I've been an okay Soldier player for a while, just dabbling here and there. My aim is quite good, so I couldn't understand why I wasn't really getting anywhere. I watched this video and discovered that my main issue was my positioning. I then went right into the game with a "stay at mid range, seek high ground" mentality, and just immediately started wrecking the enemy team in ways I have never been able to before. Even managed to kill the entire enemy team twice in one match by coordinating visor with Kiriko ult. Thank you!

You are 100% correct, jumping makes it easier in certain situations to aim but also makes it easier for the other dps to hit you. You def don't wanna do it against characters like Ashe and Widow a lot it's probably one of my worst traits
Also soldier visor doesn't take full control of your aim, you can hit headshots if you aim for the head, even if its aimbot don't just turn your brain off and shoot you should still aim for the head

Hey I play 76 and recently I feel like I am in elo hell for some reason. I average 38% weapon accuray and I 7/10 get most damge in game and have good util managment but from some reason I cant go to the next level its weird any tips anyone?
When I chased these numbers like damage or weapon accuracy I found that it forced some bad habits - I would rather shoot at tanks as they are easier to hit for more damage and to pad up accuracy. I therefore missed opportunities to make some flanks or pressure enemy healers. It may take several seconds to reposition and you will hit only 20% bullets on that pesky Mercy - and you may not even kill her as she flies around. But if you pressure her out of combat you do immensely more compared to shooting at Reinhardt as he is constantly healed by said Mercy from behind and actually pushing the payload. In the first scenario you maybe did 150 damage in 15 seconds with low accuracy compared to second scenario with 800 damage with high accuracy. Now there are times where engaging in these types of fights is good - especially in defense or if you are the one pushing payload. You can pressure tanks and forcing supports to tunnel vision making them more vulnerable to your teammate diving them. But it is just one tool in the toolkit. Do not overestimate stats.
@@MetroOW I just find aim trainers incredibly boring😭😭, do you reckon it’s possible to achieve your level of aim without them? Ty for the fast response!
your tracking looks damn nice in some situations :P recently tried overwatch again, but i just cant do it anymore haha used to be mediocre at least on soldier, now i am just shit haha, too old, too bad, not used to play shooters infront of my 48" lg oled :D in arpgs and mmos np, in shooters i am not used to it (yet?) :D
One thing u didnt mention (iirc) is that you cannot hit headshots in ur ult, it will always body shot, therefore, you dont always want to pop visor when u get nano'd for instance, because w/o the visor u can kill a tank fast due to headshots. Besides that, very good Guide, thanks a ton!
Another tip for soldier's ultimate: when possible, activate soldier ult away from enemy sightlines and wait a second before engaging. This makes it more difficult for enemies to see where your're coming from during the 1 second ult activation time.
thats just stupid, the rigth way to use the ult is flanking or shooting with the loaded rifle and before the ammo drops to 0 throw the ult and finish the enemies
@Carlos González you thinking that flanking in every situation is the only way to use this ult is stupid you tard. Dunno why you're commenting when you only live to hear half of your hero's ult voice line before getting dropped.
Jumping every 1 second is definitely not how to play soldier. One should first fix the apparent weaknesses in thier gameplay before giving people advice.
there is no point practising aim in a hypermobility game with healers. AIm training works for csgo when if you have line of sight, aim will make a huge difference in who gets the accurate shot off first

Did you get this level of aim from playing in game or did you use external aim trainers?? Good video btw!
Mostly ingame, some aim training but 90% playing the game! Thanks man. :)
@@MetroOW I just find aim trainers incredibly boring😭😭, do you reckon it’s possible to achieve your level of aim without them? Ty for the fast response!
@@Outpostbeta Yes 100% u can do it without aim trainers
I got 30 eliminated and 8.5k damage after watching this
how can i get the mode ?
Private lessons?
Not doing any atm, might in the future but too busy. Can always come by on stream to ask any questions though!
map codes?
All in the new aim guide Video (releasing today)
why is ur ping so high is that normal , ?
I play on NA from Europe, so yea 120 is around normal for that, a bit of a handicap but works :)
is metro quitting? i was in his stream and he said he might quit :(
hopefully
He always blaming everybody when he dies lol ither than that not bad
Me and my mate use baptiste and soldier ult together. Double dmg
your tracking looks damn nice in some situations :P
recently tried overwatch again, but i just cant do it anymore haha
used to be mediocre at least on soldier, now i am just shit haha, too old, too bad, not used to play shooters infront of my 48" lg oled :D
in arpgs and mmos np, in shooters i am not used to it (yet?) :D
time to practice, age does not matter (it does but only to an extend practice can overcome it) :)
what is that ping
I play on NA from EU, it's not that bad, you should give it a try :)
@@MetroOW now I will
Bro don’t even need the ultimate 💀
One thing u didnt mention (iirc) is that you cannot hit headshots in ur ult, it will always body shot, therefore, you dont always want to pop visor when u get nano'd for instance, because w/o the visor u can kill a tank fast due to headshots.
Besides that, very good Guide, thanks a ton!
actually you can now in OW2
@@AlexDerrEchte LULW .. nvm me then.
Nah that's changed, you do more damage aiming at head
You can now, which means your going to get a lot more reward for actually aiming while visoring rather than monke see monke shoot
I find it funny that soldier is seen as the simple cod character yet he’s probably most complex then half the other dps characters .
alright bro…
@@nooptiui alright sis ….
i use him to flank
Why would you play soldier tho
Another tip for soldier's ultimate: when possible, activate soldier ult away from enemy sightlines and wait a second before engaging. This makes it more difficult for enemies to see where your're coming from during the 1 second ult activation time.
thats just stupid, the rigth way to use the ult is flanking or shooting with the loaded rifle and before the ammo drops to 0 throw the ult and finish the enemies
@Carlos González depends on the situation. If you do this, you become everyone's target before the ult is ready
@@Canteaus thats just stupid i already told ya my guy
@Carlos González you thinking that flanking in every situation is the only way to use this ult is stupid you tard. Dunno why you're commenting when you only live to hear half of your hero's ult voice line before getting dropped.
@@Canteaus no nigga
pog
7:30 screamer💀
And this sounds offensive😠
how no recoil
practice
Jumping every 1 second is definitely not how to play soldier. One should first fix the apparent weaknesses in thier gameplay before giving people advice.
there is no point practising aim in a hypermobility game with healers. AIm training works for csgo when if you have line of sight, aim will make a huge difference in who gets the accurate shot off first
AIM MOST INPORTANT Xd
T500? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
you have 5000 hours on soldier and still dont know how to do the high level shit??? ill teach you a secret move. but you gotta pay me some. i dont teach everyone my secret. i can teach you 2 secrets.
kekw
When do stream ?
My schedule is all over the place atm, should be live later today!
