Booming in my distant memory is my stern fathers voice saying " if you dont study harder you will be digging ditches all of your life !" well I have to go now and clean my shovel ready for foundations tomorrow morning at 630 am.
Its all beauty, etc. But I wouldn't trade my circumnavigating 38' ketch experience. 5 knots, 100 mi. in a day....good enough. These A Class mono-hull vessels are more beautiful than the high tech trimarans of today!, as exciting as they are racing about a course.
What motivates them? You must not be a sailor because what motivates is the wind in your face, the salty mist in the air, the race to the finish! This video is about the beauty, the grace and the power of this magnificent lady named Marie! She took my breath away, covered me with chill bumps and moved me to tears!
Klassieke lijnen, oude meesters haal je zo uit de scheepsromp.wat perfect is hoef je niet te veranderen. Materialen veranderen .dat evalueert. Goed dat er nog wat muntjes zijn .
I count 35 crew-members, so this boat is one hell of shit to sail only 10/18 knts. Looks like mediaeval times in a very expensive and contemporary jacket. Brrrr...Looks nice and beautifull, but it isn't.
that boat - after so much investment - looks ugly - and looks like it does not function well at all. Look at those little platform that jut out from the side to a crew member can see over the side.
brilliant example of team work...and of course a masterpiece of beauty ;)
And the crew runs like clockwork. Absolute perfection !
Do you expect anything less from a person who perfected algorithms for high-frequency trading.
they all look overweight in anycase, so not too bothered for them ...
I would have loved to see the cabins and heads, must be gorgeous!
watched her race off Virgin Gorda Twice, what a joy to behold. Might have seen Mr. Richard Branson, aboard at the dock in Biras Creek.

That's just beautiful. I have started saving for something like it. I am stashing away $100 a month. I will be ready to buy in 30 to 40,000 years.
And even then you won't be able to pay the running costs.
Don't stomp on my dreams. lol ;)
Sorry, that was not my intention :-)
Get your pen out and write to Santa!
Que bueno para loa ojos ver una maravilla navegando así,que buen momento han disfrutado, felicitaciones.

Beautiful. 'Nuff said.
Nice film, shame I've learnt nothing about the boat, the owner/skipper and what motivates these sailors.
