I got 2 months outta my Muck artic pro 2's and now they are leaking everywhere, I live in northeastern Montana, I can't have leaky boots, I'm switching to DRYSHODS today, already ordered ef Muck boots
I noticed that too! Lacross knee high boots same thing are crap now too. Night n' day from how they used to be. Just got a pair of the same dryshods awesome! Sorels are still good though too
Man I tell you what thank you for explaining this. I bought the muck chore steel toe and wore out the liner around my heel to the point that it was giving me a blister within six months. They sent me a replacement pair and I had the same issue plus also this time it split open on the side just like you said here. Now they have sold from Honeywell to another company. I'm pretty sure I'm done with these guys. Dry-shod it is
For work and adventure, I have worn nothing but Spokane-made logger boots for a decade and a half now, not having a real need for rubber boots. But things changed a little and I decided I needed some for work and for land management at home. Got a pair of Dryshod Destroyers yesterday and really do like them. I didn't know rubber boots had gotten this good. This will take some water/mud stress and wear off my logger boots-which fit my needs 90% of the time. If these hold up as they feel they should then I'll be completely satisfied with them. I know I'm getting my money's worth already, and they're really cheap compared to my other boots. I chose Dryshod because that's what the farm store had, I went in thinking they had Muck boots. I didn't care, I was buying boots yesterday. Then put them straight into standing water from heavy rains in my area. I am a surveyor by day, woodsman, becoming stockman (grass farmer).
@@dongerdong1184 Nicks has changed--but I got a "old-fashioned" pair from them last year an another pair a few years back (my 3rd and 4th pairs-old ones can't be rebuilt). I've probably got all the boot I need from now on. I'm 57. I got all the extras last pair--700 bucks total bill. I hated to see the changes, but that's what companies do--they make money and they don't care much how. I only wear the honey vibram sole and they do not put those on "stock" boots. I have to order custom every time to get honey vibram. They don't last as long, but are so much more comfortable with them-and a resole is just a few hundred(!) in todays money.
DryShod does not seem to offer a warranty to USA customers which concerns me buying a pair of their boots. They are expensive. The Canadian website for DryShod offers a 1 year warranty but not the USA...Waiting to hear from them about this.
Fuhgeddaboutit- I don't know where your comment went-lost in the tube somewhere lol. They run whole sizes only I wear around a 10 1/2 so I got the 10/11's and they fit fine.
I bought some muck boots around 4 days ago, 2nd day of owning them the logos started ripping off and the soles started ripping. I’m definitely ordering some dryshods tonight!
Oh man, sell-outs usually destroy a product, but somehow give the stockholders more money. Sucks for them when a new company comes along (pre sell-out) and has a better product for less money. But apparently there's enough money in degrading good products for whatever short-sighted reasons that the corporations don't care. Good for the new companies that make a better product, and luck is upon us "early adopters" when we find that new product. I don't know what caused it but Wranglers Riggs workpants took a huge quality dive recently. The old stuff was great, now they're junk! I lucked into Dryshod yesterday by circumstances (just had to have rubber boots) and am happy I did! Thanks for sharing your experience and the backstory on Dryshod.
@@premiumc2282 Holding up fine, they get the most use on muddy (clay of the stickiest sort) construction sites, but also are used in extra wet conditions when needed-or shallow streams. I have the "Destroyer" and also the "Mudcat" (no longer made). No leaks no problems. I've had the Destroyer's for 2 years now and the Mudcats for less than one. Most of my miles are put in other boots, but I've been pleased with these Dryshods.
Man I don’t know. I’ve never owner Mucks but I don’t feel like my DryShods held up very well. I’ve had them for a few years but I don’t feel like I’ve worn them that hard and now they have a hole near the big toe. I have many other non-rubber boots that have given me much better service life.
Dryshods suck just as bad. Chinese made junk. I've had my dryshod steel toe boots since Christmas 2019 and only wear em in the winter and they absolute junk. Holes in them and my feet froze in em.

We're they better?

Are the boots available in a store? Or do I need to buy them online?

Thanks for the backstory on Mr. Muck. Glad to hear he's back in the game.
Where can I buy the dryshod boots? Are they available at a store? Or so I need to buy them online?
Amazon and their own website.

How have they held up

I need good boots for fishing and I fish ALOT so if I buy a pair of Mucks they will fall apart and get my feet wet???
They used to be a good boot not now
Thats exactly what i gathered. Someone recommended muckboot to me, but i caught that they are trash now.
This is great thank u
Thanks pal,good video!
How do you dry them if they get wet
Peets boot dryer bud. All my boots live on there when not being worn. They're like 30 bucks.
thank you
Well you're welcome!
