I was there in 2008. And from all the Maya sites Tikal is one of the most beautiful! You captured the beauty of the site perfectly. I also met there very inspiring tourguides. In the Guatamala civil wars they were takes away from there village. They managed to escaped the convoy. And lived 9 months in the jungle to survive the war.
I climbed 6 out of the 7 temples here back in 2008 and it will take your breath away. It's massive, peaceful and majestic. Magical energy is surrounding it throughout. Took 7 hours to hike it but it was worth every second. I will never forget it!

Thank You Devin, my Dad enjoyed seeing Tikal again after visiting in his college days. Lots of your videos are fun, but ones like these just mean so much and take you breath away.
It's an excellent video that makes you dream to be there sometime in the future...the Mayas were excellents architects and built the first skyscrapers in the New World.
I'm a fan of yours from way back. I've been to Tikal and I want to thank you for creating something that most closely represents the images I have stored in my own memory. Well done. Glad to see your sucess
Yeah I saw that shortly after, my bad. Are you guys still using the inspire, or something bigger? While you're here I also want to say, from one filmmaker to another, thanks for all the great content.
Crossed over from Belize while staying in San Ignacio to visit Tikal in 2019. Well worth the few hours drive, the border crossing wasn't too bad at all in a rented car (Guatemala only recognizes certain rental companies from Belize so check when renting if you plan to do this). It's a very nice nature park at the same time, I can imagine walking around that park a lot if it was close by. It's a wondrous place to visit, the few people we met in rural Guatemala along the way were all very nice. Since Tikal is in a rural area, the usual tourist traps and overcrowding are at a minimum for such a famous site.
Tikal is a majestic and unique place, it is obligatory to visit that imposing archaeological site without mentioning that Guatemalans are only friendly and hospitable. greetings from Guatemala city !!! 🇬🇹
Very nice drone footage. Tikal is an amazing sight, with tons of Mayan palaces, temples, and ruins to explore. We were there when there were no people, really a special feeling to wander around all by ourselves. Well done :)
Congrats for such amazing footage. I’m always looking for some inspiration for my next videos and photos. This definitely made me contemplate every second of it
Honestly it's great to see my ancestors temples. I am Guatemalan and Mayan and I've been trying for years now to find out more about the Mayans before they disappeared.
