keane may come across as quite strict and tough, but he's still the type to look out for people, he could clearly see it wasn't as simple as losing interest in football
What did you get from this video? He flat out said he was worried that his commercial stuff would take his interest away from football 😂
Couldn't disagree more. The reason Declan Rice played U21 for Ireland and then decided to play for England was because of Keane. Roy was a fantastic player, just a horrible manager. No need to reply but there's enough articles out there, so research them.
@@geoffoconnor6003Keane wasn't the reason behind that. Rice is a little turncoat. One minute, he was tweeting ''Up the 'Ra", and the next he was singing, "God save the Queen".
You are right, Keane is too harsh to be a good manager or coach, but Rice left Ireland because of his fickle nature.
@@geoffoconnor6003Have you any evidence to back that claim up ?
Rice is English… maybe that’s why?
Everyone forgets EVERY pundit was saying this post WC 2018. Neville Carra Keane Wrighty shearer etc. but everyone blames Jose in 2020
I think Roy Keane’s instincts kicked in and he said it in a very simple way. Turns out he was right, of course nobody knew what was really going on, but that new Dele Alli interview is very hard-hitting.
FR i i cried watching it 😔❤️🥺
Fucking jumping on it now how ironic.
He wasn't right. Alli was losing form, everyone could see it. Roy linked it with a few commercials. We know that the commercials had absolutely no relevance.
What was going with him
@@peterhiggins9832 How is he jumping on it you absolute 🤡. It is the ITV Sport admin who posted it. Keane has stayed silent. Stop trying to look for something where there isn't anything.
Roy knows his stuff. I remember him calling out Joe Hart when others were saying how brilliant Joe was. What did Pep then do as soon as he came to Man City? "On yer bike, Joe, you ain't good enough, amigo".
This is basically English media on every English player ever. Don't get me wrong they have had some great legends but the way they go on about grealish rice saka etc overrate them so much they are good like but no where near as good as the English media make them out to be.
@@carlinytc7431well said. They are making Saka out to be like Ronaldinho.
@@carlinytc7431don't every nation's media do that though? Seems like people say that about English media because they watch a lot of English media.
@@simonkaggwanjalaSaka is an incredible player
Why did u do this in Pep voice 😂
Hope Dele Ali gets through his troubles. He’s been battling for a long time. Brave guy. 👍💪
Roy is a wizard on and off
Just goes to show you never know whats going on in someone's personal life or what they've been through
Roy got it spot on!
Roy Keane will be in the Bourne Identity situation one day ..he 'll say " I switch on a match and I notice who's being too friendly with the opponent..i know who doesnt have hunger desire..i know that person at the corner I can take with myself to war..How can I know all that ...and not know my name"
POV: this came on your recommended after the interview
Why are Keane fanboys claiming he foresaw Alli's mental problems. He was clearly suggesting he was doing too many commercial stuff... nothing on his mental health issues..
No, your right. No mental health stuff. What he's saying is a 21 year old loosing interest in a game he's only just started is concerning.
Keane saw the underlying concerns but arrived to the wrong conclusion. That being said, he was still the first to identify something not being quite right at a time when Alli was at his best.
Just because Alli came out and talked about his mental state doesn't mean we forget about all his antics off field from the past years like the nitrous oxide and parties. That's what's been concerning for years.
Keane fanboys always try to make him look better than he actually is
@@kedikilweand Keane said absolutely nothing about that - he was talking about advertisements. A totally pointless criticism in today's game.
Jeez everyone saw this coming except dele…
He was more interesting in tik tok dancing and playing Fortnite
@@MW92.have you seen the new interview?
How do you know? Do you know him? Did he tell? Then don’t presume
@@MW92.just making shit up 😭
Roy saw it coming, you didn't
Actuslly pretty low of ITV to post this
Roy be a parent to girls, knows something up with deli
Ey, whaddu miiiiin?
lottery numbers plz roy
Imagine being Roy Keane.
"Daddy I drew a cat" - "There's a lot to improve on here"
"How's the stew love?" - "You need to put in a lot more time in the kitchen Grandma"
"What do you think of the hotel?" - "It's a disappointment to be honest"
shoddy comment, I didn't find it funny at all.
After watching this I really hope Kobbie Mainoo doesn't end up like Dele Alli 😢
Keane is more like ferguson then he thinks
Stay strong Dele and Marcus. Kids in Africa are having a concert for you.
Presenter with a typical blown out of proportions view of reality putting a 'yes man' type question to Roy. If it was hoddle, he would've gone along with the hype, but not Roy. If I had a pound every time a pundit, former football or average English fan called one of their players 'world class' or best in the world over the past 30 years....I would be very rich. They still exist in the era of english clubs calling themselves the best before actually facing foreign clubs etc. English guy kicks a ball - Best in the world 😂
He was right and Rashfords the same. Both wasted talent. Very sad as both had potential to be top players.
literally, nothing to do with recent exposures!
Spoken like a true captain. Nothing wrong with doing commerical stuff, but obviously Keano would want the lad to focus more on football and less on distractions. Different day and age though, this kind of commerical stuff goes hand in hand with being a footballer in the premier league.
"That one didn’t age quite so well...."
Just another English media and pundit hype job lol, dele alli was just another victim of the English media,Jude Bellingham looking like the next one coming, hype them up so much to be world class legend players, reality is just average, alli had one good year bang hype was unreal, then he got found out made money lost interest simple, now your just seeing he was a bang average player, same as sancho Walcott rodwell Jeffers many others
How are Bellingham and Sancho in the same category when they both showed multiple seasons of elite production for Dortmund? The whole world rates Bellingham by the way, even Real Madrid apparently…
@@Wormholt Man Utd wanted to sign sancho Dortmund put a ridiculous price tag on him, remember was kicked out by Man City before so there was your warning sign, now look at him a total flop depression, come on don’t lie Bellingham stats are awful lol,English press hyping him up like he’s zidane or gerrard,he’s scored 24 goals in a 132 games for Dortmund?,is that amazing I don’t think so,what position does he actually play ?,can’t defend, passing very average like rice, certainly know not amazing goalscorer like a lampard or scholes in the day,so he’s a luxury player who doesn’t do a lot,Real Madrid also brought Johnathan woodgate who was a flop lol, they have made millions of flip signings,Bellingham isn’t guaranteed a start that’s a hell of a midfield competition he’s got,as he isn’t better then modric kroos or camavinga
Dont be daft he was the best 21 year old this country has seen and the stats proved it.
Scholes Lampard Gerrard all nowhere near the numbers Ali was pulling but the hype surrounding that was silly.
This country doesnt educate football fans well at all and hype ends up a killer.
@@paulos1878 best 21 year old England seen ???,really lol, michael Owen Wayne Rooney Steven Gerrard wasn’t better then him ??,scholes and lampard was way better then him to,alli was a flash in the pan as they say, burst onto the scene had a good season if your being kind 2seasons,then done finished never the same after that, this is the problem when you pay kids to much money and blow smoke up there ass like the English press and pundits do,always ends up in a crash, plus English press love building people up then ripping them down
Hes heard about delles partying thats why hes saying that
Called it…
Roy was spot on. Fair play to him.
Fame will eat you alive, everyone wants a peace of you and not one of them give two sh about you and when you realize how lonely you really are, the come down is tough to handle.
Lol everyone saying keane, this is completely different and he said the same about many other players doing adverts or messing with social media
This is hilarious how now people are claiming that keane had great awareness and compassion and foresight when this is literally the opposite! He’s talking about being too ‘involved in comercial stuff’ and should focus on the pitch. It’s a clear dig and just another example of how the media got it so wrong with Alli at the time when he was called lazy, indulgent, disinterested, arrogant, immature etc.

This is hack stuff - the guy has an interview out, so they're clearly looking for anything they can for the algorithm.
Nothing about his mental health or actual issues, just a note about losing focus on the game.
Yep
This video is a year old.
They talk shit about every player that's not on United snd then advertise it as some wise foreseen prediction 😂😂😂
Half of the people praising Keane here were probably calling him racist when he said that lmao
I went to Deli Ali last week damm good sandwiches
To be brutally honest i have more sympathy for the average men and women of his age in this country who are going to work but struggling to pay their way in life, deli has made his money and looks like hes had enough of football, he certainly doesn't look fit t play football
people like you are horrible,we've seen millionaires kill themselves its not one or the other we're all human he's been through a lot
agree tbh
You're talking about someone who was molested as a child you absolute twat.
He was sexually abused, exploited by drug dealers and put into care. Money isn't the topic of concern.
We should start calling him, Prophet Roy 😂
Calls it as it is fair but honest.
Roy was right to worry, but not about the things we all thought.
HOPE DELI STAYS STRONG HES BEEN THROUGH TOUGH PAST AS A CHILD
Every playr after ruining their careers with social media, parties and non related football stuff, come after regret and start talking about depression and trauma to gain sympathy and rebuild their career, it's a commun move and tactic from their agents which is pathetic
You are disgusting
molested a s a child were you? if not bore off youll never understand that not to mention being neglected and rejected by your biological parents, jealous plebs is what you are
That’s harsh
Keano knew it back then
No he didn't.
He's implying something completely different
That's why he was a captain
Wow didnt roys comment age well…
He was right to be concerned for him!
using that term wrong
He's using it right. He just forgot to add the ❓
money destroyed Alli and other things
Damn he was right
He’s still only 27 and hasn’t reached his peak, really hope he can have a good season and get back in the England squad for the euros.
There's pretty much no chance of that happening. His priority should be getting in a better place first
@@M0J0-RL236 he literally did that did you not watch the interview, and you can do more than one thing at once, dream bigger bud
The boohoo deal was a sign that the fame got to his head
That comment looks dumb now huh? Watch the interview, and you will know what got to his head.
@@ohboysvi know full well you were looking for a comment like this to say something. How could he have known? You may talk shit about some guy and in the future he does an interview, would you think it’s fair if you got attacked for simply not being able to predict something? Just unnecessary

@@ohboysv not really pal. Instead of signing clothing deals, he still could’ve worked on his game

Deli Ali interview to me came across as a don’t blame me for me blame someone else .
I would have beloved him more if he came out while on top rather than come out when he’s in the gutter .
Plenty of people have trauma to overcome , it’s just for a lot of us we don’t have the platform for people to feel sorry for us .
He’s a fortunate man that’s had some unfortunate things happen to him in early life .
He’s still experienced a side of life 99% never will and it’s time for him instead of crying to Gary Neville just finding a lower league club and rebuilding his football reputation as well as loving the game again.
Plus is would maybe wipe out that stinking attitude he has.
You in this comment come across to me as a deeply unpleasant and unempathetic individual.
You have no empathy and clearly missed the point of the interview. Dele owned up to the things he talked about. Why don't people get that when they give context on their background, they aren't using it as an excuse
You're an absolute idiot.
That’s an elite mindset! From someone who doesn’t believe in the victim mentality.
@@troy8613 you're an idiot
I mean, I wouldn’t exactly say it’s clairvoyance to call Dele Alli being hailed as the best 21 yo in the world a tad hyperbolic.
Seems like it was just another example of people in football going overboard and exaggerating. Sometimes all that hype bares out, and sometimes it doesn’t.
A broken clock is right twice a day though, anyone could've said this
Anyone could have predicted Germany beating Brazil 7:1, yet we still highlight those who actually did
In fairness I'm pretty sure Keane would say this about prime Leo messi. Man hates everyone
Really? People like Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher get on well with him. Micah Richards ... I think he's quite fond of his mother.
