There are options depending on the style of window you have but I have some videos showing a couple of options.ruclips.net/p/PLh0KqGKtX4oV_fjnia05jIw4c9b6VRflg
I don't know how were able to start the very corner of the house wrap, and it did not slide down. You must be fast on the draw I must say ! 😁 Those hammer tackers are a one trick pony in many regards, but they do their job well. Thank you for the update and information about house wrap Mr. Shannon. 👍
Really depends on your weather during that time and the type of sheathing used. Continual soggy wet weather on OSB for weeks at a time is not ideal and even ply wood can get damage under those conditions but usually would take longer. The fact that standing walls dont allow water to pool and soak in helps a lot for both products. In normal (none tropical) rain situations you would honestly be ok for up to 12 months likley but I generally like to get it covered in the first month or two. I have seen sheds built with OSB and they have never been covered or painted, they are still standing after years but I would not do that.
The big new thing is that Zip sheathing, that has the housewrap already on the face of it. Doubtless it's probably 3x the cost of OSB and doing the wrap yourself.
You will find that any time you need wind in your area. take out the house wrap or a drop cloth and the wind will come out of nowhere. Helpful tip.
😇 😁
Same goes for rain. Any time you want rain, start a roofing project.
Timely video, I'll be doing wrap this weekend, Thanks
Please video showing you installing a window & door with the tyvek. I would like to see how you install them. Thank You & Keep Up The Good Work.

The project is progressing really well. Are you going to get it water tight before winter?
yes it is .
More great tech tips. Thank you.
Shannon, gonna be at the hockey game tomorrow. Tuesdays game. I have no clue where I’m sitting yet. Waiting for the nephew to send my ticket.
I was out of town.
Great info! 👏
Thank you so much !
Thank you. 👍🏻
I think Tyvek recommends caulking behind the top end. As far as staples go, I prefer to use minimal staples and install the rain screen right away.
Hi Shannon!
A long do I have before installing the wrap before the plywood gets damaged?
