She's very consistent with her stories and answers in interviews, i love how articulate she is. I now understand why she doesn't watch her movies especially the one's she directed because she spend so much time with the editing and repeating it over and over , and dubbing, and at the same time your acting. No one would understand her that time because she's the first woman director ever and acting all at the same time.

Barbra is so smart and articulate. She is as insightful and intelligent as she is talented. Brilliant lady!

Now that’s a voice my god! She says she never lip syncs, so it’s done in one take...I loved all the music in this movie.

I liked this interview. He asked his questions and actually let her answer. I thought he was pretty respectful.

She has more talent in her pinkie finger than most other stars in their entire bodies

I grew up in the Seventys. Believe me, it was a tough time for a female to grow up. We hadn't much advanced from medieval times with regards to women, but we could see it changing in the near future. So frustrating! It was such a relief for someone like Barbra to come along, and show us how to do it, and that it could actually be done. Barbra has inspired me. I now am a very strong woman. Unlike Barbra, I had a marvellous mother, also very strong, who made me feel i was equal, and could be me instead of what a man wanted me to be! It has helped shape my life not to be the subservient little woman I was on track to be. I now have a very equal relationship of 25 years. This could never have been achieved for me as the subservient women I grew up knowing. Thank God for Barbra and of course my amazing mother.

Wow I believe in everything that you said. I'm 27 and I find her so brilliant. She is a pride to women like us. I watch all her interviews and I'm so fascinated by her intelligence and her views and opinions about certain things. She's someone whom I can look up to. Wish I could tell her how I admire her work and impact in this society.

If your mother was marvelous and very strong, why do you say you were growing up to be subservient? I would say your Mother was a great example to follow.

One thing I noticed, Barbra can transform herself to the role, she looked different when she is singing and acting. It's like there is another person and it's not her...so for me she's the BEST ACTRESS!

I remember when the movie came out and the reviews were awful, but everybody liked the movie. And Frank Pierson's scathing piece on how horrible Barbra and Jon were. But isn't it like fighting with your contractor when he's not doing what you paid him to do? It wasn't till all these years that I finally understand Barbra's side of it. She should have fired Mr Pierson. Here in this interview she seems very content with herself. She proved all the critics wrong. It was very successful. I wish she had made more movies, movies that she wanted to make. And I feel so bad that she didn't get to do Gypsy. But she could direct Melissa McCarthy as Rose and Daisy Ridley as Louise. Wouldn't that be something!

The one thing I will never get over was her not doing the Sarah Bernhardt film with Ken Russell. As I remember it she took Ken's detailed outline and paid a Hollywood writer to write a script without Russell's Knowledge. I actually have a copy of Ken's ideas for the script. This was written when he was in his prime. From my understanding she tried to sue Ken for the cost she spent, to no avail, she lost the law suit. It would have been an incredible film.
