Why a 2JZ Engine ?
2JZ is a favorite and I do not regret my choice because my 2JZ has a story. My 1st 2JZ was given to Daigo Saito during the King of Europe Event @ Circuit Parcmotor Castelloli (Spain) because he broke his engine.
When I gave to Daigo Saito my engine. It wasn't mounted yet so it wasn't a problem and I didn't hesitate to give it to him :D it would have been a huge mistake not to do.
And later Wise Square gave me another 2JZ to complete my S13, so what else ? lol

The engine bay cam was genius. I always imagined how much things moved around in there while driving not just dyno runs
So here I am watching a video 5 years later that sparked my love for cars as a 12 year old kid in school. I've gotta say even with my little understanding of cars back then, I can understand why I watched this video over and over on my iPad. Here I am back today, after stumbling over this video, now drooling over this s13 once again.
2jz= by far best sounding engine on high rpm!
the rx7's 13b rotary engine has a pretty sexy redline too.

my ka that burns a quart 20w50 in under a hundred miles.
Dude he is doing throttle control to keep maximum angle without losing control. Throttle Control is huge. If you just held a burnout and kept his burnout going into 2nd gear and just took off he would leave streaks of rubber x3 as long as your "KA" claims to do!

Why would you put "KA" in quotations? You understand that his car came with a ka24e? It's not slang, it's what it is. Now he has a toyota engine.
How would one keep a burnout going to second gear, with a manual transmission? I mean, you could pop the clutch, if you really hate your tires - but you can't just mash it and wait for second. Additionally, I'm not sure WHY you WOULD, but, since it's YOUR fantasy we're discussing.... sure, you're right, his 2j would rape my ka, and would leave longer "streaks" to prove it.
No shit, I quoted the "KA" because he thinks his fucking ka24e (SOHC) or ka24de (DOHC) which ever he has can out smoke a 2jz through a corner of a drift! Not only does the wind carry it but you need throttle control and not just romping onto the throttle leaving the biggest smoke trail possible behind you. You can leaving a shit ton if you want to but this guy wasn't doing that in the video.
Now simply understand I'm not trying to say keep a constant burnout through all the way to 2nd. I'm saying you take off and going into second he would still be leaving streaks to prove it. I know I may have not worded it right but damn man just cool the RUclips jets.

When you say a motor smokes..... bearing in mind that I'm not a drifter.... you generally mean it smokes out the exhaust ie. that it burns an excessive amount of oil, or is poorly set up/tuned, if it makes so much smoke on a little rev like in the beginning.
My point was, his motor smokes. (I was being colorful to say it's like my KA, it's nothing like my KA, clearly, which is in horrible health)
Oh wow I actually feel dumb now I didn't notice the "20w50" or in other words oil. I thought you meant out smoke the car with rubber itself. My dumbass just skipped the oil part.

2jz's are pretty sought after engines. A lot of 240s are running them.
So are RB26, and RB25. All good engines, just rather see a Nissan engine in it.

imo its better 2jz or RB25-26, than some LS7...

Hey man dont be hatin on the LS7. A dude in Formula Drift is running an LS7 in a Nissan 350z. Yes the 2JZ or RB engines are great engines but dont be hatin on the LS7.

im all about Nissans s13 s14's and by fat this is the nicest setup I've seen it has such a clean sound such a smooth ride as far as I see how much the camera shakes

All i was doing was watching ricer vids now this its like a fresh breath of air and a nice new take on a 240sx s13
I apologize if someone has pointed this out already, I haven't read all the comments but at 1:22 you can see the stainless steel line rubbing on the IC coupler. It's been my experience that those SS lines are brutal and will rub through anything they touch. Hopefully this hasn't already happened to you but a blown coupler isn't the worst thing that can happen track side! Great video (even with the cheesy east-side pose!)

Okay just putting a 1jz or 1.5jz (Tuerck'd) or 2jz in a 240sx is just going to be amazing period. But my good sir this things is beyond insane. Like one day I want a daily to look like this but also want a track car like this. She is so clean and so beast like! Love it man clean work and amazing job!

I would love to swap a 2JZ into my original '85 AE86 GT-S, if it weren't in such pristine condition (263K miles on the original drive train,paint & interior). Maybe I can pick up an unmolested SR5 Corolla and play with that instead of my classic.
BTW, the JDM lights are a nice touch too.

It sounds amazing! i love the SR20DET but the 2JZ-GTE is imo one of my lifetime fav! The sound and the durability is superior for a 15 year old engine design! the RB26DETT is not bad! they share the same spot in my heart!
