Wow I just have to state this Somehow the timing and drop of this video with the timing in my life is astounding. For the first time when I got home last night I noticed something on a few of my orchids, that definitely didn't seem to be on any of those ones before. almost like a Blister/or Scale maybe? I really didn't think it was scale but at the same time, I was perplexed.. but mostly see through with a brownish tinger maybe. It's just so cool that I'm going to have an answer first thing this morning, or at least an answer to whether any of them are Hydathodes. How did you know I needed this lesson?! You're awesome
😍woohoo!! Love hearing that timing coincided with questions!! Thank you for letting me know 🙏🏼 well, I did not know that you needed this lesson, but I felt a need to take my mind out of the gravity of the situation here so I went to my notes of 2017 and revamped them to make this video. Mine occasionally but not often specially growing indoors but they are happy seem to be growing very well at the moment cold weather coming in next week so we should have to watch taking my plants out of the window at night and putting them on the table and then put them back in the morningYou sound very happy. Glad to hear you again. Nice to see you. I hope your plants are doing well for you.❤❤❤
Hi Andrea 😍💐 I appreciate you, so much! Thank YOU so much for watching, lovely lady 🫶🏼I hope you are having a cozy weekend ahead of the colder weather. My plants are neglected because there is so much to do, while there is daylight. I have lost more orchids, but am not able to cope with filming that atm. My brain is able to comprehend the past weeks and I am struggling with dealing with orchids that I lost. It seems so trivial to even talk about them, considering other things that are much more drastic. I am trying to do well, but not successful at that at the moment either. Its like the world has come to a standstill in my head. Thankfully, it is a sunny day today, so the laundry is drying. Trivial as well, but I am grasping at straws. Anything positive, I am trying to hold on to that and keep things moving. Hopefully, one day I will be able to function properly again. Thank you so much for watching, Andrea! Hi Joe 😍💐 some orchids have a different way of purposely attracting ants because they work in harmony with the orchid. Shelter for the ants, and nutrients for the orchid. However, the happy sap produced for the purposes of attracting ants, per se, no. Even some have said that the orchid produces happy sap to attract pollinators. Which... only when there is happy sap while the orchid is in bloom. An orchid with happy sap on a new growth or spike that is not in bloom, I doubt very much there is a relation to happy sap and pollinators. So do we take the guttation off or leave it on? If we leave it on is there any positive things for the plant? If negative what happens I have 2 orchids that do this allot I always wipe it off!
😍HI! 💐 in your climate, there is no need to remove it, unless you are getting too many ants. Usually the rain will wash it away. IF temperatures were to drop, with high humidity, then it is best to wipe the sap off in order to avoid fungi or bacteria from getting a hold. There is nothing negative if you were to remove the sap. Its a personal preference if the conditions are right, and if the temperatures drop a little too much and it is wiped away, then there is nothing wrong with that. 👍🏼 the positive for the plant is only what liquid stays inside the plant. Once the sap is out, it serves no purpose to the plant. 🫶🏼 thank you so much for taking time to watch and for your comment! I appreciate your support. Hope that you are having a great day already ❤️🌸

@NinjaOrchids Nina,💜🩵 Thank you very much! We are recovering here from a very early severe blizzard.🥶 Much of the snow has melted here. But it's still sticking around in the shady areas, foothils, and higher elevations. At least the highways and local roads are open again. Bless you sweetheart 😘 I hope the rest of your week is happy. Stay safe and dry!💜🩷🩵 Hugs & prayers, Sherrii🙏🙏🙏
In hindsight.... the week was not exactly happy, BUT we are still here and the power came back on today. Its full on laundry day 🧺 and the sun is somewhat helping to dry things out, along with a good breeze. Now that I have power back, I don't feel as though I am just stuck with doing one thing. Grateful! I hope you are staying warm, that you are already having a beautiful day when you get around to reading this ❤️ thank you, for everything 🌸🥷🏼Gran Amiga San! Thank you 🙏🏼❤️🌸
@NinjaOrchids Nina, So good to hear from you! I'm so glad you made it through the flooding again🌊 and have your power back on.⚡️ I hope your orchids and everything else precious to you survived unharmed.🙏 God bless you, my dear friend!❤️ Lots of love, Sherrii 💚💜💛❤️

Stay safe and dry!💜🩷🩵
Hugs & prayers, Sherrii🙏🙏🙏
I'm so glad you made it through the flooding again🌊 and have your power back on.⚡️ I hope your orchids and everything else precious to you survived unharmed.🙏
God bless you, my dear friend!❤️
Lots of love, Sherrii 💚💜💛❤️
