I was a huge fan of Dankmus and Dankpods independent of each other for at least a year before I realized they were the same guy. It's really impressive how well the projects stand on their own.
Sometimes i forget that the man who yelled about plum liqueur for roughly 5 minutes straight while smashing technology is actually super intelligent and has an absolutely solid setup to accomplish his ambitions
I love this guy. He just kills a plastic duck when he’s mad. He’s an inspiration to all!
I have been an IT guy for like 20 years now. Nothing sucks quite as much as getting "quality" gear and not having it work well, or work at all. So frustrating, I feel your pain mate!
I think not plugging your own channels all the time is the right choice. Some channels end up spending like 30 seconds to a minute every video plugging stuff. It gets old. But part of your style is, you jump into a video, you do the thing, you shoutout your supporters and we oggle Frank like stalkers. It's simple, effective and awesome! I never need to skip past all the same plugs that other content producers put in every, single, video.
I'm to a point where I do the exact same thing every time I buy any new tech: Find a weirdly hyperspecific enthusiast subreddit for the bit of tech I need, search for "budget option", pay the minimum $150 that is their "budget" solution, and then it will work flawless for the rest of time.
The moment when I realized that I've been subscribed to dankmus for years without knowing it was you was truly mind blowing. I found both channels completely separate from each other and loved both without knowing it was the same person 🤯
These videos are SO SO useful to all of us hobbyists who might consider any of these products. Reviews, overviews, unboxings... they're fine. But "what can go wrong" is SO SO much more useful for anyone who is considering actually using any of these products.
For the Elgato capture thingys : plug them each into their own USB3 controller, this will make a huge difference in reliability
I love watching vids like this because Dank gives the energy of a man who REALLY WANTS TO SWEAR but is holding it back for the content, and the rage comes out in more creative ways.
The range of entertainment we get from your channels is immense. I seriously don’t know how you juggle so many passions and still manage to deliver top tier content about it all. Seriously dude, thank you.

Reminder in the form of a truly iconic DankPods quote:

You need to disable exposure compensation to get 60fps on most webcams. You can adjust this under camera privacy settings on Windows 11 or usually with the included software.
I truely love that "it's almost like the biggest companies make the worst products" is the running theme of this channel

I feel like ever customer service agent is required to say: "No one has ever had this issue before".
For your livestreams I definitely recommend a Blackmagic ATEM switcher. I ran a whole film festival for 5 weeks straight from one of those using 8 hdmi inputs and a line in for audio.
The smell of that Bluetti power supply may be due to the type of plastic it was made with.
