It's here, the Christmas season. I love taking found items and creating beautiful decor from them. Christmas is the prefect time to do this . All year I look for red lanterns. And any other type of decor that I can make into beautiful Christmas decor pieces.

I have two of the little red ones that has lights that run off of a battery. I’m going to check tomorrow and see if I can take the glass off and add some little trees inside!!! Thanks for the great ideas!!! I love lanterns!!! You are so much fun to watch and learn from!!!

These lanterns are so nice. I have used Epsom salt for snow, too. It is much prettier, and more realistic, than glitter. My favorite lantern is the one with the deer. So pretty.

I really am not a fan of glitter either. I get so frustrated when I find what I am looking for and it has glitter on it. Very cute idea with the lanterns.

I don’t recall EVER seeing a lantern thrifting. I do have a few in my staging stash though. They may just have to be repurposed! I saw the deer at Dollar Tree yesterday, but they were too big for the project i was working on. Now I’m going to have to go get them!

Thanks for another great video. I love how they all turned out. When you are looking for plain, unscented epsom salt look in the pharmacy section of most stores not in the bath product section. It usually comes in a bigger bag and costs a lot less. I do add in just a tiny bit of ultra fine iridescent glitter and it makes it look like real snow.

Cute ideas! The larger white lanterns remind me of a Town Center Gazebo decorated for Christmas. Fairy lights on the trees and even around the top would truly resemble that. Great ideas! Thanks for the inspiration!

Dollar Tree sells Epson salt for a $1.00 , they also have some of the little skaters you could add with a tree or two . Even a house and tree would be cute. So many great ideas. The only thing with epsom salt is that it will look good for a lil while but once it goes into storage you'll more than likely find it all melted and gross the next season when you pull it out. The minute any humidity settles on it, it melts. And spraying a sealant on it doesn't work well either because adding something wet to it melts it also.

I wondered how to get inside those lanterns to decorate them - now I know - thanks so much for showing us that! All of the lanterns are so beautiful. I love how you decorated them and used the ribbon. My fav is the one with the two deer. It’s absolutely gorgeous! (Enjoyed the bloopers!)

I used some tacky glue to build the salts up on the bottom. Then I used the spray adhesive to top it off with a little extra salt. Those turned out so well!!
