I did not think the prices were that bad. A big mac where I live is $6.39 so a hotdog with a lot of stuff on it for a little over $4 is not that bad. Not a bargain but not expensive. FYI WV dog: Chili Sauce, Mustard, Onions and Cole Slaw. $4.10. I agree a slaw dog should be finely cut slaw similar to what they have at KFC. Slaw dogs are popular here in Tennessee.
Hey, just because a place is well known, maybe even "legendary" doesn't mean its GOOD. Many years ago when I lived in Atlanta I went to The Varsity... been there for generations.... people love it. I personally thought the food was mediocre at best.😂
I live near that place. Unfortunately once you get past the nostalgia of the place. There really ain't much left than the name. To me for my money and tast. The best hotdogs in the tri-state are at midway drive in. Great buch of people really good food at a reasonable price. And the hot dog sauce actually has real meat in it. That you can actually see and tast. Not like that other place that has completely gone down the drain.
I love Midway, too! Their burgers are awesome, too. Plus, they have crinkled fries. It's my favorite kind of fry. I stop when I'm down that way. They're always busy. That says a lot when the parking lot is packed. I'm still a Stewart's fan. They're not what they used to be either, but I still like them.

Two people eating under $20 is pretty fair as to where we are on the road to hyperinflation.
