Patti you bring tears more times than any other, I so needed this today. Be who you are....I have always been a little outside the box. I love dressing up, wearing makeup, colouring my hair and I wish I had a penny every time I've heard about high maintenance women and how oh you should just go natural. Why!!! I never tell someone they should colour their hair, or how to dress. Why do people think it's OK to tell me. I have a wonderful husband and I always want him to be proud of me, but more than that I want to be proud of me. So again thank you for sharing and being so kind. ❤ You are like a good book, I just hate the video to end.
Dianne, I am 73 and have always loved dressing up as you do, wearing make up and always looking the best I can regardless of what I am doing.. Don't color my hair anymore (It actually looks good white). I don't consider myself high maintenance. My grandmother and aunt both did the same thing. People comment because they are jealous and too lazy to take care of themselves. It is call taking pride in yourself. Don't ever let anyone change you.
Me too honey I am 70 love coloring my hair wear makeup love fashion & high heels I do not care when they tell me I am high maintenance so what if I am I worked hard for 50 years & it is time to enjoy the remaining years in my life God bless you ❤️🙏
For the last 15 years I've been an in-home care provider for first my Father-In-Law, then my Father, then my Mother-In-Law, and lastly my mother. Having my focus all on them I found myself in a bit of a rabbit hole, not caring much what I looked like. Trying to get myself out of the rut of navy and black, and start wearing some make up and get some lost self confidence back. You've helped me so much with different ideas about dress, hair, makeup and just being a lady again. Thanks Patti! Your words are always laced with kindness and inspire me that I can do better! You're such a lovely presence on RUclips. Blessings to you and your family!
Patti, this was such a lovely, beautiful chat! Thank you so much for sharing. I have been almost bed bound for 18 years, after a bad fall down my porch concrete steps. Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue have become more severe since that fall, and I have spinal stenosis, and joint deterioration. Have had rotator cuff repair on right shoulder and a complete joint replacement on my left knee and left shoulder. This year I had cataract surgery. Well, the fall was in July of 2003, and my oldest son died suddenly in April of 2007 of pneumonia, less than two months before my youngest son graduated from med school. My laptop kept me connected to the world during those years when I hardly left home. Putting on clothes was painful, wearing them was painful, taking them off was painful, so after a lifetime of dressing well, and a career in skincare, I gave that all up. Meanwhile, we were spending half time in Key West, and half time at our home in Tennessee. In 2009, through reconnecting with my childhood friends in Canada over Facebook, one encouraged me in papercrafting, and I think it saved my life! I do it while lying on my stomach on the bed, and started watercolor and acrylic painting a few years later. Interestingly, lately I have felt a bit more normal physically, and less pain after sleeping under a weighted blanket! I am on tons of meds for different issues and found myself needing less pain meds. Now I have put on makeup a few times, and bought a few clothes that are loose and comfortable. So, your talk today was just what I needed at just the right time. So I thank you. Keep up your important work of encouragement. I look forward to it every week. Love and hugs. Daphne💟😍
Bless you! What a challenging time! I’m so glad you found paper crafting and water color.. I think it’s so amazing when people discover gifts and talents later in life. I can no imagine losing a child and all the pain you must have endured both physically and emotionally. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you continue to heal and that you continue to find ways to enjoy life. This makes me appreciate all that I have. Take care!
Hello, our stories have several similarities. S ending you gentle hugs. Sorry about losing your son😢😢I,too developed Fibromyalgia and CFS after a spinal injury and surgery. But before the surgery, returned to my career as an RN working with Hospice patients. Neurologists diagnosed FIbro and CFS stating they occurred because I went back to work Fulltime for 7 months before I sought proper Med and then surgical care over a year later. Too much pain, too much physical limitations, depression, 4 separate spinal fusions, loss of my career etc. but we keep going. I’m not bed bound because too much time not moving makes me worse but very unproductive sitting. Walking or standing cause pain after 5-10 min. Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone👩🤗🥰🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸♥️🙏🏻
Well, first of all...I could literally listen to you all day! You are such a blessing! I, too live in the PanHandle and am 58. My advice is simply a spiritual one as I feel it is important to think about our Eternal lives and invite Jesus into our heart (if we haven't already) and believe in Him so we can all celebrate our young glorified bodies in Heaven one day!
So enjoyed this! I’m 64 in 2 weeks. So many times lately I am scared of the aging process. Not because of looks or the like but just the unknown physically; aches, pains, brain fog, stumbles etc.You are an inspiration!
Ignore "Scotch Harvey"...scammer... But anyway, I agree, I am 68 and it ain't easy but I am learning to be the most beautiful 68 year old and forget about trying to recreate a young beauty. It just isn't going to happen. I see other older women though, like Patti and women in my church...super classy, well dressed, pretty hair, hands and makeup....and that is what I am going for. A classy older kind of beauty. Forget any fillers or injections. They make everything worse. Let's be glad we are alive and sort of slideeee into our age,,,,,,,,AND have a good time doing it!
I loved the story about you mother. My mom was the same way. She always started the day sitting at her makeup table and putting on her makeup, doing her hair and dressing, no matter if she left the house or not. In a way I do the same. I don’t go out of the house without makeup and getting dressed, I have always been like that . It makes you feel so much better. My husband will say, Cathy, you are beautiful regardless, but I still want to do my makeup and get dressed for myself.
My mother was the same. A different generation for sure. She took pride in her appearance, even when she didn’t go out. She would dress for the day, she ironed our clothes which is a real novelty today. She was a very feminine lady, and gracious; everyone loved her. What a tremendous role model for her family. I will see her again one day.
I steer clear of titles like “what not to wear over 50” etc etc. it’s just negative and for what? Who cares! So good for you addressing that head on. You always make my day with your videos but this was an especially good day. Thanks Patti!
Hi Patty. I recently discovered your channel. I love it. You are a breath of fresh air! I love your outlook, your honesty, you! Thank you. I do have a "hack" for doing your own nails. I used to have a hard time removing glittery polish. Now it comes off with ease, by using tin foil! I can't remember where I heard the tip. But, I tried it. Basically, dip a cotton ball in the remover, place it on nail, wrap it in the tinfoil, let it sit for a minute or so. Tah dah!
Once again, you’ve inspired me. After turning 70 and becoming a widow, I had moments where I would feel so blue. But you’re like a virtual gal pal who gives me ideas and makes me giggle. Yes, more chats on relationships--family, friends, loved ones! Thanks, Patti.
I love you're outlook, and I appreciate your advice...especially your parting words. "Go out and be kind". I'm coming up on 75, used to be a cowgirl on a ranch, got hurt (not the horse's fault) and am having to use a wheelchair. But, you make me believe I can still be attractive. It takes some effort, but, yeah...I can. Thank you! 💕
Loved this! My contributions - use eye cream you bought but didn’t like on those lip lines- during the day, pat some on the lip lines. Also, any face creams you have purchased but decided not to use - put them on your hands - makes a huge difference! Thank you again - great video!
Patti I am 85 and am new to watching your videos and I just loved your fall clothing video. I was also interested in the recent makeup video you made. At 85 I really enjoy wearing makeup and trying new things. I recently tried an airbrush system which I like a lot,, but I found they tend to clog. I need to find a way to unclog the sprayer. I also like the Bare Minerals makeup. It goes on so light and for me it covers well. Please present the story again about meeting your husband. Thank you for being such a lovely woman. I have subscribed to your videos.
I use Isomers lip plumper first thing each and every day. And added to this is the lip serum and the XL lip firming gel. I’m satisfied and only realize how much it is helping when I stop using it! LOL
Several months ago concerning fuller, longer eyelashes. You had a more expensive one and then you suggest a less expensive one VIA Beauty. After several weeks you decided the Via Beauty wasn't doing as well. Well I had gotten the Via Beauty eyelash serum and I began using it. The outer half of my left eyelid was "bald" - no lashes and my lashes were very short ( had been long all my life). After a few days that "bald" part of my lid began to sprout a few lashes - short to start with. But they kept growing and filling in. I have continued to use the Via Beauty lash serum since March and I have noticeably thicker lashes AND much longer, as they were when I was younger. Via Beauty worked for me. Also, I could afford it compared to the more expensive serum. Just too let you and others know to maybe give it a chance.
AWESOME broadcast! First time seeing you today, because at 71, (and after a stroke last December) I decided that I was finally ready to dress up and start living again so have been gleaning tips here on youtube. Getting my hair cut and styled day after tomorrow AND planning to go into the appointment with full makeup on, something I haven't done since COVID began. Blessings!
This video made me weep (again). My mom was just like yours… she always got dressed in the morning as if she had somewhere to go, and coordinated her jewelry. She could go to the Dollar Store and find a few trinkets for a special ladies’ luncheon or a holiday and after she put her touch on them, they looked as though she spent much more money! She was the most positive thinking person I ever knew… I did not inherit any of those trait sadly. I love your videos and admire you so much. 💕
My mother was like that, too. She always dressed well and put on coordinating jewelry. Every day till she died. I did get that from her. Most days I don't even leave the house. But I'm dressed and ready for prime time at all times! It makes me happy, I just like it!
This is the first time seeing you and since I am 76 I am really interested. Your tips are great 👍. I sure would like to hear your story of the single life and when you married Jim. I am so glad I found you on RUclips.🤗💕
I am way younger than you, but with 2 teenage kids so old enough : ) , and I appreciate you saying to really be true to yourself and your look, take time to play and ultimately do what you want. I've played it safe for school, safe for work, safe for a wife, safe for a mother ... and I am tired of safe! Thanks for the inspiration.
Great tips, thank you! One tip I’d like to add is that every morning, when my face is done (full make-up or “natural”) I use a drop of Lumify eye drops in each eye. It’s incredible how it whitens your whites, lubricates your eyes and makes them really pop, looking clear and bright.
I read once that women should stop wearing denims at 55. I told my daughter that at 70, I still look better in them than many 20 year olds! At 75, I still wear them! They do not have elastic waist either! I enjoy your videos. We have much in common!
I would love to see the videos you have made of how you and Jim met or a new video of such. You are a very beautiful lady. I am 78 yrs. old and everyone thinks I am in my 50s. I am blessed in so many ways. From Tennessee 💜

Patti, my momma was almost 77 when we lost her to cancer. You remind me so much of her! Thank you for letting me have a little visit with my momma every time I watch one of your videos 💕💕💕
When I saw your makeup today I immediately thought you looked fabulous, ESPECIALLY your beautiful lipstick choice! Love it Patti and love you for being my personal cheerleader! Everyday I try to look my best but feel that I fall short because I have arthritis and brown spots and am overweight. But then you touch me with your positivity and encouragement and it brightens my world! So thank you from the bottom of my heart😊 I would love to hear your story about being single so please do a video on that subject!
I would be interested in hearing how you met Jim and decided to marry again after 30 plus years. I am 71, I have been a widow for 10 years was married for 43 years. Also, I do not listen to anyone regarding what I wear. I am sure some think I dress to young for my age, but, don’t care. My granddaughter has worn my clothes many times.
Katie.....if you check Patti's extensive playlist of video's you will find video's where she tells that story, and also video's about her wedding, etc. Lots of interesting, and fun past video's! :) ~~M~~
Patti I am in Scotland, and despite the time difference, I seem to miss it when you are on live, so tonight I got you 4 hours later LoL no matter, I will continue to dye my hair, and also wear wigs till I drop. I shall be 73 in December, you make my day because I relate so much to what you talk about. I have become lazy since the first lockdown, plus not feeling too well, but you have put the spring back in my step - thank you so much.
I loved you video & story about your momma. This is the 1st video I have seen of yours & I subscribed. I'm 50 yrs old and I'm a cosmetologist ( retired now) and now sell real estate in the Nashville, TN area. My grandma had a vanity and she did her hair & makeup everyday and she always had very nice perfume. I played at that vanity everytime I was at grandma's. I loved that vanity and all the little jars she had cotton balls, Qtips, etc... My grandma took cosmetology in high school ( if I remember correctly) she had her rollers and an old dryer chair that she sat under to do her hair. I'm 100% sure that is when I fell in love with everything about the beauty industry. I still love everything about it! It was just very hard on my body and I had to eventually retire from hair. When I got older and could afford my version of a vanity, I've always had my own room with lots of counter space & great lighting. 🙂 I love product & makeup!!! I look forward to watching your videos and learning. I also want to add, you're gorgeous on the inside & out!! Thank you. For the memories you stirred up. ❤
Thank you so much Patti for inspiring me to do better with myself and get pretty everyday. I have all I need to do what you tell us to do. Jewelry, tons of lotions and skincare products. All the makeup I will ever need. So thank you so very much Patti.
"You do you" is a phrase I use almost daily Patti. My 20 year old granddaughter love your channel and often watch you together. We would both love to hear more about you and Jim.
Patty thank you for the bottom of my heart for continuing your RUclips. I don’t have many friends the same age as we are and spending time with you makes me so happy. Love always
Hi Patti, I just turned 70 in September and I was unhappy about it. I went onto RUclips and you popped up on my screen. I have binge watched your videos and you have turned my mindset around. Thank you for your kindness and your positive attitude. You have made me accepting of this new journey I am on in my 70's!! 😊💗
One of my fave recent tips is mixing my own tinted moisturizer using my current foundation & moisturizer. My skin looks more natural this way & healthier. 😊
Tip from Wayne Goss on mascara and it is a game-changer! Use a double-ended dental pick with the tiny fanned brush on one end to apply mascara close to the base line top and bottom and thru the lash. It gets to every small hair and is easy to handle. Use it dry to comb out and fan lashes after applying mascara. You can find them in the dental care aisle of most stores and get about 50 in a pack or tube. Great little tool....
I would love a video about what you learned about life as a single person. I watched videos about meeting Jim. I loved them. You are always uplifting. ❤
It doesn't matter what you talk about, you always have interesting content in your videos. I would like to hear more of your stories about being a stewardess, about being single and meeting your husband even though I did see the video about that
Really enjoyed your video Patti, especially how you started by mentioned the incident about your mom and how you weaved your memory of that incident into the end of your presentation on how we should be ourselves and not be so concerned about how others see us. Brilliant Patti, brilliant! Love how you weave a life experience into an interesting story for us to savour. Thanks Linda from Canada 🇨🇦 😊
Stumbled upon this today, and it was EXACTLY what I needed on many levels. Coming up to 75 this next week, and ready to reevaluate many things. I think I'll just do what I want!!! Thank you.
Patti your story about your mom reminds me of mine maybe it's a generation thing but my mom every morning she'll shower and get dress cute as can be down to earrings and makeup some days just lipstick more energy than the whole family! She's 94 now and unfortunately I haven't seen her in over a year because of covid I miss seeing her but she has amazing genes she chose to live alone and is still in her home I want to hire help for her but I think this is keeping her going! Patti your such a beautiful woman just like your mom your so kindhearted just love you to pieces keep being you❤
Hi Patti, we are in a very tough lockdown in New Zealand at the moment, your videos give me something to look forward to, I would love you to do a video telling us how you met Jim.
You are such an inspiration! I recently found your channel and just in the nick of time. I turned 70 this year and, for some reason, this birthday made me feel especially old. I absolutely love all your tips and feel younger just listening to you. Thank you!
I need a molded cup in a bra. I am uneven d/t mastectomy and implants need replaced, but comfort is key so I found a wireless, adjustable strap one I like by Jockey from QVC. Love the foundation tips w/light and dark shading. Yes to how you met Jim, etc. Never saw your other videos about this part of your life. I am loving your gray hair and I think it's making your eye color pop even more (if that is even possible). Also great B&W photo of you with rollers - love! Your mom was very cute and did not look 75.
Thank you!! I'm right behind you at 64. I've been aware of dressing more plainly and have abandoned any skin care or makeup routines in the past while. You have inspired me with your video blogs. So glad I found you...
Patti, Thank you for sharing your life stories, your words of wisdom, encouragement and inspiration. Your video has changed my life. I am in my mid 40's but my body thinks it is in its 80's. Thank you for inspiring me to get out of my rut, to actually get in the shower and put on some makeup. I still need to work up the courage to go outdoors, but this is the most progress I have seen in myself in 2 years of being housebound. I am so grateful that I found you! Lots of love and light.
Speaking of lipstick. I like the brand you suggested. I wish their colors were lighter. Darker colors make us look older. My problem is their colors are all too dark or too bright. My skin is very fair & my hair is the white gray. I can't find a light enough color. The bright colors are too garish for my complexion & coloring. Suggestions please.
I love the mascara trick! I’m went and bent all my mascara wands! I’m 62 and wear makeup daily and have had to make adjustments as my skin changes, lip lines ,jowls, wrinkled eyelids etc. You are a true inspiration! I hope I look as lovely as you when I’m you’re age! You are beautiful inside and out🥰
Thank you Patti for sharing all your tips, so appreciate them all. So enjoy all your videos. I’ve been single since ‘85 and though it would be great to be in love with the man that loves me however I really do not expect that to happen and will be fine if it doesn’t! I’m so happy you found your forever man and wish you all the very best.🥰
Patti you are beautiful inside and out!! I have been watching you for years now and enjoy your videos so much. You always make me think better of myself .Watching you is spending an afternoon with a good friend and I look forward to each and every visit! Thank you for sharing with us all.
I didn't want this to end. You are such an inspiration to all women. I sure do wish we lived closer so we could hang. I was in PCB last week and still miss knowing, you are not there any longer. 100% agree with you, do and wear what feels good on you....and do it for you!
Please tell us your dating stories! I've been divorced for many years now and would love to hear your comments on dating and finding someone "later" in life!
I'm 57 and I've been single for a very long time. I started dating about 3 years ago. It's a totally different world out there now. It sucks, to put it lightly.
I always hear women that are older complain about their lips, especially the upper lip. I simply don't understand why they don't simply CREATE a larger lip with their lipstick!! There is NO RULE that we have to follow our existing lip line. I exclusively wear long wear lipstick. Either Super Stay 24 hour color by Maybelline or Cover Girl long lasting color. These are the best lipsticks you can buy and they absolutely stay on!! The only way they come off is if you are eating some very greasy. You have to really scrub with makeup remover to get them off that is how awesome they are!!! The only draw back is that they can dry your lips but they come with a moisturizing lip balm to combat that problem. Ladies, you just HAVE to try these, they are absolutely amazing. Just draw the lip you want, you don't have to follow your existing lip. No one can ever tell, I promise you! I always get compliments on my lipstick, always!!!
I was talking with my 45 y/o Nurse Practitioner daughter recently, and in the conversation my age (70), popped up, and the aches/pains that I’m beginning to experience. (She’s very interested in what to expect). But she was silent for about 10 seconds then said…”Mom!…I keep forgetting your age…you look….maybe 50, 55”. She said, “you’re always put together even if you’re going out to the curb to check the mail”. (laughter). I told her, “baby girl, I do it for ME”! I said all that to say…I HIGHLY recommend Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance.
@@jackiedavis6398 I am 46, and I have so much Shoulder and arm pain allready, but I have also worked a hard physical Job as a Self Employed housekeeper most my life....You can look good on the outside, but people dont know whats going on in the inside..You look great by the way!
Hi sweet Patti. I am 74. A tip I learned from grand is after I apply mascara, use your pointy finger to gently lift your lashes. Curls lashes. I have never been able to find an eyebrow pencil or powder that doesn't itch. Thank you for the tip on correcting the shade of foundation by using powder. I have a problem finding the right shade, more pink, less yellow tones. 😅
Thank you for this video madam. My mom has Alzheimer and she doesn't know me anymore. She never wore makeup in her entire life. When she sees me she thinks I'm her sister (who also passed away, but was a beautiful woman) When I walk in, mom wants me to put lipstick on her. Even though I'm not me in her eyes, I love taking out my makeup and making her look pretty. Then I take photos of her and she beams with pride. Love and hugs from South Africa 🌹🦋🌹
I'm 74. I've never worn makeup, only occasionally added blond highlights to my hair back y 20's, am NOT into fashion, in fact, I never get out of my pajamas unless I must leave the house or expect company. But, I LOVE LISTENING TO YOU! You're like a friend who keeps me company while I trundle thru my day:) 😊 Thanks.
Please tell all about those years you were single, how you met your husband and what that was like for you, and more of all the wonderful suggestions you make:)
I have just recently discovered you and your channel and want to thank you so much for doing this. You are beautiful inside and out, and you are so right about earning the right to be ourselves. I wish I had learned that when I was much younger, but some of us are slow learners I guess. And I can't believe I made it 72 years without knowing about the mascara hack!
Hi Patti, that was fun listening to your sincere thoughts. Bras, that is a great story so many women need to think about in aging. You are right on the money with ladies looking more youthful and feminine by keeping their hands as nice as possible. You got me thinking about using more creams on my hands and wearing pretty rings. I am 72 now and have really struggled with the aging process not only in seeing the onset of jowls and sagging neck and eyes but in learning to accept this process. Some days are better than others. The other thing for me is learning to accept the aches and pains of arthritis. I am constantly working on acceptance and improvements for mind and body. I love life and want to feel the best I can in living with myself. I love that you encourage us to be true to ourselves. This video was really uplifting. I am married to a man 10 years older who has always been my soulmate and now has some dementia. We have been married 43 years and if he goes I think about how would I live as a single women? I would love to hear about being single at this stage in life. Thank you so much.
Thank you Patti for these videos. You are such a gracious lady and you exude class. ♥️ Btw: I’m 63. Married in my 20’s was blessed w/2 great children. Married 5 years, divorced. I was a single Mom for 10 years before I met my husband of 28 years plus dating time. My husband is a HUGE sports fan. 🙄 I’m very used to it….boring! Lol Glad you’ve found an outlet for you. For me it’s embroidery or crochet. Before retiring, I worked in a savings and loan. We were expected to dress to the nines- suits, heels, etc. i love clothes so it wasn’t a problem for me - except financially. Trying to dress appropriately, pay daycare, and every other payment, etc by myself was a very hard task. I’m glad it’s changing a bit.
Another great video. My mom was like your mom. Never left the house unless she was completely pulled together. I am that way. It makes me feel good about myself. We have been married 59 years and my husband always tells me how good I look. It’s uplifting when your mate gives you a compliment. Yes, I would love to see a video of how you met Jim and dated then married.
I absolutely LOVED this video!!! Your tips and tricks were great. I am on a journey of working on myself. I’ve already lost 50 lbs. and only 20 to go. I’m already revamping my wardrobe style. Right now, I’m buying more budget friendly items to fill in for now, but they are cute. Being 68, and single, no one is going to dictate how I look. Lol! I need to play with makeup more and I will. I’ve also started with a bit of Botox and a couple of fillers to soften some lines. I had cataract surgery, so I no longer wear glasses, at all. That’s so freeing. I’m also in the middle of getting dental implants. I’m doing this all for me, not someone else. I take care of my 94 year old dad and also taking me time and enjoying it. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I wish we could meet sometime. I live in Orlando, so if y’all are ever down this way, I’d love to meet up for lunch. Your efforts and advice are totally appreciated! 🤗 😘
Patti, what a sweet soul you are and so relaxed and comfortable talking with us. It’s just like we’ve sat down together with a cup of coffee and talked girl talk. Thank you for that experience, it’s priceless in this world today. God bless you!
Patti This is my FAVORITE video so far!! Just odds n ends that meant so much to me! I will watch this over and over again💕 Now I’m going to go buy the #559 lip color and maybe another bold color! Love you.
Our back story is so similar, although I never had children. I was single 20 yrs from 23 til I remarried at 43. We were introduced by mutual friends. Met in January got engaged in April and married in Sept 1989. We are now 75 and 76 and doing very well so far. Love your videos.
You are an inspiration - my hair is still very thin after so much chemo and radiation. Lucky me, my husband loves it when I wear hair pieces I design myself. Sometimes he calls and asks, “ Who am I taking to dinner tonight?” I’m having so much fun. BTW - he is 60 and I have a 17 year old stepdaughter at 72!!!
Hello Patty, I just wanted to share with you, I am 58 getting ready in December turning 59, in these past few years my skin has turned dry and I have been on the hunt for new products to help with my aging skin, I really love your channel as you share with trying out new products, and beauty tips, & telling your stories, and making me laugh I just love watching and listening as I work from home. You are a blessing with personality plus! you have aged just beautifully I hope I am a blessed as you as I continue to age gracefully. Love and Blessing
I'd love to see a video on being single for a long time, meeting your husband and getting married later in life. I was single for 20 years, very happy with my life and then an old boyfriend (from 35 years ago) found me on Facebook, we reconnected, dated for 3 years and married in 2018. I never thought I'd ever get married again but I'm happier than ever. Love to hear your story. Love your attitude and your spirit!
Patti, I don't know when you started doing these videos, but I am so glad that you did. This is the third one that I have watched and I just love hearing what you have to say...I am totally addicted!! Thank you for taking the time to share yourself...what you have to say is so important. You make me tear up sometimes and then you make me giggle and so on....but I just love you and your attitude on life. Please keep sharing. I love you so much.😘💋
Patti, you are a true treasure! I feel as though you are a close family member and friend. I lost my mother when I was 10 years old and never had anyone help me or tell me things I should know as a girl growing up. When I listen to you, I feel you are talking to me as that little girl, young woman and the woman I am today. I'm 63 now and I so wish I had known you way back then. I'm very glad I found you. You make me feel I am enough just as I am and you also empower me as a woman. We as women need to be true to ourselves just as you say. We also need to encourage, lift up and empower other woman, young and older, in our lives. Thank you for being the woman that you are. And thank you for sharing your heart and thoughts with us. Many blessings and much love to you. Take care ♥️
Hi Pattie, my mother in law used to have her hair dyed the most beautiful delicate pink and she really suited it, she was so beautiful. Her daughter used to tell her off and say she was too old. It really annoyed me I told my mum-in-law to do whatever made her feel good and she did her own thing until the day she went home to our Lord. Love you lots Patti God bless you.
I was a straw usher as well Patti and at 70 have lots of vertical lip lines. This tip works wonders: I apply MAC Paint Pot base primer in my skin tone all around the mouth. It is an eye primer but is great for this. Then I use an ultra fine spotter brush from Michael's crafts. I very lightly apply the paint pot to the brush and gently pull each side of my mouth toward my ears. It flattens the lines, but the line placement remains visible. While holding the corner of my mouth I apply the Paint Pot directly into the length of the lines, then release my mouth. The lines are 95+% invisible. I allow that to setup about 30 seconds and then use a Q-tip lightly sprayed with setting spray and gently press into each line. Trust me ladies, this works wonders!! I have tried every topical filler, etc. and this is the best thing I have come across.
Patti, I have been watching you for a couple months now and I am enjoying every video so much... thank you for your stories, tips, advice, friendship and everything in between. I would love to hear how you meet Jim as I never watched you in your early videos..... Thank you for sharing your life, I could sit and listen to you for hours! 😊
I recently retired at 74 and was a single mom for years after my divorce and worked in the corporate world for all my working life. I feel so free now and still single. My newest change is moving to an area with less traffic and slow down to a quieter lifestyle with my dog, Teddy. I presently live in the middle of Houston and thinking about an area outside of the city. Thank you for all the information. I look forward to hearing from you on Saturday.
My beauty tips would be Retin A and sunscreen. Start young and be consistent. I have been using Retin A for over 34 years and I am very happy with my 61 year old skin. Love this video Patti!
Today is my first day to discover the treasure you are. I think the most important wisdom I received today is to “ be who I am “ I need to quit worrying about what others think and be the best me I choose to be. I absolutely love your wisdom and honesty- and the love and caring to help others. I am 67- and I am going to put the “Just Do You” advice to work. Thank you and I look forward to more! You are like a new friend!
This was such a wonderful video Patti! You always talk from your heart! I also share the sagging loose jowels and have found that the micro-current devices help a bit.
First of all, I SO AGREE with you about all the RUclips youngsters (lol) that like to tell every one what they should and shouldn't be wearing!!! I get so fed up with that, and just go on and wear my makeup as I please, I am most comfortable in jeans, so I wear them almost always, and anything else I please. At 78 years old, I know I have earned the right to wear what I please no matter what!!!! And, yes, I LOVE makeup, and sometime spend hours in my bathroom 'playing', it's fun and for what it's worth, it has also taught me the correct way, in my opinion of how to apply it all. At least it has helped. Practicing and learning and playing!!! I love clothes and unfortunately, can't afford anything but cheaper clothing once in a while, but, I get the style 'I' love, not what some one trying to dictate what's in and what's not. I am also married to a sport addict!! Football and baseball especially!! And, I do love to watch certain teams play, but when he's watching a team I am not interested in, off I go and play!!! Our marriage is heavenly and I am truly blessed by my sweet hubby. He is so sweet and thoughtful to me, and, to be honest, treats me like a queen!!! We have been married for going on 47 this December, and we are opposites in mostly everything, but are the greatest of friends....I am so blessed in so many ways and I thank God daily for my many blessings.....my hubby, my two sons, and my 3 grandchildren. My Life revolves around them! Well, I haven't really given any hints, have I!! But, my makeup hint is simple....since I was an oil painter in my younger days, I learned from that to start very soft and light handed and build up gradually and stop, STOP before you think you are through. I now know I look better with less makeup and so I keep it light by barely adding it a little at a time, blending well, and add a little more here and there when I need more. I try to use very little powder, because I have dry skin anyway, and I think powder on me anyway, just emphasizes the dryness. I also blend a too-light shade and a two dark shade of foundation together on a small glass pallet to get just the right shade, and sometimes, also use a tiny drop of oil to make it more spreadable! I could go on, but, I already written a small novel. I am so sorry about that. I also do as you and go outside my very, very thin lips then I do lightly powder that and let them dry so the lipstick doesn't get in the creases as badly and also I bend my mascara wand!! Love you Patti, and so enjoy your videos....have learned so much from you! Hugs to you and yes, being kind is my motto also, be kind to others, (it is so easy to do!!) AND BE KIND TO ONE'S SELF ALSO!!
Hello Patti. I wanted to thank you for suggesting stepping into my bra instead of pulling over my head. It has been a game changer for me! I have severe arthritis in my wrists so pulling over my head was so painful but I really like these new soft stretchy bras. Such a simple thing but I would never have thought to do this! Thank you!
A very real and enjoyable video. I loved hearing you talk about the things you do to make yourself feel good. Easy tips and tricks for everyone. Ever since I saw you show the bent wand trick in the mascara I've done that. Makes it so much easier. Love the Kiss nails as well. You are a lovely woman. Your acceptance of aging is uplifting. Always a pleasure watching your videos and hearing what you have to say. ♥️
After watching you for two years I finally bent my mascara brush ~ oh my gosh made a huge difference. I was able to do y out lashes so much better.! Glad I finally tried your tip today. Thanks
I would love to hear how Patti met Jim. I lost my husband (a massive stroke) years ago and it would be nice to hear about someone's love story the second time around.
Patti, I have just found your channel and I love you being you! I just turned 66, and I have a jewelry collection, adore shopping and makeup and I live for your latest finds. You encourage me that even as I get older I can still unapologetically pursue the things I enjoy. Thank you for sharing your life with us. I have been binge watching your earlier videos. Congrats on your new house. We just picked up our lives, moved to SC from Ohio, bought a new house, and we are so happy here.
I loved this video, Patti! I am 81 years old and because of you and other content creators on RUclips I have learned a lot about skin care, make up and fashion. I go to the hair salon every 4 weeks and keep my hair colored and highlighted and I go to the nail salon every 3 weeks and get my acrylic nails done with gel polish. I keep my make up simple and very seldom use eye shadow but always tightline my eyes and use mascara. I love your tip about bending the mascara brush and find it much easier to apply my mascara. I have a tip for removing eye make up. I use vaseline and rub it over my eyes and brows and wipe off with a tissue. I have very few wrinkles around my eyes and attribute it to this. I saw your comment a few months ago to another subscriber about the Ahh Bras and tried them. I agree it's much easier to step in to them as I had a time getting tangled up while trying to put one on over my head and had to get my husband (married 58 years!) to help me out of my twisted up bra. I like them but have worn underwire bras for so many years (I am a 36DD) I don't feel I get the support i need from them. So many other things you have said through the years have stayed with me. Especially the "always be kind". Thanks, Patti for sharing your life with us. I look forward each week to your video. ♥
Your mom is so beautiful!! My mom at 81 does makeup & hair & dresses everyday & I do the same thing! You always have such a wonderful message & enjoy spending time with you! Scratch behind the ears to Biscuit!! Blessings.
Oh Patti, what a GREAT video! I always enjoy your videos, but this one was Special - THANK YOU! :) I would love to hear about what you learned during your single years! I am 63 and lost my mate/husband of 32 years almost 6 years ago. I then entered into a loving, live-in relationship a couple of years later. I really needed my own place (to sit with and sort through a lifetime of things) and he ended it when I moved out. We are still friends but I can't imagine ever dating again - not because of disappointment, or bitterness - but because I love being single! and, I love living alone!! :) I enjoy male friendships but I sure can't imagine romance again - :) Thanks again - Loved the tips, too! :) Be Blessed.
@@aliciasantiago4424 I would LOVE to see & hear her video of "SINGLE LIFE",.My MR. Wonderful passed away on CHRISTMAS morning 2year ago this coming Christmas, it gets lonely at times but I have a pet dog named ZACK, he has brought great comfort to me...! To: ALL you on here... Happiness And HEALTH, Just be "YOU". SHIRLEY~
OMGosh. I just found you last night. I absolutely have enjoyed and been so inspired by you and what you are sharing. You are so lovely. You are blessed to be so beautiful, and you look after yourself and it sure shows. Your positive videos are wonderful. Such a lovely lady. Thank you for what you share and bring us together to learn and for everyone to share. I am 68. I'll be back after watching another one this morning with my morning coffee. Have a blessed day. Continue to enjoy and love.
Hi, As always I love watching you. You're my friend. I appreciate you and your wisdom. I need to wear make-up again. I do feel better when I look better. I have been single for 23 years, get lonely sometimes, but you never know the future. Love from Michigan ❤
Yes, please Would love to hear the story about Jim. I am 85 and love your philosophy of life. I've been very fortunate to have genetics that haven't produced many wrinkles or bags under my eyes or lines on my forehead. I use an airbrush to apply my makeup and I love it, except when it gets clogged. When that happens I use Bare Minerals. I especially love their under eye concealer. I'm a new subscriber and so much enjoy your vivacious personality that seems to come from a generous heart. I will continue to watch. Thank you for this gift to all us young in heart ladies out here.
Loved this! My Beauty tip for mature women … LOVE who you are and embrace the aging process. Massage is something I teach all of my clients. Massage creates blood flow which creates oxygenation of skin cells and creates collagen🙌🏻 Also Don’t let the media or social media make you feel less than. Ageism is real and we need to change the dialogue on aging. Wabi sabi embracing the imperfections of life and in ourselves and aging a beautiful gift 🙌🏻 Almost 56 and a needle or invasive procedure has never touched this face!! 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
On my word! I just adore you! New subscriber here, 56 from Savannah GA 🤗 I’ve been using the same Cover Girl lipstick for ages! Tried others, and always go back. I have always done my hair and makeup, and gotten nicely dressed. I’ve always worked from home as an artist, so most days the only people who’d see me are my husband, kids, and dogs! It just makes me feel good ☺️ What wasn’t making me feel good was my hooded eyes! I’ve never had much of an eyelid to begin with, and I felt so self conscious about my eyes. I recently started using eye tape on my lids, and wow! They’re a life changer! 👁 Thank you so much for making me feel better about the aging process! You’re absolutely gorgeous inside and out!
Dianne I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Diane. I am with you….Stay being you! 💯💫🙏
Me too honey I am 70 love coloring my hair wear makeup love fashion & high heels I do not care when they tell me I am high maintenance so what if I am I worked hard for 50 years & it is time to enjoy the remaining years in my life God bless you ❤️🙏
Dianne….never stop!! No one wears your skin so always feel great in it!
Take care!
Blessings to you Daphne- I pray you continue to heal !
AMEN!
❤❤❤
So enjoyed this! I’m 64 in 2 weeks. So many times lately I am scared of the aging process. Not because of looks or the like but just the unknown physically; aches, pains, brain fog, stumbles etc.You are an inspiration!
Hello Lori how are you doing?
It comes to us all as we get older it's the changes
Tah dah!
I winder if "those clothes" aren't for "our age" what we are supposed to wear!? We can't go without! Well....I guess we could!😆😆
@@marianeculek3261 Hi 👋 Mariane Culek, your comments so good where are you watching from?
I love how uplifting you are Patti. Thank you for being the beautiful person (inside and out) that you are!
Thank you for being such a lovely
woman. I have subscribed to your videos.
Hi 👋 Kathy, can I please ask you a question?
I use Isomers lip plumper first thing each and every day. And added to this is the lip serum and the XL lip firming gel. I’m satisfied and only realize how much it is helping when I stop using it! LOL
Usually dark lip color is aging, but when the video started I immediately thought how great your lip color looks!
Never heard how you and Jim met and about your dating. Would love to hear about that. Always enjoy your videos. Bless you.
Hi 👋 Cheryl, can I please ask you a question?
Hi 👋 Peg, can I please ask you a question?
I agree with everything you say Patti. I think at 65 I'm entitled to wear whatever I like. So many people will never have the chance x
This is the first time seeing you and since I am 76 I am really interested. Your tips are great 👍. I sure would like to hear your story of the single life and when you married Jim. I am so glad I found you on RUclips.🤗💕
@Michel Brown But you must have lots of positive things about your face & body. Try to focus on those instead.
It’s incredible how it whitens your whites, lubricates your eyes and makes them really pop, looking clear and bright.
have heard that before ,will have to try it
I love Lumify.
Yes, I always have Lumify on hand
I have dry eye and use Lumify for moisture & brightening! It’s awesome! I am 74 & exercise is key to staying on the good side of aging🥰❤️🙏🙏🙏
Yesssss single/ met Jim video !
I read once that women should stop wearing denims at 55. I told my daughter that at 70, I still look better in them than many 20 year olds! At 75, I still wear them! They do not have elastic waist either! I enjoy your videos. We have much in common!
Love blue Jean's and 70 years old. Don't let the old person in.

I am a new follower and I am loving your videos!!video's!!! I would love to see your video's on loving being single and meeting your love!!!❤❤
LOVE IT!!! I think wearing youthful styles is Fabulous! Who says you have to dress like a fuddy duddy??? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍

Dang that note about the bust placing halfway between shoulder and elbow is a revelation! Never heard it before.
I need to get that spring . Since lockdown I’ve given up my makeup wigs and clothes 😆
Hi Annette, I'm from Cumbernauld, now living in Northern CA, so I had to respond :) .... I wear faux hair as well, and am now 71.
I just love the way you talk about your mother❤️❤️
I have loved this video. I am 82 and in the last six months have started makeup again because of you. Thank you Pattie
Hi 👋 Sandy, can I please ask you a question ?
Thank you so much Patti for inspiring me to do better with myself and get pretty everyday. I have all I need to do what you tell us to do. Jewelry, tons of lotions and skincare products. All the makeup I will ever need. So thank you so very much Patti.
"You do you" is a phrase I use almost daily Patti. My 20 year old granddaughter love your channel and often watch you together. We would both love to hear more about you and Jim.
Hi 👋 Jonina, can I please ask you a question?
I would like to hear the Jim & Patti story as well. So glad to stumble across her channel this evening!
Patty thank you for the bottom of my heart for continuing your RUclips. I don’t have many friends the same age as we are and spending time with you makes me so happy. Love always
Hi Patti,
I just turned 70 in September and I was unhappy about it.
Hi 👋 Lynne, can I please ask you a question?
Tip from Wayne Goss on mascara and it is a game-changer! Use a double-ended dental pick with the tiny fanned brush on one end to apply mascara close to the base line top and bottom and thru the lash. It gets to every small hair and is easy to handle. Use it dry to comb out and fan lashes after applying mascara. You can find them in the dental care aisle of most stores and get about 50 in a pack or tube. Great little tool....
I just watched that video of Wayne's and have tried it the past couple of days, it works!
I would love a video about what you learned about life as a single person. I watched videos about meeting Jim. I loved them. You are always uplifting. ❤
I would love to watch the video about Patty single as I am single and I like to know how other women deal with it or have dealt with it
Oh yes, PLEASE!!!

I would love to read the story, on how you met your soul mate.. Thank you so much., looking forward to it.. Barb..❤
It doesn't matter what you talk about, you always have interesting content in your videos. I would like to hear more of your stories about being a stewardess, about being single and meeting your husband even though I did see the video about that
Hi 👋 Kathleen, can I please ask you a question?
Really enjoyed your video Patti, especially how you started by mentioned the incident about your mom and how you weaved your memory of that incident into the end of your presentation on how we should be ourselves and not be so concerned about how others see us. Brilliant Patti, brilliant! Love how you weave a life experience into an interesting story for us to savour. Thanks Linda from Canada 🇨🇦 😊
Hello Linda how are you doing?
Hi 👋 Linda, can I please ask you a question?
Patti your such a beautiful woman just like your mom your so kindhearted just love you to pieces keep being you❤
I could listen to your stories all day -you are such a natural story teller conveying your lessons in your stories ….
My
problem is their colors are all too dark or too bright.
You are beautiful inside and out🥰
Hi 👋 Jill, can I please ask you a question?
Thank you Patti for sharing all your tips, so appreciate them all. So enjoy all your videos. I’ve been single since ‘85 and though it would be great to be in love with the man that loves me however I really do not expect that to happen and will be fine if it doesn’t! I’m so happy you found your forever man and wish you all the very best.🥰
Yes, would love to hear how you met Jim. I love your videos and try your tips with looking better!! Thank you!!
@@jeancollins5471 Hi 👋 Jean, can I please ask you a question?
I am 68 and have been saying for 10 years that I no longer do anything that I no longer feel like doing. Love you 😊
Patti you are beautiful inside and out!!
Hello Cathey how are you doing?
Please tell us your dating stories! I've been divorced for many years now and would love to hear your comments on dating and finding someone "later" in life!
I'm 57 and I've been single for a very long time. I started dating about 3 years ago. It's a totally different world out there now. It sucks, to put it lightly.

Yes I wandering if I will ever even meet another man HELP. 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for your tip, I am getting some of that lipstick!
Me too xx
You do not look 70!

When she sees me she thinks I'm her sister (who also passed away, but was a beautiful woman)
When I walk in, mom wants me to put lipstick on her.
Btw: I’m 63. Married in my 20’s was blessed w/2 great children. Married 5 years, divorced. I was a single Mom for 10 years before I met my husband of 28 years plus dating time.
My husband is a HUGE sports fan. 🙄 I’m very used to it….boring! Lol
Glad you’ve found an outlet for you.
Pattie, you are phenomenal and exude a graceful inspiring sprit. I truly love you and emulate you!!!
Always enjoy your videos...Love the "you do you" encouragement... yes, would love to hear the Patti and Jim story!! Hugs!

You are the best person on RUclips! Always an inspiration! Love your thoughts on aging! You’re a breath of fresh air!!!

WOW! Thank!!

Thank you for the “pep talk”, I needed every single bit of encouragement you freely shared.
Love the gray coming thru on your hair❤️
My beauty tips would be Retin A and sunscreen. Start young and be consistent. I have been using Retin A for over 34 years and I am very happy with my 61 year old skin. Love this video Patti!
Welcome back Patti. Love your ideas & tips.
Hello Pam how are you doing?
Yes PLEASE I would love to hear about your single life and what you enjoyed about it and how you met Jim!!!

I would love to hear how Patti met Jim. I lost my husband (a massive stroke) years ago and it would be nice to hear about someone's love story the second time around.
Hi 👋 Barbara, can I please ask you a question?
