroom?”
-Fred to Harry
I'm pretty sure someone already wrote that fanfiction.
This franchise is obsessed with bathrooms
8:12 And then the black book transported Harry to the realm of Hermaeus Mora, and he was never heard from again.
Played this game religiously as a child. It really has some of the best gameplay in the franchise. I always enjoyed hunting down all the cards and running from the prefects
The prefects freaked me out as a kid haha. My mind was blown though when they let you have the broom stick, I just flew around hogwarts most of the time
@@IIbrAunII Yup same, the best thing was just being able to fly around everywhere, and realizing there was so much more to explore on the outside of the castle xD
@@IIbrAunII im glad im not alone dude i had an irrational of fear of getting caught as them as a kid
"Telling me to do something is the best way to get me to not do something."
Spoken like a true Morrowind player.
I was genuinely terrified in the Magical Menagerie as a kid.
I'm not alone?
Stephen Fry is the narrator in the UK version because he narrated the audio book versions of Harry Potter
Jim dale narrates the American version of this game and also the audio books as well
Also because he's awesome.
@@GageTheADHDPanda I've been listening to the audiobooks on audible with Jim Dale and didn't even realized he narrated this game. Micky was talking over most of the narration so it didn't quite click yet lol
What a classic. Loved that intro when he says if Harry Potter goes back to hog warts, he will be in mortal danger
This game on PC was my childhood. I lived in constant terror of Peaves jumping out of the chests. My paranoia knew no limits.
*peeves
@@dildojizzbaggins6969 Fair enough. You'll forgive me if I cant quite remember the spelling of a minor character from a game I last played 15 years ago. Wasn't sure if it was an A or and E.
@@bencampbell5468 no google came with your internet? then I'm sorry. not your fault AT ALL... *eyesroll*
Is the pc version different from the consoles?
@TheNewtypeMyth yeah you're right, it's unnecessary. I'll leave and read some Herry Podder :D
I just found you recently, now I'm binge watching everything I can. Right now the philosophers stone palylist, then this. Bless you man!
Micky D is the only youtuber I watch gameplays, something that's really out of fashion (gp walkthroughs are so 2013) these days and he's one of the very few that make them interesting
@@danielchequer5842 for me it’s Micky D and OneyPlays. That’s it.
Daniel Chéquer you should watch CallMeKevin he does Harry Potter games too and hilarious
It's crazy how different the console versions were compared to the PC one.
On the PC, they skip straight to Hogwarts and don't even deal with anything at the Weasley's or at Diagon Alley.
I never knew beans were so important to the lore of Harry Potter??
A BEAN
Seeing that washing machine brought back some strong memories of being shite at this game as a kid
“Have a go on dads magical #%^@“
😂🤣😂
If you and CallMeKevin collabed it would be the Irish event of the century.
Especially for a HP game
They sound exactly like each other I thought I was tripping😂😅
I mean, has anyone ever seen them together in one room?
Jesus christ the nostalgia hits like a train... remember playing this on my ps2, must have been 9 or 10 😣 please make more
This game truly was terrifying for me as a child. I look forward to being further scared by your HP2 videos.
Why is Potter scrounging for coins in barrels when his parents left him a fortune in the bank?
Or did the specky brat spend it all on sweets?
Buying the trolly in hp1 put him in debt to the hogwarts express, and they ain't to be fucked with
@@WestNorf most accurate portrayal of food on a train
@@WestNorf checked some music out on you're channel, some nice stuff man! Coming from someone who is into metal and gabberhouse haha

Thanks man doing a mixtape currently should be on there soon drop a sub !
This game was one of the only games I had for my ps2 in 2007
One of the few games I can replay endlessly
The music in this game is just so good.
Jeremy Soule is brilliant.
0:09 I'm glad you used my comment from one of your old videos
Man, I loved this game as a kid, so excited for this. A few years back I bought myself a ps2 with a bunch of games and Chamber of secrets was one of them. The guy who sold it to me actually made fun of me for buying it! Like... is he crazy? This game is sick!
I remember playing this with my younger brother on the gamecube, Lockhart mentions being "captured by trolls in Stockton-on-Tees" , we both lost our minds as thats where we live haha. Good memories.
"have a go on dad's magical [redacted]" haha lol
Not calling me a basement loser still hits hard
Hurts me not saying it
Still flabbergasted how the PS2 version had more content than the CD-ROM version.
It's also on a CD, soooooooo.....
You completely misunderstood what he said and not only that, most PS2 games use 4.7gb DVDs.
@KUPOkinz
Did you even look at the disc itself?
10:44 Orphan of Kos PTSD triggered
I couldn't put my finger on why the game looked different than I remembered until you mentioned that the graphics were different on the gamecube. I had to look up the differences to really see it. Maybe I'll go take the dust off my gamecube and play it again.
This brings back a tonne of memories for me. Philosopher's Stone on the PS1, this, PoA and GoF on the GC and Quidditch World Cup on the PS2 made up a good portion of my early game collection.
Please continue the series until Order of the Phoenix on the PS2! have loads of fond memories playing that one!
Out of all of the channels I subscribe to yours is the only one that gets me excited when I see a new vid pop up. Thanks for making the world a brighter place.
The first game I ever played on PS2. I couldn't imagine graphics being better than this until I played Melee for the first time.
watching these games being played is a total blast to the past, I loved them so much. And ofc the commentary only makes it way better. Looking forward to more of this!
"excuse me sir...why you have picture of Hermione on the wall" 😂😂😂
that's total hilarious makes me laugh for two minutes 🤣🤣
This brought back so many amazing memories, me and my cousin spent a few days just pouring over every inch of this game.
Love your sense of humor, and taste in games! New fan made. Thanks for the laughs man. You're very good at what you do.
I just handed in my thesis, and Micky D has a new upload for me, thank you Lord D ❤️
The abrupt transition between Diagon Alley and the flying car is still making me laugh. Like, did Ron's Mom and Ginny and all of them just ditch Harry and Ron???? And then Ron falls out of the fucking car and dies.
Also apparently Jeremy Soule did the music for this game? No wonder its excellent: aside from the obvious Elder Scrolls series, Jeremy Soule has worked on a pretty wide range of games and I've loved all of his soundtracks. He is very talented.
Also, I hope this just becomes a series and you eventually play all of the Harry Potter games.
Now this is pod racing !
2002....man where have the years gone ;_;
Wish this game was ported to modern systems. Miss it alot
I am so excited for this series
mate the pc version of these games were so good
This is my favorite PS2 game and favorite game soundtrack which inspired me to write my own. Your comedy is on point, as always, and I am very much looking forward to your upcoming videos on this series!
Right in the nostalgia
I love this channel so much. Some of the freshest gaming content on here.
Oh no, another Irish RUclipsr playing classic harry potter games... I'm here for it
"You've got yourself a girlfriend". Yeah dude. Future wife actually.
The fact that Harry is already retrieving her things and carrying them speaks volumes about what their future together will be like.
I am so glad i have been blessed with your cannel. i've binged almost all of your videos
Yes baby i knew you upload something else than morrowind
I love ya man
loved this game so much on the gamecube version would always scare me getting caught by the shop keeper or percy with the circle spell trap they’d hit you with
It's ridiculous how entertaining you are playing these
Oh hey more Harry Potter. Great stuff.
I found your channel from your sound financial decisions buying all of the Sims 4 DLC. I love the nostalgia trip going through these games I have a lot of half-memories playing through.
This showed up on my recommended feed. Never heard of your channel before. Loved this game and this video. You sir earned yourself a new sub :)
Don't stop doing these Harry Potter videos im loving them, great work
I just started watching harry Potter again a few days ago. Yesterday I finished the chamber of secrets, then I get recommend this video, great stuff lad
That sneakpart in diagon alley is the reason I didn't touch this game for over 6 months. And that diagon alley soundtrack is just beautiful. Nice video, thanks! :D
The first line being shade thrown at Longford needs a lot more appreciation
Maaaaaan, getting ptsd flash backs to playing that Quidditch World Cup game on PS2!!
Brilliant! This is indeed my favorite Harry Potter game!
It's actually the worst, said no one ever.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 No this is the best one the worst is the Goblet of Fire
Still have the PC version and the PS2 version somewhere, loved it when I was young!
me and my brother use to play this 24/7. good times.
The sound the game made when the Prefects spotted you scared the crap out of me as a kid hahaha
Man... this game, Prisoner of Azkaban and Order of the Pheonix were my favorite games. The nostalgia is real.
This was so well made
I can’t wait until you get to Prisoner of Azkaban, I played it so much
So this video randomly popped up in my reccomendations. And from what I've seen you're an amazing RUclipsr. Got a new sub
Watching this is pure nostalgia. Thank you.
ive been waiting for this more than ever
Your videos actually make me want to play these games xD
Who else thinks micky is the most underrated RUclipsr on RUclips? Lol Love this guy’s commentary
Holy dang, half hour?! I love it!
Hope your doing well, Mick
Putting Lumos at the circle button, SO glad it wasn't just me LOL!
Yessss, been waiting for this
oh my god I was literally revisiting this game 2 days ago. Plugged in the old xbox for some nostalgia. Great minds think alike
Isn't this the game with the sneaking part in the library that's scary?
I just remember the sneaking parts when you’re hiding from the shop keeper or to get to Fred and George’s shop… even the guards outside… that music when you get busted is frightening. They scream “HEY YOU!” Why did that scare me so much!!!
Mick you're my favorite fuckin youtuber bud
Oh heck yeah, was looking forward to this!
do a let's play of this game! I got this game (along with a PS2) for Christmas back in 2002 :)
Been waiting for a good channel to play this game, hell interested to know how you beat the lag too, I've tried emulating this myself and its just un-playable. Hence my joy at seeing this series keep it up lad xx
When I was like 12 years old I got sick and stayed home from school for a couple days and my mom brought me this game. I played it in basically one sitting. Best time.
I love your videos. Your humour is just much like mine, so take that as you will. Looking forward to seeing more from you!
this game was so sick
i love paramore - crush lmao no joke. hellya Micky
Seen all the first game been waiting for this one, glad to see it
Thank you so much for the Roy Wood Wizzard joke! One of my favourite artists! I roared laughing.
this bought back so many memories, so nostalgic
Wow this is so different from the PC version of the game!
Yes! been looking forward to this! :D
Lmao, your video takes me way farther back then I meant to go. Love it. 😂
Your accent reminds me of Seamus and I love it, it’s like Seamus went to the muggle world and started playing Harry potter games
duuuuude i used to fucking love this game. still never figured out how to unlock the doors in the alley tho
also pls continue this playthrough
"Flick the beans Harry!"
Chamber of Secrets just got good games all around. The PS2 and Gamecube version; the Gameboy Advance; and my personal favorite, the PC version; were all great.
Holy crappp so much nostalgia! Such a good game, remember playinh it all the time as a kid on the old xbox....
That early game stealth section around 20:00 scared the crap out of me as a kid
