I have loved.. loved.. the Este Lauder Double Wear foundation for years. I get so many compliments with it. I'm surprised no one here has mentioned it. Great coverage and lasts all day. The Perbelle however does intrigue me because it looked so wonderful on you, Patti. Now I have to give it a try. Love watching your tutorials. You are absolutely gorgeous. Since I am your senior by a few years, I watched this video because of the cover picture on the video and noticed that the left side of your face seemed more firm and lifted. Needing exactly that, I am pleased to find that the video actually showcased with an excellent comparison, the product. After reading a number of the comments which were very helpful, for the price, you got the expected results! That being said, I have never watched one of your videos in which you didn’t look beautiful, regardless of what product you are trying!

I’m using my second tube of Perbelle. I love it, coverage is great. You don’t have to worry about picking the right color for your skin color. No more line of demarcation around your chin or neck.I ordered 2 more tubes. I also have been using their mascara, which I like very much. At 70 years old, I’m very happy with Perbelle!

I'm at the point that I have stopped wearing foundation, it only seems to emphasize my lines more and most foundations make my skin look drier. Bare Minerals all the way , holds all day in every climate and high humidity . it is the best ! Woman always ask me what foundation I am wearing , the powder turns creamy as it is warmed by the skin and has a youthful look (dewy). I am 81 and still get compliments on my skin .

I purchased it once ,years ago ,but never repeated it. I am blessed with good skin ,so I have played around for many years ,with many brands. As for my opinion of your experiment ,I felt that the Perbelle looked ,in my opinion ,a bit “ ghostly”. The other side looked ,as you said ,more moist. I preferred it. You are a pretty lady ,regardless.Give Perbelle the deep six. My present favourite foundation is Doll Ten. I use a separate sunscreen. A bit more trouble ,but so what ?

Not sure what it may look like in person, but could tell right which side was "new". It comes off brighter on screen, which removes any shadows your skin might make, so its nice for the video! I was able to pick the side with the Perbelle, because I have tried it. It was much too dry for me. Even on top of my moisturizer, it felt like I was having to rub my skin too hard. At my age 73, I don't want to abuse it any more than I have too, lol. My consensus was it would be okay around the house, but not to go out in public with, so why would I need it. Great to see you today! Was worried you might be sick.
I guessed correctly, that the Purbelle was on the left side of your face (my right as I’m looking at you), and I thought the color tone was more flattering and natural looking on you. However, I cannot justify the price as I rarely use foundation and the product would go bad before I could use it all.
I bought the Perbelle a couple months ago and I do like it. It doesn't set in my lines and even though I need added concealer it makes the under eye look better but doesn't totally hide my dark circles. I love the high SPF. I might try the Joah because of the price difference.

Adorable pictures of the twins and Biscuit! I didn't like the Joah foundation. I thought it was too glowy, even after you powdered it. The Perbelle looked so nice. I’m so glad you tried it, Patti! I’ve been wondering about using the cc cream mostly as a concealer & primer. Not sure I want a powdery finish under my eyes. I think dewy finish would show less crepiness.

The Perbelle reminds me of the MyChelle Dermaceuticals Sun Shield Liquid SPF 50 (I get the Light/Medium). The MyChelle comes in 3 shades (I think) and is touted as a tinted SPF. It makes my face look like I have really good skin and people can’t tell I’m wearing anything. It, too, would do best over a good moisturizer. I get mine off Amazon and right now it’s $19.98 for one ounce. This idea of both these products is kind of amazing.
I got the Perbelle (2 tubes discounted) last month and I LOVE IT. I really don't get the "color adjusting" feature at all, as it seems to look whitish on everyone I see. I dont have any underlying dark blotches so the coverage is not an issue to me on my 70 yr old skin - but I really like the "color correcting" feature under my eyes. I am able to add some color with blush/bronzer to my satisfaction. And I love the added sunscreen as that is essential for me. Sorry it didn't work for you, Patti.

Also bc you use the same makeup color palette that I do (plum tone eyes and pink, rosy or mauve lip and blush tones)...and you are observant, descriptive and thorough in your analysis, so I get a pretty good idea of how products will work for me, skin tone + skin type, so I don't waste money! I watched because your video came up in my suggestions. I’m in my 40s, so I’m probably not your target audience, but I love to watch mature beauty channels because they’re so encouraging to me. A lot of my older female relatives have stopped “caring” about their appearance since becoming widows. It’s so sad. My mom told me I’ve been extra since I was 2 years old, so I like positivity in maturing. Keep up the great work !
Thanks for doing this trial, Patti. The ads are wearing me down. I guessed the correct side because, to me, the Perbelle side had a slight white "cast" like you see with mineral sunscreens. Both sides look great, but I prefer the Joah for the color and the dewiness. You are so beautiful, and courageous to do what you do! I love seeing another woman in my age group (I'm 68) who still likes to play with makeup. I have been wearing the CoverGirl Outlast also, because it doesn't get all over the inside of my mask, but I recently retired, so I don't have to wear a mask all day anymore, hooray! At first I thought the perbelle was too light but once it was all finished I think it makes you look younger. You always do a good job on your make up . The only thing I noticed is you don’t add anything to your lids maybe just extend your make up very lightly to your lids before you put your eye shadow on . Great review . Thanks

I liked the Perbelle side best. I’ve got it and I love it. I put the tensest drop of baby oil with it. It goes on much better. Then a blusher. I feel great wearing it 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I guessed the left Perbelle I really like it on you. I gave up makeup after years with Beauticontrol and wear lip stain only. I have age spots on my cheeks and Perbelle is all I use sparingly.on nose and cheeks. It’s great. No one has noticed it yet I love it. I am 65.

I am so glad you did this product review because I was contemplating buying it myself, due to all the ads with older women. Looking at your face, I guessed the right side (your left) was the Perbelle. I noticed you had to keep applying more to get the coverage you wanted, and even though it does appear to color correct, it has a slight white cast. It looked nice for sure, but the Joah seemed to cover with less product, and it looks a bit richer in color, and it is dewy, which I think looks better on older women than matte. Does the Perbelle have a bad smell? What about the Joah? Do either of these foundations settle in wrinkles?
You're beautiful on both sides (and on the inside, where it matters most). I did notice that your under-eye area blends beautifully with the skin on your cheek area on the Perbelle side, though. I hope to give it a try someday!
The Perbelle looks more natural and seems to cover better. Matte seems to not accentuate wrinkles. I’ve recently bought the Perbelle but haven’t used it much. Thank you for sharing-you are a lovely lady!

Just started using Perbell. I love it. I have very pale skin and it gives me perfect match. Also love their lip color. I prefer the Perbell on you. You always look fabulous
From the videos I have watched on RUclips, I prefer the matte look over the shiny look on aging skin. You would think that the dewy look would minimize wrinkles, but it seems to be just the opposite. Both sides of your face looked good by the time you finished. Luv the new lipstick on you!!

I have found that the Este Lauder sets into deeper wrinkles. It’s beautiful on younger skin though!

Adorable pictures of the twins and Biscuit! I didn't like the Joah foundation. I thought it was too glowy, even after you powdered it. The Perbelle looked so nice. I’m so glad you tried it, Patti! I’ve been wondering about using the cc cream mostly as a concealer & primer. Not sure I want a powdery finish under my eyes. I think dewy finish would show less crepiness.

The Perbelle reminds me of the MyChelle Dermaceuticals Sun Shield Liquid SPF 50 (I get the Light/Medium). The MyChelle comes in 3 shades (I think) and is touted as a tinted SPF. It makes my face look like I have really good skin and people can’t tell I’m wearing anything. It, too, would do best over a good moisturizer. I get mine off Amazon and right now it’s $19.98 for one ounce. This idea of both these products is kind of amazing.
I got the Perbelle (2 tubes discounted) last month and I LOVE IT. I really don't get the "color adjusting" feature at all, as it seems to look whitish on everyone I see. I dont have any underlying dark blotches so the coverage is not an issue to me on my 70 yr old skin - but I really like the "color correcting" feature under my eyes. I am able to add some color with blush/bronzer to my satisfaction. And I love the added sunscreen as that is essential for me. Sorry it didn't work for you, Patti.

Also bc you use the same makeup color palette that I do (plum tone eyes and pink, rosy or mauve lip and blush tones)...and you are observant, descriptive and thorough in your analysis, so I get a pretty good idea of how products will work for me, skin tone + skin type, so I don't waste money! (boy, haven't we all done that! 🙄)

I watched because your video came up in my suggestions. I’m in my 40s, so I’m probably not your target audience, but I love to watch mature beauty channels because they’re so encouraging to me. A lot of my older female relatives have stopped “caring” about their appearance since becoming widows. It’s so sad. My mom told me I’ve been extra since I was 2 years old, so I like positivity in maturing. Keep up the great work !

Thanks for doing this trial, Patti. The ads are wearing me down. I guessed the correct side because, to me, the Perbelle side had a slight white "cast" like you see with mineral sunscreens. Both sides look great, but I prefer the Joah for the color and the dewiness. You are so beautiful, and courageous to do what you do! I love seeing another woman in my age group (I'm 68) who still likes to play with makeup. I have been wearing the CoverGirl Outlast also, because it doesn't get all over the inside of my mask, but I recently retired, so I don't have to wear a mask all day anymore, hooray! I have been using Lancôme Teint Idole for so long I can’t remember when I have used any other. It is the only one of my makeup products that I do not change or vary from.

I think the Perbelle covered under your eyes the best. I use Perbelle and I did notice a dryness to it. But it's really good for summer.

At first I thought the perbelle was too light but once it was all finished I think it makes you look younger. You always do a good job on your make up . The only thing I noticed is you don’t add anything to your lids maybe just extend your make up very lightly to your lids before you put your eye shadow on . Great review . Thanks

Enjoyed your makeup comparison today. I liked the Perbelle on you better too but too expensive for my pocketbook!! I have been using a Clinique makeup. It covers pretty good. But I don't wear makeup that often. I loved the color of your lipstick and liner. Looked really pretty on you. But you are always pretty Patti.

I liked the Perbelle side best. I’ve got it and I love it. I put the tensest drop of baby oil with it. It goes on much better. Then a blusher. I feel great wearing it 🇬🇧🇬🇧
I guessed the left Perbelle I really like it on you. I gave up makeup after years with Beauticontrol and wear lip stain only. I have age spots on my cheeks and Perbelle is all I use sparingly.on nose and cheeks. It’s great. No one has noticed it yet I love it. I am 65.

I am so glad you did this product review because I was contemplating buying it myself, due to all the ads with older women. Looking at your face, I guessed the right side (your left) was the Perbelle. I noticed you had to keep applying more to get the coverage you wanted, and even though it does appear to color correct, it has a slight white cast. It looked nice for sure, but the Joah seemed to cover with less product, and it looks a bit richer in color, and it is dewy, which I think looks better on older women than matte. Does the Perbelle have a bad smell? What about the Joah? Do either of these foundations settle in wrinkles?
You're beautiful on both sides (and on the inside, where it matters most). I did notice that your under-eye area blends beautifully with the skin on your cheek area on the Perbelle side, though. I hope to give it a try someday!

The Perbelle looks more natural and seems to cover better. Matte seems to not accentuate wrinkles. I’ve recently bought the Perbelle but haven’t used it much. Thank you for sharing-you are a lovely lady!

Just started using Perbell. I love it. I have very pale skin and it gives me perfect match. Also love their lip color. I prefer the Perbell on you. You always look fabulous
From the videos I have watched on RUclips, I prefer the matte look over the shiny look on aging skin. You would think that the dewy look would minimize wrinkles, but it seems to be just the opposite. Both sides of your face looked good by the time you finished. Luv the new lipstick on you!!

I love them both. Sometimes I like looking dewy and sometimes l like a mat finish. So both are a win win for me.
I didnt guess I knew the Perbelle side. It was obvious your face much smoother and brighter especially around the eye. Stay with Perbelle, I love it, been using for a year now.

Hi Patti, So glad to see you, I have missed your videos. You look so beautiful in both of the foundations. To be honest I have never heard of that foundation but it does look great on you. It makes your face brighter. The pictures of your Grand children are so precious.
I got lucky and guessed correctly. Both sides looked great but I thought the Perbelle was maybe a little lighter. The Perbelle sure did match your skin nicely but for the price the other one looked just as nice.
