  • TEAM JO-JO:
Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with two mates: my regular fishing companion, Big Rudy, and a new mate, Big Roger, whom we met at Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Session last Saturday. During our gathering, we hit it off with Big Roger and decided that a fishing trip was in order to properly introduce him to the wonders of Delacroix.
We chose today, Thursday, May 24th, 2024, for our adventure, as the conditions seemed perfect for a productive day on the water.
Our mission was not only to show Big Roger the best spots in Delacroix but also to hopefully catch a few Silverwonders and Redwarriors along the way. It was the ideal opportunity to share the beauty and excitement of Delacroix’s fishing grounds with a new friend.
The camaraderie and shared enthusiasm made the day special, and we looked forward to seeing what the waters would yield.
    OUR REWARDS:
    • Lived to fish another day.
    • (21) Silverwonders, 17 Miniwonders
    • (4) Redwarriors
    • (2) Drum
    • (1) Gar
    • (5) Gaff Tops
    • (1) Fresh water cat
    • (2) Popped lines BIG fish (1) extra poles
    • (3) Sticks
    • (1) Bushel of grass
    • Being on the water with 2 of the best fisherpersons me know , be Big Roer & Big Rudy
    • On the way home we stopped at Penny’s restaurant, today buffet fried chicken, she has some of the best around.
    • Lessons learned:
 Oak River Troll technique still producing a lot of fish, wind helped us a lot
 Tight lining technique was a little off today, wind did not help us
 Clean water , (a 6 plus on a scale of 1-7) in Point Fienne and close surrounding areas, we stayed in clean water area.
 Team Jo-Jo spot # 9 holding fish, and water looked great with a great current line to set up on
    • Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
    Good Fishing

Roger hitting that ORT pretty good. Not too bad for those conditions, though the Boss has about 100 spots for each hard wind. The BFS cuts thru that like it's bath water, ... and then it comes down with a nice thud. She's a beauty, might be harder than a diamond and survive a nuclear holocaust.

BFS be solid boat, and it feels very solid when she comes off a wave and hits the water, no cushion at all.

Not much on eating them, love fighting them, and enjoy taking fisherperson fishing more than anything.
