This will sound weird, but I'm so spoiled from last year's room that this felt like a bit of a disappointment :D But you did such great job of making it feel homely, Paige. I like the fire place, and the bed seems really big. I'd definitely recommend hanging some photos on a string or string lights! Also, it would be cool to decorate the sloped walls somehow, at least the one above the bed.
Not a bad room despite the few defects. I think it's just hard to compare it to your previous rooms as they were both really amazing. Entirely irrelevant but I think you parked your bike next to mine today at West Cambridge😱
A lot of the Cambridge colleges have like a lottery system where u get good accommodations depending on when ur selected but some is done like academically so if u get good grads u get better choice of living. Idk of Jesus do it but a lot of them do I know as it happend to my brother
@@Bella-xd5ke yeah we do it on a ballot system!! so if you get a phat room in one year you're at the bottom of the ballot for the next year, some colleges do it on grades but normally its just by luck of the draw which then carries forward to the next year
I am starting my 3rd year on this week at the Technion university in Israel! I am watching your videos for over a year and I little bit feel like we went through university together ... I hear your struggles and they were my struggles too! I just love your channel, Paige. Please know that you are being herded all over the world.. And if I will be honest with myself, your videos are one of the reasons that I didn't give up on myself even when things got hard. I don't know whether it's your optimistic smile or it's your amazing energy that radiates through the screen but... Paige, I like you. Thank you so much for the content!
The most important thing is the coziness of the room!! Doesn't matter if the storage is the best or if you have enough room to host a whole ball in there, if it's not homey you won't feel good. And you did find solutions for your overflow of clothes so that's settled. The worst part is going from an en-suite to a shared bathroom. My sincere regret, I hope you'll get through it xx
Hey Paige, some ideas for making your room more cosy and liveable: Decorate the area around the mirror, for example with some fairylights. Put some storage boxes under the bed - you can reach them easily there. And knobs for drawers are very easy to replace. You could buy some cheap ones, but they would also make the room look more artsy or modern, depending on the style. My room is also only 9 m² big, but it can fit everything and still look nice.
I can't believe it! It's been a year since i follow you and your vlogs😊. Can i just say that you are one of the reasons why i survived my first year in college. Thank you 😘
Well some ideas came to my mind... you can put the bedside table at the end of the bed and you can also turn your sleeping position the other way around, buy some plastic containers for under the bed and perhaps 1 or 2 plastic drawers. This way you may organize everything. And for bath things, you can use a tray made of plastic for cleaning supplies. Just some ideas, it is also ok if you do not change anything. This room looks cosy and cute as it is 😄 I hope you will have a faboulous and productive academic year. Take good care of you 😊
Second, third, and fourth year students choose their rooms in an order determined by a ballot which is run by Jesus College Students’ Union (JCSU), taking into account individual preferences for price and location. The following year, the order of the ballot is reversed. may explain why its not as good
It's a spacious room, and I love the sloping ceilings and fireplace. You should get the missing knob on the dresser replaced. And you could buy a small amount of paint to go over the chips in the walls. And maybe buy a small area rug or two. As for the shared bathroom, you'll get used to that pretty fast. I had to share a bathroom for all four years, and I had to share a dorm room, too. That's common in the U.S. For me, it would have been a luxury to have a private bedroom, especially one with so much floor space. Hope you have a great 3rd year.
I'm grateful for being able to live with my parents while studying at university. Of course, living on campus is amazing. I wish I could chat with my friends in the evening or go out with them spontaneously. Those are really amazing benefits. But I just really like having my own room with my own furniture. I guess everything has its Pros and Cons. But you definitely made the most of what you have and I, as always, love your notice board. Mine is like super small. 😭
Ikea and H&M Home have great, reasonably priced bedding! You could also look at getting some inexpensive storage (drawers or boxes) for your extra clothes and cheap cute rugs to cover your carpet (I’m horrified they don’t steam clean those carpet stains before new students move in), as you could always take these items to your next flat after you finish uni, or sell them on gumtree at the end of the year to students staying on at your college or uni. Your room is a great space, I like the sloping ceiling too, and it’s special to share your final year living with friends ☺️
You could get under-bed drawers, replacement handles and plastic flowers cheaply from Ikea. As you like the notice board, you could buy another one and attach it to the bare wall by your bed. As the room will be refurbished, facilities probably won't mind...
Funny how I live with my parents and now I'm in 2nd year of uni cuz my college is 2 km from my home so I don't need to watch these kind of videos but if Paige uploads something I can't control myself 😅
this is so cool for me! right now, im in my elementary school cambridge class, so its so cool for me to see how people stay in Cambridge University, since its my dream to go there!
Finally!!! A room tour ❤️ love your room paige!!! Though i’m used at seeing your 2nd yr room 😆 and also! I miss your friends! Are you still with them this year??? I hope to see them in you upcoming vlogs! ☺️ goodluck in year 3!
Just a thought...don't have anything in front of radiator...top floor rooms can get cold! Also some fabric wall hangings,a few plants, a rug or two and loads of fairy lights will transform the room! Enjoy 3rd year...enjoy every minute!😄
hey, cool bedding and general homeware recommendation is for Asda believe it or not. All of their ranges seem to relate to eachother in really stylistic ways so I dont think youd be short of inspo if you visited a larger store. Best of luck for this year!! x
Hello Paige, thank you for the tour; you've made your room look very cozy. What you could do for your floor is to get an economical area rug that you can donate or give away at the end of your school year. It can serve to anchor your color scheme and up the hygge factor. I'm across the pond, but I think a Primark level store might be your best bet, or a thrift shop, but I would be very vigilant about checking for bedbugs if I went that route.
Hi Paige! Your new room looks amazing! Really looking forward to your 3rd vlogs and your band experience too! I was from band too (I played the trumpet, along with french horn and trombone for a couple of years before making the switch), so I'm really looking forward to that!! Good luck on your 3rd year! I'm sure you'll do splendidly!:)
redbubble and society6 both have really nice beddings, they tend to be a little pricey because the artist of the bedding design can choose how much mark up they want from the base price. that being said, the designs are all amazing and u should definitely check them out!
Your room last year was amazing !! I feel I should write a letter to Cambridge, to say that you should have that room back !! Though I do like that you've made it feel comfortable and homely !! Not to mention your door stop is cute af !!
For bedding I’d recommend Primark for cute affordable bedding! Also George in ASDA (look on their website if not one near you) have cute bedding too ☺️
Welcome Back Paige! I like your cozy room! First time I've ever heard the term "desky bits" ! You're too cute :) have a wonderful weekend and look forward to your updates!! :)
Hi Paige, do you think staying up late for revision before the exam in uni would be a good idea? Although I found it I would be less energetic after staying up late, the time for revision is always not enough for me.
Maybe you can blu-tack your rest over photos on the sloping ceiling above your bed. That way you cover up the blemishes and also make use of that space.
Dear Paige, last time I said I was in favor of a minimalist life. But your new room seems like a Franciscan cell to me. Question: but the university has no money to repair that floor?
Just realized your new room doesn't have a full body mirror, I would totally miss that😂😂 Btw, can u do a laundry segment with Yi Jer, cus i really want to know how a Malaysian can survive through the winter in Cambridge!! The snow looks horrible to me💀💀 And also, I curious about what other clubs your friends are joining because your boat club seems very fun🤗🤗 Can u make a video about that? (If they're willing to share)
If your uni staff had been clever enough, they would have known that you are a "vip" and that your videos are ACTUAL ADVERTISEMENT for their uni. So they should have given you a better room to show. I do not get it. Sorry for the English. 🐈
I don’t think Paige would’ve loved that though...since if the Uni staff favoured her, her college experience would not have been truly what Cambridge has to offer
@lol I totally get what you mean - and I agree. But Paige is such an ambitous/good student, she at least derseves a huuuuge table/desk to work properly.
For me it's more like, she's in her third year now. I feel like third year students should get the better rooms if you know what I mean. Like... you have to work up to get a nice room :D
It’s just the Jesus ballot system! You get a given a ranking in second year on how good your room is, and then they flip it for third year. So if you get a great room in second year, it’ll probably be a bit rubbish the following, and vice versa :)
Try wayfair.co.uk - they have a great range of home and bedding items to pick from! Ps the room is different but it means you can get your creative juices flowing! Fill the walls with art or photos! Fairy lights, little trinkets are the way forward! Best wishes xx
I feel so sorry for you. I can understand that you're missing your old room.
8:49 "And those are the tissues I used to wipe away my tears after comparing this room to the last year room" 😂😂
Last time I was this early, Paige was still a first year
Can't believe it's her final year in Cambridge nowwwww 😭
This will sound weird, but I'm so spoiled from last year's room that this felt like a bit of a disappointment :D
But you did such great job of making it feel homely, Paige. I like the fire place, and the bed seems really big. I'd definitely recommend hanging some photos on a string or string lights! Also, it would be cool to decorate the sloped walls somehow, at least the one above the bed.
That is nice and the right way - to focus on the positive things 🍁🦊 And you are right, this room has the capacy to personalize it/make it really cosy.
Not a bad room despite the few defects. I think it's just hard to compare it to your previous rooms as they were both really amazing.
Entirely irrelevant but I think you parked your bike next to mine today at West Cambridge😱
Shouldn't they give better rooms for 3rd year students.
I agree, besides Paige is one of the best students in one of the most prestigious universities in the world !
A lot of the Cambridge colleges have like a lottery system where u get good accommodations depending on when ur selected but some is done like academically so if u get good grads u get better choice of living. Idk of Jesus do it but a lot of them do I know as it happend to my brother
Jean Yves Trillat most universities only give accommodation to first years so she’s lucky lol
@@Bella-xd5ke yeah we do it on a ballot system!! so if you get a phat room in one year you're at the bottom of the ballot for the next year, some colleges do it on grades but normally its just by luck of the draw which then carries forward to the next year
i fact far better than indian once

Paige: "cool young people"
Also Paige: *is a third year and has college grandchildren*
I can't believe it! It's been a year since i follow you and your vlogs😊. Can i just say that you are one of the reasons why i survived my first year in college. Thank you 😘
I prefer the second year room that’s literally my goal
"So yeah... a door!" OMG! I love that! :D
A very unique and exciting feature of the room
Ooh, that fireplace and the sloping ceiling makes it look like an Anne of Green Gables room! Love your positivity - you'll make it work!
Well some ideas came to my mind... you can put the bedside table at the end of the bed and you can also turn your sleeping position the other way around, buy some plastic containers for under the bed and perhaps 1 or 2 plastic drawers. primark bedding is so good! they have lots of 'modern' designs and affordable prices too!
Didn't you also mention you do not have to move out during vacations? That seems to be a plus.
Second, third, and fourth year students choose their rooms in an order determined by a ballot which is run by Jesus College Students’ Union (JCSU), taking into account individual preferences for price and location. The following year, the order of the ballot is reversed.
may explain why its not as good
I’ve just posted off all of the supplementary forms for my application!
Good luck to everyone applying!
Pi V I sent off my UCAS application today, good luck!! 🤞🏻
How’d you do? (If you don’t mind answering)

You should look up some Marie Kondo folding techniques to optimize your drawer space- that pants/trousers drawer has potential!
I am African and I will be going to study in Europe next year. I will be vlogging the journey thanks to this channel.
Yesss queen! 💝💝 You look stunning 🥺♥️
for good bedding you should look at h&m home. they have really great bedding!
Love your new video! Your uni room is a lot better than mine! And I play clarinet, too! Looking forward to some clarinet videos!

Primark do lots of good bedding sets with cool patterns and are also generally quite reasonably priced as well😊
Finally I see you again , so happy to see this the new video ❤❤❤❤

I think this room looks a lot like Lydia's UCL room...
you've done a great decorating job! u could maybe put a fluffy white rug in, and some fairy lights, to make it more cosy💞
You do put so much effort into making your room look amazing!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Yaaay new video! All the best with 3rd year!
I’m Glad I stayed up for this

Thank you so much for uploading frequently!! That must be a lot for you but I love your vlogs soo much
B&M bedding is amazing! I got a nice crushed velvet pink one and matching pillows! Xx
Your room last year was amazing !! I feel I should write a letter to Cambridge, to say that you should have that room back !! Though I do like that you've made it feel comfortable and homely !! Not to mention your door stop is cute af !!
I guess they cannot kick the person out who lives there now.

Hello Paigeeeeee, just found out your channel and your videos really motivate me!!! thank you so much😚😚😚

Please do more day in the life videos u haves really few of those but they are soooo good
Yayyy!, finally, I’ve been waiting for this. Greetings from Turkey 🇹🇷💕💕
A great way to get rid of those carpet stains is to...buy a rug.
Try the new H&M home in The Grafton Centre, lots of cool bedding in there.
I think you might wanna look into Marie Kondo's methods of folding&storing clothes - it could help with the limited storage space :D
nice blue carpet and good spaces to put all your stuff
Next always do good quality bedding which washes and irons well and lasts for ages
You've done a good job with the space you've got!
I feel so sorry for you, that room is shocking quality xx
Are you allowed to move things around? You could move your bed or desk around to make use of the space more? Just a thought x
I also lived in a dorm room with just a sink and no toilet/ shower. After some time you get used to it😀
Urban Outfitters is a good place to get cool bedcovers
yas another uni year love ur u and ur vlogs

Dear Paige, last time I said I was in favor of a minimalist life. But your new room seems like a Franciscan cell to me. Question: but the university has no money to repair that floor?
I love your vlogs sm xxx
As always, ready to enjoy your adventures.!
try h&m home, the bedding from there is really cool and modern :3
I personally like the bedding in Urban Outfitters and Muji, they are comfy and nice looking I think?
Urban outfitters has lovely bedding!!
IKEA bedding is the best!
I find Asda/George do really nice patterned bedding and it's not too expensive either!
Omg where is that dark fluffy teddy jacket/coat from!? It’s gorgeous😍
I miss your 2nd year room paigey!!!!
Next and Dunelm are really great for bedding! x
bought my bedding from zara and h&m home. Next and urban outfitters have really nice bedding as well
Out of curiosity is the 166 on your notice boards your race number from the Cambridge and Oxford race?
Just realized your new room doesn't have a full body mirror, I would totally miss that😂😂
Btw, can u do a laundry segment with Yi Jer, cus i really want to know how a Malaysian can survive through the winter in Cambridge!! The snow looks horrible to me💀💀

Be sure to take pictures of the chips in the wall and the stains!! Get your deposit back :)
You're so cool, I'm from Russia and I want studying in Cambridge
Omg you play the clarinet?! ME TOO😍🎶
Try wayfair.co.uk - they have a great range of home and bedding items to pick from! Ps the room is different but it means you can get your creative juices flowing! Fill the walls with art or photos! Fairy lights, little trinkets are the way forward! Best wishes xx
Hi Paige, which polaroid camera style No ,did you have?
Ikea is the best for bedding! You’re bound to find something you like
