I don’t think your eclipse is Merlot. Merlot is a suedey leather. I love how you don’t hoard bags like so many ppl. You have just enough and it’s an inspiration
I think you might be right about that. I'm looking on their website and I can't find anything that looks like it's in that same color. I wonder if it's a discontinued color.
I just ordered a Butterfly bag from PLG. A good quality leather bag is a good investment because they never go out of style, look more interesting as they age, and are very durable. I am willing to pay more for a leather bag, and at least with PLG you aren't paying for a bunch of designer branding like department store bags that cost twice as much.
The edges and the wear and tear on these bags can be prevented and actually repaired if you would just apply leather lotion to them. You should do it once a month on items that you use everyday. It would take you all of a minute. The leather lotion will clean and remoisturize it, and it'll also buff out the scratches. Also the leather that changes color every time you ding or stretch it was diet especially with a vegetable oil dye so that it would have that effect. You can still clean it with a leather lotion every moisturize it, and if you don't like the color variation of the dings and scratches just apply firm pressure and that usually will make them go away. When you're done cleaning the moisturizing them You should apply spray protector. That'll protect them against any accidental spills, rain, etc that can ruin them. It will just bead up and roll off. Again if it's a product you use everyday respray every 3 months. If you only use it occasionally once a year is fine. Also make sure to not store any of these items in plastic. I love the look and quality of Portland leather, but I find it completely shocking that they have nothing on there telling about the care of their items, and they don't seem to sell these products either. You can get them from another reputable leather company. Just make sure you don't use anything like saddle soap or mink oil on any of your leather products. Leather needs to breathe, and this puts a shell on it that actually causes it to dry out and crack over time. Also it can change the color of your leather and make it dark. I know you can get the lotion and the spray from Wilson's leather for around $12 for both and that's more than a year supply. You can also probably find these items on Amazon. Just make sure that they are silicone free. Anyways try this out because it will make your items Look new again, and it will make them last a lifetime! :-)
I’ve been wanting the Madewell MediumTransport Tote/Crossbody for years. I recently found out about the Portland Leather Goods Medium Tote/Crossbody one. I’m on the fence between them. I’m also torn between zippered and unzipped. I really love love love the slouchy look. Not sure which one would give me that.
@@mossyoakmom8880 I ended up getting a Portland Leather Goods one without a zipper, but then noticed after I placed my order that Go For The Goods customizes their bags, obviously price will increase a bit but I would have had exactly what I wanted. ☹️😢🥺😩 I guess I’ll have to wait a little to save money and get it.
After my order of the oversized tote I found some negative reviews about a chemical smell on BBB. Now I’m scared. I’m hoping I’m one of the ones who got a good product. It’s either great reviews everywhere or extremely negative reviews. My anxiety has me clutching my pearls. I want so bad to be a PLG groupie

If you condition your tote, it will look almost new again and shiny. Omg I have the triangle in Sunshine. So beautiful. I love PLG
I have purchased quality, full grain leather. I’ve saved so much money, purchasing quality over the long haul 👜
You totally inspired me to get my first tote bag! It came this week and I LOVE it. I'm trying to decide which wallet to get now:) Love you friend:)
Oh so exciting! They have that new one with the zipper that looks very cool. And they have so many fun new colors now. Love you too!

Yes. Quality is key.
:)
Love that smaller black purse!, nice present! You could also try a lambswool pad on the shoulder strap- they make them for tool belts
That would make the shoulder strap super comfy!
Which bag have you been eyeing?

I definitely only use the zipper when we go to the movie theater twice a year. :)
I think Portland Leather is much higher quality than Madewell.
