Well, Happy belated Birthday Kristina! I hope it was a wonderful day! I love how easy you make water colouring look. The Oxides look beautiful on this card, I didn't realize they could be used in this way! AWESOME!
Happy belated birthday Kristina! Hope you had a wonderful special day. Love this card and helpful tips on paint palate and on the distress oxide inks. I think I'm going to buy them. And of course another cute card with great painting tips. TFS. You're a great teacher. I learn so much from you and Jennifer!!!
Pretty please do a video using your stamp set in the June SSS card kit. Every sample I've seen so far is so similar. I can always count on you to bring some creativity. Happy belated birthday!
I love the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. You did such a lovely card, Kristina! Thanks for all of the input on the products you used for this video. I agree with Roselee, we need to see a June SSS card kit sample from you.
Such a cute card. Sometimes when I see people add sequins I wonder what they are thinking but in this case they were the perfect added touch to this darling card.
Happy Happy Birthday Kristina!!! Hope your day was amazing! Beautiful card and love all the information you gave on using the Distress Oxide Inks when watercoloring. Beautiful ring and my Birthday was last week too!
Thank you so much for showing the many uses for the distress oxides, your card is lovely and I love the sky background so much!!! Off to make some sky backgrounds!
Awwww, after reading some comments below, I just realized that it was your birthday so "Happy Belated Birthday Kristina"! As always, an adorable card and I love the realism of the sky. It was interesting to see how the Oxide inks worked when painting with them. TFS Kristina
It's interesting that you mentioned the color looking like children's book illustrations. Watercoloring with the Oxide inks sounds similar to gouache, which is what children's book illustrators (at least those who do "traditional" painting) primarily use. Love the colors you used in your card, and the simple design! Happy belated birthday, too! :)
Hi Kristina ~ Hope your birthday weekend was fabulous!! Great card and I'm thrilled that you've shown us this watercoloring technique with the Oxides. Love how they blend and will give watercoloring a whirl this weekend (I hope!!). ~HUGS~ #kindnessmatters PS: LOVE your ring!!! It reminds me of a lovely pin I inherited from my Aunt Helen.
This card is so cute, I love how you added the dots and lines for more detail. I wonder if you could do a watercolor wedding invitation as inspiration ☺️💗✨
I love the card. I recently started playing with the oxide inks & I love them. I look forward to watching the next video to see what Kristina's going to do next. Oh happy belated birthday.!
I'm hoping these inks will soon come out in the small cubes so that l can collect them all sooner. So far l only have 2 colors & l haven't used them yet. I wish my budget would allow me to buy them all at once. Beautiful card, as always. Hugs...
I used the ink from the oxide re-inkers and found that the ink really stuck to my brush bristles making it hard to clean them. Did you have this issue? I freaked out a little that I had ruined my brush! It came out eventually. I was also using just the ink, not watered down. Maybe that makes a difference. I'm still nervous about using my Silver brushes with these inks. I'm happy to see that you used them with yours though!
From what I have seen on different videos, the oxides blend very easily and well using blending tools. Still waiting to purchase them to see for myself.
I have heard some people having trouble with the micropore tape in the die-cutting-machines and the sticky oozing trough the tape and onto the cutting plate, which then leaves marks on the next project...
Your cards and techniques are always creative and I've learned so much! However, so far these Oxide inks do not seem impressive and leave me with "blah" feeling...which is just fine as I certainly don't need to buy any more ink!
I've watched a couple of videos from other card-makers using this stamp and die set.......very cute set. That being said, I wish Waffle Flower's die had cut between the "strings" on this balloon as I find the "white space" around the little bear distracting. Thank you so much for doing this video on water-coloring with oxides.....I'd been wondering if they would perform similarly to regular distress inks. Very cute card, and I love the added details you painted on the balloon.
You described it perfectly when you said it reminds you of children's book illustrations. I like this look a lot, very nicely done.
Super cute card. Love the Tim Bolts oxide colors. Thanks for sharing
Bright and cheerful wishes. Thanks for showing the oxide inks water coloring. Thoroughly enjoy your videos and your work.
What a fun card. Those Oxides are remarkable!
Well, Happy belated Birthday Kristina! I hope it was a wonderful day!

Really helpful to see the oxide inks used in a watercolour painting technique. Thank you.

Great tutorial. I love this card! Very cute. Thank you.
Really cute...great idea to use a broad brush for applying the water ☺
Adorable :-) And belated Birthday Wishes Kristina!
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you enjoyed it.
You are so creative!
Cute card.
Karen,
Thank You for this video. Was wondering about water coloring with distress Oxide ink. Much appreciated
love that ring!

The Oxide opacity reminds me of the difference between gauche and watercolour. I've used both in painting using the traits of each for their effects.
Beautiful, just ordered mine
Beautiful!
Happy Birthday!

So cute, Kristina! Take care, Kim :)
Great card
Happy Birthday ! :)
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Kristina!
I know this old but try to paint a ceramic figure with these without water looks wonderful just spray with a sealer an wow looks great
Happy Belated Birthday thank-you
The volume seems to be cutting on and off but super cute!!!
Hmm... I just rewatched the video (I do that to make sure there aren't errors) and it seems to be okay on my end.
K Werner Design yep maybe it was just my connection I just rewatched and it sounds great!
Thanks you are so good.
where did you buy the stamp positionar from? that really cool
Happy late birthday💛
very cute
so these inks were made to sit on top of each other and to really layer well I see there may be blending issues. did you find that to be the case?
From what I have seen on different videos, the oxides blend very easily and well using blending tools. Still waiting to purchase them to see for myself.
I have heard some people having trouble with the micropore tape in the die-cutting-machines and the sticky oozing trough the tape and onto the cutting plate, which then leaves marks on the next project...
Hmmm... I'll have to watch out for that.
If you heat emboss an image that was stamped with distress oxide, can you then watercolor over it without the water altering the stamped image?
No, the ink will always be reactivated with water. That's how the ink is formulated.
Your cards and techniques are always creative and I've learned so much! However, so far these Oxide inks do not seem impressive and leave me with "blah" feeling...which is just fine as I certainly don't need to buy any more ink!
i wish i could be like you
Cool! xxx
please please please make a graduation card
I still don't understand what the big different is between regular Distress Inks and these? :(
The formulation is very different. You might look up Tim Holtz's videos here on RUclips. I think he shows a comparison.
I've watched a couple of videos from other card-makers using this stamp and die set.......very cute set. That being said, I wish Waffle Flower's die had cut between the "strings" on this balloon as I find the "white space" around the little bear distracting. u should have colored the sky between that animal and the balloon....... I think u didn't notice that 😃
Tarib Abidi that really stood out to me but I still loved the card.
They behave a little more like gouache rather than watercolour!
