My mum bless her bought me the RS 50 2years old at the time.. 1995.. All my mates had AR50s, RD125s and similar bikes.. All got beat.. Loved it.. I was 16 and it kicked ass.. Looked ace and did an easy 110kph.. Nearly.. Lol.. 108 or there abouts.. Only a mate with a Cagiva Mito (super rare now and awesome) was quicker.. the 1990s really was the pinnacle of existence. I think we are on the way down the other side now.. Lol
@@juancarlosdelgado5170 mine was standard too in 1995.. 2 Stroke with a great sound and smell.. The world should be ashamed it let the demise of 2 stroke be a thing as they were just the best fun and certainly the fastest too
Amazing video and riding regardless of ccs, this is very flickable bike, and the extra ccs makes it even more competable with the 125 4t bikes, I'd rather take this even in stock form,2t is the best 🏍️💨💨💨
Hello im 13 and in italy when u turn 14 u can ride a 50cc and im looking into the same bike aprilia rs 50 extrema just that the 1993 model, what modifications did it have?
hi all. I recently bought an Aprilia RS50 moped after sitting for 3 years. It drives great, started from the pushrod even without rebuilding the carburetor. but there is one problem, it won't start with the button. I found the location of the starter relay on the left side on the back side of the frame, apparently it is attached with a screw to the plastic battery niche. Has anyone found out how to remove it? without dismantling the entire moped?
is this 50 cc strong and fast enough to lean deeply into curves or is that a No-No on this smaller engine due to lack of generating enough Centripetal force? that is the force REQUIRED for creating circular motion bringing us inward the center on a bike. Centrifugal force is the opposite force that makes a took weak bike flee from the center force in the curves and round-abouts and makes us being pulled out and eventually fly off the track or street away from the center of the circle movement... but what bout this little CC, will it do the trick and let you you lie deep with you knee down and circle through with the feeling you are being pulled into the center or outward from the center? To me, that is the first thing I wanna know with a track or racing bike! 😂😎
Sorry man but im a mechanical engineer and that statement is so flawed in so many way. You know what centripetal force is, the tanget of the circular motion at any given moment perpendicular to the rotation, but it has nothing to do with the engine size. Its the speed and the turning radius that creates the force. They lean very heavily on bicycles on oval indoortracks, and they weigh only 3-4kgs and have no engines. You can lean any bike down granted it has some speed and clearance and the grip recuired in the tyres.
Very reliable. I rode this bike hard everyday with the same top end for about 2 years and never had any problems. Bike is sold now but I believe it’s still running perfect.

Hi, great work on the engine. How reliable is it at that state of tune, are you able to get decent lifespan of the rings? Thank you

Hello I hope you see this is there any way to check the fuel levels on the older version of this bike or do you have to base it off the mileage ?
No there’s no fuel gauge, I would run out all the time lol

Lovely bike. Curious about your exhaust though. What one is it and what sort of powerband has got? 8-11k rpm?
It’s a custom exhaust I designed and made myself. It would pull well past 12k in the lower gears. But yes the powerband starts at about 8k.
