Greetings Christy --- what a fabulously looking card !!!! --- way to go ---- just love it --- from about mid January to mid December I make at least one Christmas card a week and some times I will make 2 and the odd time 3 --- depends --- most of the cards are for the Christmas trade show I attend and the rest for family/friends --- for Christmas I mail the cards Dec. 7 th --- that way it is all done --- have a great week ---- Ann
I love the color palette for this card. I aspire to make Christmas cards all year long but am usually scrambling at the last minute in December to make the bulk of what I need. So far, I have made 5 this year, but I am taking part in some online and in-person classes this month and next, so I will have a few more to add to my tally. As always, thanks for the inspiration.
I totally get it, Mary! You’ve got me beat! I’ll have to try to get another one in this month while I’ve got it on the brain.💕🐚 Thanks got your kind words!
Hi Christy, I love the colours you used for the background and the golden splatter detail. It really makes your 'Christmas tree' pop! The shells, star, coral and embellishments are gorgeous too! Thanks for sharing this fun card! I usually leave making my Christmas cards to the last minute, in November. Then there is a mad panic to get them made and posted on time! I wish I was more organised!☺️🌲🎅
I appreciate you saying that! Thank you! And I totally get it. I used to not be able to start until after Thanksgiving, but it was so stressful i movies it back to Halloween, but it was still such a mad dash to get a good amount done for my Holiday Card Series, that last year I started after my birthday in September. That worked a little better, so I’ll probably do the same this year.☺️
I love all the bling very pretty card. I generally wait until the fall to do Christmas cards but depending on what’s going on in life like to do earlier so fall /Christmas season does not seem so rushed. One year we drove out west in July knowing this ahead of time I die cut all my pieces to Christmas cards and “premade” as much as Possible and on road trip assembled and it was amazing to have them done . It has been the one year I have felt “on top” of it and not rushed. So I think it’s nice to do ahead. Saying all that I may try and make one a week from now till fall so they will be complete, enjoy the process and not feel rushed ❤
Very clever for a Christmas tree …love the colors. I try to do some in between so I’m not swamped at holidays …sometimes I make it and sometimes I’m scrambling 🙄😉
Beautiful card! I love the colors you chose. I have been coloring Christmas images all year to stock up. I will assemble them in November. Last year I was not organized at all so I am trying to avoid that chaos again. Thanks for sharing 🥰
Such a pretty card! I love how you colored the seashells, they look gorgeous. Your color combinations are stunning. Your ink blended background is gorgeous. I, absolutely, love the splatters, they are so pretty. I don't usually do any Christmas cards until, after Thanksgiving. It's not that I think it's wrong to do that out of season or anything, it's that I am too busy doing other stuff to think about it any earlier. I love watching other people making them and getting creative, I am just too much of a procrastinator to do them myself. Maybe this year will be different, but I doubt it. I love seeing your creations and getting inspired by you. You are so talented and creative, thank you for sharing your gifts with us. Have a wonderful week, take care my friend!
I totally understand that, Rose, and I’m the same way! Unless there’s a challenge like this one for Lawn Fawnatics, I just don’t make the time to work that far ahead because I’ve got so much going on in the short term. Especially right now, getting ready to leave for Germany in a couple weeks! Thank you so much for your exceptionally sweet compliments! I really needed a mood boost today and you did that for me, so thank you sincerely! Have a wonderful week, friend!🥰
I make Christmas cards all year long, and I love it! It’s my favorite holiday! 🎄

So very Beautiful.....I slack on making Christmas cards.
Me too, usually, Heidi! I always say I’m going to be better about it, but it’s not easy to focus on something that still feels so far away!😊
Nice idea that I will enjoy using for some of our Christmas cards. Thanks!
So glad you enjoyed it!🙂

That makes a lot of sense! That was smart of you to do all that prep before your trip. Thanks so much for watching!😀

Oh, that’s so interesting! I loved hearing about your process, Susie!☺️
It varies with my Christmas cards, but I also make Christmas ornaments, I do start those in the summer, because I make approximately 60
Wow, that’s so cool! I love that!☺️

I’m not big on making Christmas cards, it’s too much pressure. I LOVE your background blending though. It’s such a beautiful card!
I get it. Making Christmas cards is actually my favorite, I just have a hard time starting this early. Thanks so much for watching!🙂
I have made Christmas cards around the 25th of each month. I have about 80 now.
Wow! That is so smart! Way to go!🎅🏼🤶🏻
I can’t make myself work on cards “out of season”.
I totally understand that.🙂
