❤ the room. I have to give a big shout out for the room not being visually cluttered. The room is very clean, calm and appealing. Students know where items are located. This is coming from a retired SPED and ELL teacher and mother of two children diagnosed with autism (level 1), ADHD, and generalized anxiety disorders. Looking forward to the next video.
Your room is looking great. You have mentioned this in previous years and I like how you continue to show that you can create an attractive, student-centered room without “breaking the bank.” I think teachers, especially brand new teachers, often feel they have to create Pinterest worthy rooms and buy every chart, border, etc. I think it is better to have a balance and focus more time and resources on high quality instruction. Thanks again for providing an example of a “balanced, student-centered room.”
Your room is coming together nicely. I really like your desk area. Although you have a lot going on in this area, it doesn’t look cluttered. It looks neat and put together. Love where you put your refrigerator and the plants are a nice addition. Can’t wait to see it all finished.
I love this uncluttered look esp the clear labels on the cabinet. I saw another set up video where a teacher put a piece of painter tape on the wall and then hot glued the laminated poster onto that. I think painter/ masking tape has a tack that stays put in all kinds of humidity. Might be worth a try?
What are the types of drawers that you are using in front of your desk to store supplies? I really thing that they look great. I think your room is shaping up to look amazing. Than you for sharing. Alicia from CT
The room looks so great so far! Love how organized everything is. I’m always so jealous of american teachers cause you guys get to customize your classrooms, here in Brazil we have way less freedom. Can’t wait to see the library area! 🩷
Would love more info on how you incorporate the Secret Stories. I bought them 2 years ago and tried using them but found that I had a hard time memorizing all the stories and it just didn’t “flow” well. Do you explicitly teach them or teach as they come up in daily reading?
It’s looking great! What type of fish 🐟 you have there and how many. Can’t wait to see the aquaponics up. I lead the school community garden and this year we actually getting an aquaponics tower in the classroom. So excited! Looking forward to see the library set up! Love from Jersey-Mariana
@@MVPonthego the fish were donated so I know once is like a 9 year old goldfish! The other two I’m not sure. So three total! You’ll love the aquaponics tower!
Love the changes that were suggested. An idea gor your student boxes if they fit would be on top of the new library once it's built. Then maybe the fish tank could fit on the other side of your closet storage. Go Bison!! From Fargo, ND
@@christinafreitag7792 I’m hoping to make the top of the new library shelves padded so it can be used to sit and lay on while they read. However, if that plan doesn’t work, it’d be great for book boxes! I hadn’t thought of that!

Thank you so much! Best part about moving into a new room is being able to take time to go through all my stuff, purging, and getting organized!

@@la563 I definitely agree! And I’ve had years where I’ve fell into that trap but have learned less is more!

I’m not sure the name! My school bought them several years ago… I do know they came from Walmart!

Thanks so much 🥰🥰
That room is divine!
I’m so excited for it!!
You could run the fish tank cord up the wall and tape it under the cabinets so it’s not running along the surface.
I think I’m gonna try a cord protector thing! If o don’t like that, I might give this a go!

I agree the fish and desk setup is much better. Why is the water green though?
@@Otterice I think it’s from the background and the light of the tank not being on… it’s clear in person I promise haha

Try hot glue on the cinder block. I have also seen teachers put paint tape and the hot glue on top of the paint tape.
Busting out the hot glue next time!
color coded your chromebook charging stations for easy access for students
@@joshuapalmerkaplan yep that’s why I need A Primary Kind of a Life to come visit and do that for me 😂
