Those are Sting rays not Manta rays... Manta Rays are absolutely massive and they are usually not in the shallow areas. Beautiful beach!

I always thought sea lions were very aggressive, so I was surprised when you said you’d be snorkeling with them and I saw the size haha.
Many countries on earth are very beautiful and worthy of visiting. Living there is a different matter. I wish I could afford traveling to many different places on earth but it’s not easy for me. Many office employees work 9 to 5 or longer hours, 1 job 1 pay with vacation days for 1 month if lucky or to some people. Not many people have that kind of time and money to travel to so many places. 1 job 1 income is to pay for rent/mortgage, transportation, TV cable and WIFI, meals, clothes to work and so forth. It takes years to save some money for substantial travels. Enjoy your life while you have health and technical skills to be vloggers.
Have to do the stingray shuffle to hopefully keep from getting stung. Saw a fellow in FL Gulf coast get stung he was in big time pain.

The clarity of the water is directly proportional to how much the wind whips up the surf and the surf churns up the sand. Also during the rainy season visibility drops to next to zero when the rivers wash the silt down from the mountains.

Sting rays are definitely a danger. When I was at Loreto last month -- May 2021 -- a guy stepped on one and the stinger went completely through his foot. He was in immense pain and had to be taken immediately to the hospital in Loreto (we were staying at Loreto Village ten miles south of Loreto). The resort has signs posted warning of the sting ray danger and to do the "sting ray shuffle".
Sting rays swim all over west florida beaches just across these beaches.

16:59 -> Sting Ray...Manta Rays are huge and don't sting... Sting Rays avoid humans, you literally have to step on them when they cover themselves with sand and are motionless. Their sting hurts like hell and needs antibiotics to prevent infection. You can see their eyes poking up out of the sand they cover themselves with. When you get close they blast out of the sand speed away. A swimming Sting Ray in clear water just swims away.

How are the restrictions there at the minute? Are things fairly normal ?
Manta rays are gentle giants with no stingers or barbs. We snorkeled with them a couple of months ago in Hawaii and it was amazing. If you ever get the chance to do that, you will love it! Those were not manta rays at Isla Coronado.

Go to the beaches North Of Loreto, all the way up to Mulegé. They all are just like that Isla Coronado Beach. Specially Santispac y El Requesón. And Mulegé is Beautiful! It’s an oasis.

Great shots despite no drone. Dolphins and pelicans are awesome, and I just adore that beach. So cool to see stingrays swimming around! (I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that wasn't a manta. Sorry!)

True. Manta rays are also huge at can grow to about 7m wide and they prefer deeper water.

Thanks for sharing. I have had the good fortune of towing my boat to Loreto a few times and have explored all of the islands. Coronado is the place for hanging on pristine and amazingly stunning beaches! That wasn't a Manta Ray I believe it was a Skate.

Mexico is beautiful
Getting to the island is easy, as trips can be arranged at the local marina in Loreto. The trip is usually voyaged in a panga, a small fishing boat. You can arrange for guides who will take you around the island as well.

It's not just the Sea Lions. That place is in the middle of "Shark Alley ". One of the biggest Great White Sharks ever recorded was from around there. If that is the same Isla Coronado I think it is...
Nice video guys! I stepped on a ray in Las Animas south of Puerto Vallarta. Some of the worst acute pain I’ve ever felt lol, glad you were able to avoid that fate! Shuffling the feet helps to avoid them…I wish they taught that in school 🧐.
