I cannot say enough good things about your videos. I am a 36-year-old wife and mom of two boys (7 & 9) and you have completely changed my mindset on aging and beauty. I thought I was pro-aging gracefully before I found your videos, but I would often find myself feeling not-so-good when I looked in the mirror each morning. I would also feel the same after I put on my makeup or watched other makeup-review-youtubers with flawless skin. After watching your videos (seeing how beautiful you are and how good you feel about yourself and makeup) I realized I was critiquing myself so critically and harshly. You have helped me to let that go. One last thing, I've mostly watched your videos in the evening when the kids are in bed, but recently I've been watching your videos when I'm cooking dinner in the kitchen in the evenings. Patti I am a retired Interior Designer Architect and you need to know that if you keep your floors all the same it will make your home look much larger than it is despite the size . Once you change flooring you interrupt that floor flo pattern and it chops up the rooms Keeping it all the same makes it look richer and far more professionally done. So in lieu of years of experience in this filed i recommend you match the existing hardwood floors and in the long run it will increase the value of your home. If you do not want hardwood floors then go to a Marble and Granite yard and consider light Beige Travertine marble Not the tumbled marble but the large 10 or 24 inch squares, I used this in my sons house in Summerlin, Nevada and they are very neutral, All bedrooms have white carpeting. I had it sealed and the countertops in the Kitchen are Shades of Tan, Camel and Black Granite . This is a classic flooring and very easy to maintain since it is sealed. Out West they do not use hardwood floors because most homes have no basements and hardwood or laminate floors do not hold up well on concrete bases, Hopefully this will be of help to you in some way Most of all have fun Its a beautiful home and i know you will make it your forever home.

I just wanted to say, you would be to young to be my mum but I've come to the conclusion you remind me of her and its like chats we would still have, had she been around. Its many years ago now but it's like, mum I'm coming round fir a coffee and a chat. One day mum was here and then she was gone, very sudden brain aneurysm. We were always kind to each other and three days before, we had a lovely time in a hotel. Afternoon tea and swim. We never had much money but we spent wisely. Sorry for rambling, just felt the need to say. 🌹😢💕

I know what you mean,my mom was so sweet and loved everyone she met she call every morning and at night she say you got to love every body if you want go to heaven,she met anyone she would hug and kiss them on the cheek and say I love you,I miss her so,she had a bad stroke one day and lived around 9 months in bed so bad,she didnt deserve what happen to her,but it did,but think about Jesus he didn't deserve dieing for us.
He loved us to do so.

I have good luck with the Jergens color moisturizer. It has a slight smell but it goes away within about one hour. I use the light to medium.

I am going to offer some food for thought. We have tile in our kitchen,dining and living room. (We have hardwood in all the bedrooms) I love it but as we have gotten older, we are noticing it seems to be hard on our joints. We are in our 70’s and now wish we had hardwood instead.
It is, must have hard bottom slippers.
@@CaliMel184 I almost fell on very attractive, but incredibly slippery when wet, tile in a boyfriend's bathroom once. That was enough to cure me of hard tile on bathroom floor unless it has some kind of texture.
So agree that tile is terrible on joints, or in case of falls. I like a softer hardwood 1st choice (but not good if floods), 2nd choice LVF with flat edge rugs to prevent tripping.
My favorite flooring was Australian Cypress, it felt so good to walk on, but left hard shoes at door.

The Jergens is easy and works to just add a little color and doesn’t turn Orange at all. Just put it on like lotion and make sure you cover complete areas

As a matter of fact this past weekend I had a garage sale and an owner of a boutique in a different state bought 70 of them to resale in her store. I was delighted! What I really like about the jewelry is the easy fastening. I cannot tell you how often I think about putting on a necklace or bracelet but do not because it is going to be hard to fasten. On the flooring, the only thing I am always concerned about is that so many tiles get so slick with just a bit or water or a little powder. I am sure you will take all considerations into account as you plan your flooring. What fun!

Thanks for the links to your nails, I thought you had them done at a salon and for the dress. It is so cute and my 5 yr old granddaughter is always telling me to, Wear a dress, Neena! My 2 older grandkids call me Nana but these 2 youngest have changed it to Neena. But Lily is always wanting me to wear a pink dress and I don't have one. So maybe I'll get this in pink. Then the Likimat! OMG! We rescued a Chihuahua 2 yrs ago. She had been with a family and had somehow ended up at the pound. A family down the street from my son got her from the pound, so that was at least her 2nd family. They gave her to my son's nextdoor neighbors, 3rd family. They have 4 kids and she was in a crate all day. They worked, the 4 kids were in school. But she wouldn't eat for them. So my husband said he would take her if they didn't want her. So one day when my son came to pick up the kids, he had the dog. Turns out she had heartworms, so we started her on treatments. It took a while to find the food she liked. She doesn't like canned food and is picky about the dry food. Whoever had her from the beginning or before the neighbors spoiled her with table foods or snacks. If she hears a bag like chips, she is THERE! LOL A couple times when we were eating I gave her a doggie frozen treat. She licks and licks and it keeps her busy while we eat. She get full before it's empty. I put Press N Seal over it and put it back in the freezer. I think this Likimat will be the perfect thing to keep her busy while we eat. I just told my husband today that she needed to be in a crate when we ate. She is so pesty! Today he was out and came home with wings from KFC. Not my favorite wings but we were watching a movie on TV and eating wings and she was up on the sofa and on your back and under your arm into your lap. She's awful!!! It isn't so bad when we eat at the table. So I thank you for these tips. HUGS~Donna

Hi Patti ... haven't watched in a while, but here I am ....sooo excited for you and your move. Hope you're going to take advice of some of your followers re. the unpacking order/process -- just make it EASY on yourself & Jim! No bumps in the night into a box you forgot to move out of the way ....or that fell on you somehow or other..... ad infinitum!!
Also in this video; I will put my vote for floor covering: extension of the wood or wood-look engineered or hi-end lam.flooring -- so many of the remodel shows do that for a grrrr8 look. In the kitchen, you can prob'ly find a sealer or product that will protect it in front of the sink -- or put a mat down that can be easily cleaned when needed. Textured tile in bathrooms, and carpet in the bedrooms. When the bedroom white gets so grungy that it HAS to be replaced, do the same wood as living room, etc., and get some fuzzy wuzzy ruglets to place by the bedsides for your feet to wiggle in when you arise!

P.S. Do you still attribute your glorious skin to the oil you use -- or is it in your genes?! I used to have nice, smooth skin, but since an illness 7 yrs. ago, & loss of about 10#, my skin not only looks like an alligator's, but facial wrinkles in abundance. Am too old to risk any surgical remedies ....& gave up on "miracle" creams, lotions & potions yrs ago ....what say you???

Pale redhead here. I use Jergens Natural Glow lotion. First application, I don’t glow in the dark in about 4 hours. Put it on again the next day and I have soft color. No bad smell. Comes in light/medium and medium/dark.

I adore pearls. I know they’re meant to signify tears, but I love them just the same. I was lucky enough to be gifted a strand of cultured pearls with matching bracelet when I was sixty. They are my prized possessions. I have fitted magnets onto both pieces as I am a class one butterfingers. The unladylike language you can hear when I’m fiddling with the catch on a bracelet would melt your ears.

I love the Kiss Nails as well. I discovered them during covid when the nail salons were closed. After going to the nail salon for more than 20 years, I no longer go and spend $40 every two weeks for a fill. I use the press on Kiss nails and they work so well. I get 7 to 10 days wear.
Oh Patti, you are so adorable. So happy and upbeat even in adversity. It’s been nearly a year now since my husband died and it still takes a lot to make me smile. I found I had a smile on my face nearly the whole video. I’m so excited for your move. I’m going to watch your movie on it again in a minute. I bought something on line recently. I opened it up and it went straight into the bin. Postage would have been more than the item. If it was just you reading this I would say. You would fall over laughing. You must have been the best air hostess ever. My first flight was when I was turning 3. It was a plane that had just one row of seats down each side. We had a stopover halfway on the 3 hour flight. My Aunty at the airport fed me strawberries . It was a very bumpy trip. Oh dear. I had to use the paper bag. My mother was proud. A little boy opposite didn’t use one 😫Since then I’ve travelled all over the world I will only go first class. Singapore airlines are lovely. I just get claustrophobic. Love your video❣️ i’ve tried many self Tanners over the years. And I had skin cancer around 15 years ago, so I stay out of the sun. The best self tanner is Lovely Tan. It is a mousse and goes on dark so you can see where you’re putting it. I get the 2 hr express. I generally like to put it on before I go to bed and wake up with a tan. Sometimes when I’m in a hurry I will wait just do it for the two hours. It is a little pricey on their website but I get it from Amazon for $39. It is a much better price. I get the dark. Just a little tip - I do my face with a make up brush that I use just for tanning. It is much easier than trying to do your face with the big mit😂🤪 my second choice is St. Tropez mousse. Always get a mousse. It goes on the best.
The best sunless tanner I have ever used is Bondi Sands. It is a beautiful natural color. No orange. It is pricey, but it is worth it. My daughter and I both use it. Have a wonderful day and safe move. Luv you Patti. I don't miss a video.Hugs to you and Jim.

Try Loving Tan in the dark colour. It works for everyone. Just apply one thin layer if you don’t want it too dark. It’s beautiful!

I think most self-tanners have some smell, but I don't mind the smell of this one: Vita Liberata (foam). I've used it for years and years. I also love that it's got a little instant color, then it darkens over time. On me, anyway, it's not orange at all. It looks like a lovely natural tan. It's not the cheapest, it's a. it pricey, but a bottle lasts me over a year so it's not too bad.

I think you are God's gift to women all over. You have cheered me up tremendously. I am going on 82 and since watching you, I have decided to start bringing ME back to life. I thought my days were over. On the self-tanning products, I turn orange on all of them and the worst part is that it makes the age spots on your skin darker and much worse. I asked my Dermatologist about it, since I cannot be in the sun, and he said they would do that and to stop using any of them. Just a word to the wise for what it is worth. Keep on giving all of us hope and encouragement. Love you.
