@@nichronos but I've been using a CPU contact frame bracket since the 12th gen, LTT was getting like 8c cooler temps, Frame Chasers & many others got up to almost 10c. Did you try re-liquid metaling it? Maybe your water cooler / AIO isn't cooling as well or your case air flows not good, I'm intaking cool air to my rad vs exhausting, maybe your room ambient temps before delidding was cooler, if not it may just be how your CPU is or its just boosting higher watts from being cooler which raises the temps, because I've been delidding since the 9700K / 9900K & always got better temps.
had to do this with my 14900, and now my 14900KS to just keep the temps REASONABLE lol, going forward I would suggest not removing the black glue. It looks nice but doesn't help performance and customer cannot see once the EK Contact frame is installed. you risk damaging SMD Capacitors as well.
I’m going to delid my first CPU and always see that they removed the black plastic and I guess is that thing layer of black glue couldn’t make a good contact with the direct die, or am I wrong? Beside, do you know what’s the delid tool he is using? It seems to be the rockitcool. I couldn’t find the derbauer at any marketplace Thanks!
@@martinfodor2848 I've had no issues with the contact frame not making good contact. As a matter of fact, I recommend you be very careful not to OVERTIGHTEN anything after you've delidded your CPU it can cause memory instability at the least and crack your die at the worst... When I used my EK-1700 Direct Die AIO I only tightened the contact frame on the board to finger tight and no more for memory stability, and same with applying the block onto the die, finger tight is just right.

I love the attention to detail. I could you do another video showing the temps, max clocks, power usage, etc.
No room for error with these guys love the videos❤
Love to see some before and after numbers. Never even knew this could be done, very exciting to see!
thx....pls subscribe BRO channel.

@@nichronos I delied my i9-13900KS with the Rocket Cool Copper IHS kit & I'm getting 8-9c cooler temps, using a AIO. 🤷♂

This is the CPU Intel sent to us to test the extreme performance....Please do not imitate non-professionals in life
yay you finally did it a delid!!
Perfect!!!! 👍👍👍👍

How much temperature do you win through this method? It looks like bad idea do so. 😮
If memory serves me correctly, about 5 to 10 degrees.

We don't care about the temperature. We care about how many GHz it can be overclocked to..We want to test the limits of this CPU

delidding my 14900K took me from 100C using conductonaut over the IHS to about 85C direct die under synthetic load

我用着13900ks 但在东南亚地区气候真的不适合 温度太高了 aio也就勉强压住
AIO 就一个360冷排存储量也就这样.压不了这些高端CPU了..只有分体水冷..可以多个冷排组合

yup ..i9-14900KS
Too much work just to get few drops in temps ... why not use bigger cooler dooh ... lol
