At age 80 bought a Monkey at the Kingman Honda dealer 6/13/2023 and took it for my first 50 mile ride and breaking in the engine, so far so good. Like your videos.
Excellent comment! Stay safe. Thank you. Blessings from Arizona!
From a monkey owner in Norway. This was great. 😎🇸🇯🤙🤙👍
Excellent adventure you need to change oil.
I put 87 on my grom also, some grom riders tell me that's bad but so far no problems at 43k miles.
Excellent mileage and great to know it's still going strong at 43k!
From a Monkey 2022 owner in QC Canada.Congratulation for your very interesting trip and Thanks for sharing It.

Man that was an EPIC trip to the Grand Canyon , awesome. You mentioned having the Monkey tapped out around 60 mph and having a bigger bike would use more gas. That may not be true , a small engine running at a high rpm uses more gas than say a 250 cc running at a lower rpm or close to the same depending on the gearing of the bike. I'm glad to see that you're wearing a helmet. The scenery is magnificent in the area you're riding in. Can't wait to see the next adventure.
Though your comment seems well written to sound intelligent you are incorrect. There is a thing called brake specific fuel consumption. The formula is used in most engine and dyno shops. It takes x amount of fuel to produce x amount of horsepower. In other words, there is physically no possible way that a 8 horsepower Honda monkey will get the same fuel economy as a bike that has 50 horsepower. Even if the monkey was tuned excessively rich, it’s still not going to burn the same amount of fuel as a larger machine. Don’t blame me, blame physics.
I get 140 to 160mpg UK. On monkey.
You only die once so make the best of every single day your living! What an Amazing experience Life is!

Very cool! I'll have to check it out of i every get free time, always filming, editing answering emails... lol
Great road trip my friend. That monkey's little motor kicks but it can handle the road. God bless, take care and be safe when you're out in the wilderness.
Thank you! This little bike is wonderful! Good bless you my friend from Arizona!
I just love this guy! He's such an Amazing person! Love the trip on the Monkey!
You are so kind! Thank you,,, much more motorcycle videos coming!
I’m surprised how well the audio is. You have lived and had so many adventures through the years I’ve followed you…so jealous. I have been nowhere and have seen nothing. Thanks for videos like this one. Fun to watch
Love this video! Nothing compares to The Juijitsu Brothers!
Always love th Joy of this man's voyage! Mirrors Mattter!
You're living the life brother!
That was an awesome adventure. So glad that you have the desire to venture out and take your friends with you. I started with a Honda 55 Trail when I was 14 years old. I literally wore that thing out before trading it in on a Honda 90 Sportster model. That 90 was a great bike. I bought a Honda 175 Scrambler that by far gave me my greatest memories. I found that if I ran premium grade fuel that I experienced a noticeable boost in performance in all three machines. Regardless, you are enjoying life so please continue on. Definitely looking forward to more adventures, thank you.
Thank you sir for sharing...... Never been there. Looks so beautiful! Maybe some day! It's crazy how close the elk comes to humans...... thanks again.... GREAT video!
I'm a Norwegian with the same bike and love the bike, and do agree Grand Canyon is a must-see, a special place indeed .and thank you, you made me closer to God and what I really need right now , not that anything is wrong but the video did touch me,, thank you
What a great adventure Ju! I just got a 2023 Monkey n would love to take that trip!
Skeeter I missed seeing you up there by one day. I just dropped off my 5th wheel up there for an Elk hunt that starts this Friday.
Great adventure you did!
Thank you for sharing. Awesome journey!
Wow! This has been absolutely amazing and beautiful to watch! What an awesome adventure and sight to see! I've never been there, but always dreamed of it! This was just a breath taking video! You are so amazing at documenting all of its beauty and your excitement at being there ❤
Thank you honey! It was a fun trip. I'll take you there sometime. It's breathtaking!
@@jiujitsu2000 I can't wait for that adventure and many more together 🥰

Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you,,, Blessings from Arizona... Many more motorcycle videos coming
Beautiful Views. Thanks for filming your trip. Loved it !
I love your videos. You an I think a lot alike. I have a Monkey on order but it will be quite sometime before it is in my garage. I DO have a Trail 125 though!!! I just love her. I am in the Ozarks of Arkansas so, I have all of the small paved 2 lanes and dirt truck trails to play on. Thanks again, Rev
Greetings from a monkey owner in Turkiye. This bike is sooo fun. I love it love it :))
Thanks for your video and the ride, very much enjoyed this experience as well!
Thank you Jesus. And thank you Jj2000. Those who are based and grateful will experience blessings daily. 👍👍🌄⚔🛡🐯
awesome trip man love it
Whan Amazing journey on a mini toureg!
What an absolutely incredible adventure aboard your little Monkey! Thank you so much for taking us all along with you! That little Monkey ran and performed like the little Champ that Honda designed it to be! I owned a 1969 Honda Z-50 Mini-Trail, the predecessor to your bike, and that little gladiator was a little fighter, too -- climbed everything with a 1.95 HP, 3-speed automatic clutch engine and took a serious beating from a young kid (me) who raced the hell out of it. And, lastly, I've got to get to the Grand Canyon. My wife and I have been talking about driving out there, and since I just got a new Subaru Forester, we're all set! Thanks for sharing this video again! Liked and subscribed!
Been out thru the same route before and brought me great memories.
Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Outstanding brother 👏 👌 🙌
I finally got my Monkey! I now have 394 miles on her and I LOVE it! The Monkey is really comfortable and fun. My longest ride so far is 120 miles,, to the dealership and back. Oddly enough I have spent a lot of time in the area you live. It is one of my favorite places in America. Lake Mary is cool and The Grand Canyon is amazing.
Monkey owner and fan from Cali. So glad i stumbled across this magnificent video!
Great video and trip. Thank you.
Excellent comment. Thank you!
Great video, that was fun! I'm getting my Monkey in about two weeks and can't wait to start riding southwest Colorado. Thanks for sharing and God bless!
Fantasy ride! Love the mpgs..
From the uk/egypt with love of adventure. I really enjoyed you video. Iam looking forward for your next videos on the honda Monkey. Keep travelling 😇👍🏼
Fantastic adventure n view of the Grand Canyon that monkey did great.
Great video as always. Still loving my 2019 Yellow Monkey. At 6500 Miles now and taking joy from every one. VIVA THE MONKEY REVOLUTION. Cheers Dean aka MonkeyDixAdventures
Excellent! Thank you! That's be awesome to do a collaboration sometime
Cool trip!
Wow what an adventure. Thanks for sharing and greetings from Down Under 🙃
Good evening from Syracuse NY brother thank you for sharing your adventures
Thank you! This was a fun one!!
I rode my Monkey around the Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore. It was a blast. You see so much more on a motorcycle. I was at the Grand Canyon last year in my car but I dream of riding the Monkey around the area. God Bless.
Pretty soon ,You will be playing Johnny Cash " I've been everywhere, Man ,I've been everywhere" 😁👍
My love and my respect my friend from Greece. Take care God be with you . Great video ❤. Please give us more adventures with little honda 😊
So awesome! What a great day !
Thank you, I really enjoyed this one!
Wow what a fantastic video I only found this by chance as I am obsessed with that yellow Monkey :) I would love one of these, your video was great you come across as such a genuine nature loving person and I will look at more of your trips but please give us more Monkey adventures :)
Loved this video. You have such a great attitude. My wife and I are buying monkeys soon and this got us even more excited. Looking forward to fun small bike after only riding my KLR650
You are so kind
I was hoping you wouldn't do the POV crap, but you did.
Good video quality, audio not always the best, but pretty decent.
Those straights are such a pain with that engine...
I need to go back and do these trips again.
👍🏻
Great comment thank you!
Fantastic video and trip , very inspirational to small bike owners that you can go anywhere on anything, just pace yourself to the bikes capabilities.
Great stuff man! Cheers 🍻
Thank you so much! Blessings to you!!
it is indescrible view made by god..... job well done
Thanks for sharing. The video and audio made me feel like I was right there. This completely debunks the myth that you need a big bike to have fun. Gone monkey shopping...
Wow, what a fantastic trip. The Grand Canyon truly is awe inspiring and to get there on a Honda Monkey. Match made in Heaven. Thank you for the great video 😊.
Fantastic vidio , I had a yellow monkey also. Great little bike, I changed the front cog for better speed on the highway and less strain on the engine, well worth doing to your bike. Take care buddy.
What a great trip! Spectacular!
That Monkey Bike is the ultimate happyness and freedom machine.
Takes you places you would'nt dare to take that jet powerful, but big'n chunky bike to.
Got my 2022 banana yellow Monkey Bike in april and at this saisons end already got 8000miles of smiles on the clock.
Greetings from Germany 👍🇩🇪
I know this is the wrong video to leave this question but I can tell you're a busy guy! Have you ever tried your MSR whisperlite universal with a iso to propane adapter to run the classic green 1 pound propane tanks?
Your stove videos are brilliant!
Thanks a bunch!
Thank you, I use whisperlite universal with green propane all the time. Works great!
Awesome Little Bike, Excellent Mileage Per Gallon.. Enjoyed The Video... Became A Subscriber
Thank you so much!!
Great video but i was under the impression you were gonna take the Monkey down into the canyon. It would be a perfect replacement for the mules they put you on for the trip to the bortom.
Best Monkey video out there! Thank you for sharing this experience. Just bought a red ‘23 and can’t wait for the weather to break to try it out. I didn’t know that you were able to carry a firearm in a National park. Glad you were able to have protection!
Thank you ! In 2010, congress approved a new law allowing loaded firearms in national parks. One of the joys of having a cwp. You've gonna love your monkey! They're awesome! Blessings from Arizona!
@@jiujitsu2000 Thanks I did not know that! I’m curious how your back held up on your trip.
GREAT job; I have a Honda Goldwing that I haven't ridden that far on a trip!!! By the way, I live in Connecticut, and got to "stand on the corner of Winslow" last April...a blast!!!
Just love your trip and your commentary👍🏍💨💨 How much weight did you carry on the Monkey for this trip?🤔
Good day to you!
I am HONDA Cross Cub camper Grandpa.
This is a amazing adventure video!!
Great!!
Have a nice day !
Always nice to see someone traveling on a small bike. Adventure is guaranteed. The Monkey 🐒 is a great little bike. I have had big bikes before but now have changed chip and want to have a much slower pace and great gas mileage to enjoy the scenery more.
Tried buying a Honda Super Cub 125 but heck darn thing comes out to be 4.300 euros which is + - the same amount in dollars.
I think I may have found the perfect bike to travel with...
I was looking for a bike with great gas mileage, dependable, and be able to hit the roads and gravel/dirt roads. I came across the Zontes G1 125cc Scrambler which comes with many extras has 3 years warranty...
The 20 liter gas tank it has gives you roughly 850 kilometers which is great, comes with abs, water-cooled,
And much more. Out the door it was only 3.500 euros!! But one day when when I can afford the Honda Super Cub I certainly will get it! For now I will be Spain , Portugal, France, and Italy... with the G1 125 it's going to be memorable I hope.
Nice video, thx for sharing 👍
Hi from England. I am a fellow monkey biker and have had my 2019 model from new in that year.
I have had many wonderful adventures on said machine, both on and off road and I can tell you from experience running fuel endurance tests running full to empty, when the fuel light shows, I got another 50 miles before she spluttered to a stop! The gauge will start to ‘flash’
After about 25 of those final 50 miles. Then you have 20-25 miles before the tank runs dry. You may of run your own tests full to completely empty by now. But if not, I thought I’d just give you some idea of my tests.
I did my test over a two day trip and I was accompanied by my buddy on his Honda Scooter who witnessed the whole thing.
My monkey did 174.8 miles in total from full to the brim to spluttered stop. So the ‘safe’ line for me is comfortably 150 miles to a full tank.
Regards from across the pond.
Dazza. 🇬🇧
Really like all your videos and your vibe. How do you like the Monkey compared to the Honda Trail?
Thank you so much! Both are excellent bikes, but I do prefer one more than the other. Video coming on that soon! Haven't filmed it yet, but will soon!!
Nice...
How many KG's can that rack on the back hold? Thinking of buying one of these bikes .. awesome video btw
Just found your channel. What a great video. Well, I'm a german guy and thinking of riding through the western part of the states in 2024. Just where you've been. My question is: is there a chance to let a bike like the Honda Monkey for 3 month overthere. I dont want these heavy bikes like the Harleys or something.Best wishes from Germany
Cool video! What kind of mirror extenders are those?
I did a video on them. Got them on Amazon!
@@jiujitsu2000 great thanks! EDIT: Every time I ride my Monkey I think about those and put it off because of the price on other websites, $40 or something crazy. $11.99 on Amazon! Thanks again.
@@armadilllo you're welcome!
👍👏👏👏
some view. 👍👍
thats why there are laws whether one follows them or were to enforce them is another thing...
Thanks for the video. Why did you choose the Monkey instead of a less expensive Grom or Trail 125? I noticed that you didn't complain about discomfort with the seat at any time. Was it always comfortable?
Thank you, the monkey seat is fantastic
I'm getting my 2023 Monkey delivered tomorrow, can't wait! Awesome video, I noticed that you're not putting premium gas in your Monkey... Any reason why?
Excellent I think you're going to love your monkey they're awesome. Thank you for the support that you give my channel I really appreciate it. I don't put premium in any of my motorcycles and there's not really a particular reason I just don't do it.
@@jiujitsu2000 alright thanks for the reply 🙂
@@Benzin0 anytime! Blessings from Arizona
The Hondas don’t require premium. But I put it in my Monkey about every other tank.
@@dougB4454 I have switched to regular gas on my Monkey and I did not notice any change in performance so it's gonna stay like that ;)
I didnt know you were allowed to go on the highway with a 125cc mini moto?! ----It's illegal here in California for us mini-moto's! :(
In Arizona we can go on highways, but not interstates. If I remember correctly interstates require at least 250cc... don't quote me on that though. I saw a guy in new mexico a few weeks ago on the interstate on a Honda navi... 125cc... I'm pretty sure that's illegal... lol
@@jiujitsu2000 riding a navi on a regular road is already illegal!! Lmaooooo great video btw and cheers from. San Jose, CA!
@@ThongNguyen-so5ut i got a video of him too!!
You "always look in the mirrors"?......not those mirrors.....they are useless! How far is the nearest gas station from the Canyon? That bike has a one gallon tank right?
