I just knew God was trying to say something to me. I felt that He knew me and that He loved me, and that He had a plan for me. There were going to be some scary things that He was going to ask me to do, but I just had to face my fears and if I did I would find out that He was bigger than anything I was afraid of."

Mandy, you are a freaking G, girl! What a great story! I relate all too well with your feeling of imposter syndrome. I always wanted to be so perfect, and yet I literally thought that I was likely an embodied devil for how much I screwed up.
A few years back, I was excommunicated, and I knew it's what I needed if I had any hope for myself. Even though it was a serious thing to go through, I don't think I'd ever felt the Savior's love for me so much! About a month ago, I went back to the temple for the first time in 4 years, and I felt the peace of knowing that I was where He wanted me to be.
    God bless you, sister!

I sat here weeping as I listened to this podcast. Such a great spirit shone through her out to anyone who listens with a believing and caring heart. She sought understanding and found truth. A kind and loving God led me back into the church after being absent for six years.
I am a simple man. For me, there are no "hard" questions. The Holy Spirit bore witness to me of the absolute truth of the Book of Mormon and that Joseph Smith was a holy prophet called of God, and many other thing over 50 years ago. Since that time I have have measured everything I have read or heard relating to the Church of Jesus Christ against that witness. Interestingly enough when the prophets speak I can find no fault. When people speak against the Church of Jesus Christ their words do not fit and I find them wanting and untrue. The Spirit continues to witness to me of truth and righteousness to this day.
Please continue this wonderful work you do with this podcast.

I was given an anti-Mormon book once. As I began to read it, I recognized the twisted & half-truths & how things were taken out of context and misrepresented our beliefs. Like you said, I felt darkness - the Spirit completely w/drew (we take feeling it for granted I think). I put the book dwn & picked up the BoM & the Spirit returned. I picked up the anti- bk & it w/drew. I picked up the Bible & it returned. I did this a few times amazed by this experience. There was an obvious & clear difference btwn the darkness & light. I realized that b/c the Spirit is a testifier of truth, He w/draws in the presence of lies, especially abt Christ’s church & doctrines. Then the understanding came, “this is why ppl who read anti-Mormon material fear &/or hate us so much; the Spirit completely w/draws & they’re left to feel this empty darkness… & instead of associating this darkness w/ the bk they’re reading, they associate it w/ us.” It was an interesting lesson & understanding from the Spirit. I’ve never read anti-Mormon material - even comments on podcasts etc… I just don’t like to invite the darkness.

I can relate! I’m still trying to get back to where I was testimony-wise before I heard my first anti-literature (from an intentionally deceptively named prominent RUclips channel) that lead me to read it as well. I’m barely able to say I even believe in a god, but that’s how critical theory works. You are trained to see darkness in everything, chaos in order, struggle where there isn’t any, and it trains your mind to reject sound truth. For instance, the divinity and beauty of our binary male/female bodies and the binary roles that are reflected in both. It gets you to believe that there is no sin, only struggle against oppression and therefore we are not EVER accountable for our actions or their outcomes that come from our actions. It gets you to desire to promote (vs loving tolerate) all abominations and whoredoms that cause us to stray from our potential to procreate in the godly order of man/woman family units. Again, your darkness vs light description is 100% ❤.

@@dcarts5616 as there’s more and more darkness and confusion in the world, we have to make more and more of an effort to fill ourselves w/ light. I was pretty isolated from political & other worldly things until I moved to a different state and then started to hear some crazy things going on that seemed unbelievable. I prayed and asked for understanding and truth. He put certain podcasts in my feed that showed me … I continued to watch, feeling I needed to stay informed, & it began stealing my peace. Finally in prayer, He told me to stop … I know what’s going on, the corruption, Satan’s plan to divide everybody & stir up hate, and destroy families and ppl’s sense of divine identity… so now it’s time to stop feeding on it and only seek after & feed on light and truth. Eventually the peace returned. Ppl might say, “ but you have to stay informed!” Truthfully, it’s all just repeat of the same kind of thing. What I need to do is make sure I’m a source of light and filled w/ love for all God’s children … like an oasis in a desert for ppl who’ve had their peace stolen & don’t understand how & why … or that it’s even happened to them.
Good luck on your journey back to light and truth🙂💕

What a great testimony, thank you Mandy! It’s so refreshing hearing someone outside church that had that feeling that washed over you when you were out running.
Many dismiss those feelings as irrelevant. But as someone in the church I have felt a lot of the language of the Spirit through that sixth, feeling sense. Closely associated to conscience.
I listened to those voices once. And from my own experience, the unhappiest I’ve ever been is when I’ve been misaligned with those feelings. And the happiest I’ever am is when I’m 100% congruently aligned with them.

Mandy, you mentioned an abused girl who was told that she "volunteered" prior to this life to be in an ugly toxic family. That doesn't work for me. I am a child of God -- and he has sent me here -- has given me an earthly home --with parents who were criminally insane. I did not volunteer for that. I was assigned. But I accepted the assignment of being tortured. God does live and Christ's atonement makes things right. My suffering is nothing when compared to His. I can appreciate His sacrifice. I highly recommend the family support group sessions that are part of the Church addiction recovery program. If anyone suffers from PTSD, keep going. God will help you. He has helped me.

What's the point of God leading you back to your true self your true self or your truest self cannot save you, only Jesus Christ can save, which you continuously deny Him because you continuously deny His Authority, given to Him by God the Father as Jesus says in John chapter 5. Because of this Jesus says he has complete Authority.
Jesus then repeats Himself and says in Matthew ch 28
16 Meanwhile the eleven disciples set out for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged to meet them.
17 When they saw him they fell down before him, though some hesitated.
18 Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
You and all of protestantism deny Jesus by denying His Authority by not doing the following
John ch 6 John ch 6 vrs
53 Jesus replied to them: In all truth I tell you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day.
55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in that person.
57 As the living Father sent me and I draw life from the Father, so whoever eats me will also draw life from me.
58 This is the bread which has come down from heaven; it is not like the bread our ancestors ate: they are dead, but anyone who eats this bread will live for ever.
59 This is what he taught at Capernaum in the synagogue.
Hope this help's or at least its a start on your quest to the Catholic faith, outside of which there is no salvation.

When you seek answers from the Book of Mormon instead of the Bible, God can't help you because you have turned your back on Him. Therefore this leaves the door open for Satan (II Corinthians 11:14-15) to step into your life with a false christ or prophet showing you signs and wonders to lead you away from the real Jesus of the Bible who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity. God Himself warns us about this in MATTHEW 24:23-24 "Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect..."
Mormons teach and believe that their jesus is the brother of Satan, which contradicts what God says in His Bible that Jesus is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
So Mormons, which Jesus do you believe in?
    A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon who is the brother of Satan.
    OR
    B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.

We no longer use the term "Mormon" as a descriptive term for either the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or its members. Please refer to us as members of the Church of Jesus Christ or Latter-day Saints. I know well who I worship, God, our Father in Heaven, and His Son, Jesus Christ, as we are commanded. There is truly only one Christ. He in the Only Begotten Son of the
Father, born of His mortal mother, Mary, in Bethlehem in Judah. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith and our salvation. He alone was able to atone for our sins. He alone is our Advocate with the Father of us all.
If want to know whether the Book of Mormon is a witness of that same Jesus Christ, I encourage you to read it with a sincere desire to know the Truth of the matter. If you will, God will witness the Truth of it to you as He did to me over Fifty years ago. God bless you in your search for truth.

      @Merrill Gray
      Saints!?
Let me point our the following.
It was the Mormon church who attacked Christianity first when Joseph Smith said that "all the churches are wrong and an abomination before God..." (Joseph Smith---History 1:19). For over 193 years the Mormon church has supported their racists doctrine that all blacks are cursed by God. Let me quote from one of your prophets:
"You must not think that I am opposed to slavery. No! The Negro is damned and is to serve his master till God chooses to remove the curse of Ham..."
      Prophet Brigham Young,
Journal of Discourses, V.2, pp 142-143.
Let's go back in time to September 1857 to the MOUNTAIN MEADOWS MASSACRE in which "Mormons" led by John D Lee murdered 120-140 innocent men, women, and CHILDREN of the Baker-Fancher wagon train. Later before his death John D Lee confessed that Brigham Young gave him the order to kill all those innocent people. And to add insult to the victims, the Mormon church names a university after Brigham Young. How insensitive of the Mormon church!
Most recently the Mormon church has settled multi-million dollar sexual assault lawsuits against the Mormon church. So please, don't stand there thinking you and other Mormons have some kind of "moral high ground" on everyone else who questions the truthfulness of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon.
My question regarding you knowing the true identity of Jesus Christ was very simple and an important part of Jesus' identity. But you choose to ignore it. So I'll ask again.
Which Jesus do you believe in?
      A. Your jesus of the Book of Mormon, who is the brother of Satan.
      OR
      B. The Jesus of the Bible, who is God the Son 2nd person of the Trinity.
Which one do you believe in?
