Great video Joe - I love how laid back this video was. The main problem with me is it's all great when I am doing work for someone, but I struggle to find the motivation to do outreach. It's something I've got to get over. I also find it extremely lonely. I'm looking for a more permanent position and then building up freelancing on the side, I think. Im struggling with editing like ive been practicing for what almost 5 yrs now? Im 18 yrs old and i havent made an editing reel yet or tried at my dream of being a freelance editor just incase im not good enough! Im glad lots struggle in this industry makes me feel seen, thank you for doing this
There's a nice saying something like, if you do something you love, you can never fail, cause you will at the very least have had a good time doing it. If you work hard and have a good showreel and reach out to enough clients you will get there! Just keep going!
